Concealed carry permits

To those who want unregulated caryy. There is a saying in engineering that the perfect is the enemy of the good.

To those who wish to make a difference. Please go here and sign my petition

Encourage the protection of all people in all Schools from harm by crazy people.

1. Laws do not keep crazy people from obtaining firearms

2. Words have no magical properties. Saying that an area is a Gun Free zone, does not make it a Gun free zone.

3. Given tens of millions of people, it is impossible to find every possible crazy person out there who might, in the future, decide that they want to kill many people with minimum risk to their success.

4. No individual has EVER gone into a police bar, or police station, and committed mass murder.

Thus I petition that the president encourage, at a state level, in line with the US constitution, that all states encourage their schools to have at least one staff member be trained to use and carry a firearm while at work at school, or to hire such a person who could also be a clerk or otherwise do useful work.

Reduce even more by...

...realizing that needing a permit is basically asking the government for your God-given right. Anyone that has a gun should not have to register, and should not have to ask permission to conceal it. Just because someone was a felon, does not mean they should not be allowed to own a gun nor vote (what if they were a political prisoner?). People who aren't going to pass a background check can just get a gun with the number filed off. Just open up the process completely and stop letting the government regulate ANYTHING, including drugs, alcohol, tobacco, guns, and behaviors like wearing a seat belt.

Please come join my forum if you're not a trendy and agree with my points of view.

As Much as I like Swann's Reporting...

...his rhetoric and the picture of his advocacy that results, is one of an unknowing gun-controller, but one with a 'conservative' twist.

Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I am referring to his commentary about 'permits' and 'responsible citizens' carrying with a permit; which I must assume means that those 'responsible' citizens who 'government' has deigned to 'permit' to exercise what is a fundamental individual liberty.

An individual's right to keep and bear arms does not require nor continence any government 'infringement', which is exactly what government approved, granted and revokable 'CCW permits', are...a direct infringement of the unalienable.

Sad when such views are lauded and cheered over by the segment of our population who purport to be the one's who know how the nation should be governed, aka the 'conservatives', most republicans and a healthy chunk of purported liberty-advocates.

...if 'we' cannot even get this most fundamental and basic of liberty-philosophy correct and if 'we' climb on this type of bandwagon and advance it as being constitutional or societally correct, well, we are utterly lost.

We are in really bad shape as a once-republic, boys and girls.

Highly unlikely they would try this in Wisconsin. Walker recently pushed through a STATUTE (which backs up the constitution) that people can concealed carry anywhere in the state.

I wonder what the stats are in Constitutional Carry States

too bad Ohio does not recognize Constitutional Carry and is still much harder to get an Ohio carry permit than most other states

There is a HUGE MEDIA battle that has been waged to destroy that idea.

God Bless you Ben for bringing it back to life!

Ben Swann is right,

This would solve the problem swiftly. (And that's why Congress is unlikely to do it! ):
