"The Republican presidential race is so unsettled that some party officials are openly talking of a scenario that seemed almost unthinkable until now: the first contested GOP convention in 60 years.....http://www.theconservativevoice.com/ap/article.html?mi=D8U7EM1G0&apc=9008

Ron is the only one that can win from the Repugnicant side.

Republicans have destroyed America Fiscally and Monetarily. Stock market is worth less than half of what it was when the crooks tookover in 01. The Dollar is worth half. Oil is up four fold. They've stolen 75% of your money if you've held assets in U.S. dollars and left us a national debt that is worse than a million Enrons. If Ron doesn't win I think it's clear that most Americans are mentaly ill.

So the question is...

How are brokered conventions "settled"?

here's the deal

your delegates are required to vote for you on the first ballot.

If no candidate has a majority of delegates, obviously no one is chosen in the first round of voting.

After the first round, delegates are free to choose whatever candidate they wish. Hence, a delegate's second choice is critical.

Historically, some conventions have gone to multiple ballots before someone gets a majority. In other cases, when no existing candidate, after many rounds, can pull a majority (deadlocked convention), a totally new person is drafted. In this year's scenario, it could be someone like Newt Gingrich. Not saying that's it, but a possibility. Maybe you can think of others.

It can get messy.

Great News

That gives us more time, and yes the numbers can turn around.

Absolutely...

beginning to see this coming. I mean, who's got sufficient momentum to take a majority of delegates. They're all weak.

Could be a very exciting political year. And if Edwards wins in Nevada, the dems will be all screwed up too.

Let's hope for the best.

Great news for us

Be sure to volunteer to be a delegate if you can. A brokered convention would be excellent news for us. The sheeple may not realize that no other GOP candidate has a prayer against the Democrats this year, but we might have a shot at convincing delegates. And we know damn well none of OUR delegates are going to defect.
