An Idea to Recognize a Friend in Liberty

This perhaps is silly, but without Ron Paul as a rallying point it is easy to forget what brought us here in the first place; liberty. I thought in order to be able to recognize each other (and ultimately our basic core beliefs despite any of the variation around any given topic) we may consider a visual representation. I was thinking something like a little bracelet or something. Something we can each maker ourselves for cheap.

Something along the lines of…

-Olive & White: Peace
-Gold/Bright Yellow: Hope
-Blue: Knowledge

…braided together

I know the last thing we want is more of an appearance of a cult but this is a good starting point I suppose. I just felt that it might be important to quickly be able to recognize a friend in liberty at a moments notice should the need ever arise.

I'll Bump.....

Excellent Idea! I'll bump.

Need to keep it simple and something we all can just make easily at home. Maybe make a few to give to friends, just to get the ball rolling. That gold-foil bit lends some good ideas. Could be just a gold-foil circle or square placed on a certain area. Be sure to vote up the post.

Just some thoughts....

Ron Paul bumper stickers. I

Ron Paul bumper stickers. I find myself being more generous on the road to people with Ron Paul bumper stickers.

You know what?

I believe the government would love that. Why would they try to mark us (examples: mandatory ID, biometric information, nazi tattoos, etc..) when we could do it for them voluntarily, right?

Please feel free to go ahead with that idea and please excuse me for not taking part in it.

I try to change people every day. Do You?

Oh Com'on......

I see your point and it is valid. But I don't see this as being much different than wearing a RP or don't tread on me shirt, etc.

Right now there's nothing wrong with it one way or another, cause there's no association. All things can be worked for good or evil. In the long end, it's all in how things get played out.

hmm

You might be onto something.

While I like the idea, it's also reminiscent of the yellow stars of David. I'd rather show my "faction allegiance", for lack of a better term, with my words rather than an accessory.

It could also make it easier to attract infiltrators, since eventually many people would associate the bracelet with liberty loving folks without question.

OR, it might take off and become a new fashion trend, opening people up to the idea of liberty without them even realizing it.

It could go down a million different ways.

Re: hmmm

Good points. To get some ideas, think of past symbols and what ones represented us best. Maybe with a little tweeking you got something new.

perhaps

we can all shave out left eyebrows off!

...yeah I've got nothin'

The closest thing I can think of is the Free State Project, but very few people actually WANT to live in NH (not that I can blame them, lol).

The idea of a common 'identifier' definitely has potential, though.

Just had a thought about how many of us here tend to sprinkle Latin throughout our posts, but most everyone uses common Latin phrases, and only a handful of people can actually speak it full-on.

But, it made me consider something else: Why not do what 'they' do and start using a new vocabulary?

Public school becomes "government education center", assault rifle becomes "defense rifle", Patriot Act becomes "Tyranny Act" and so on...

My daughter was studying at her desk the other day. She had taken the gold foil from a holiday pear and made a kind of skull cap. I wish I could post a picture.

Anyway, gold foil caps would make us all visible to one another. Think about it.

Why not halos?
