House Republicans Circulate Plan To Oust Boehner From Speakership

Breitbart: Several conservative House Republican members are contemplating a plan to unseat Speaker John Boehner from his position on January 3, Breitbart News has exclusively learned. Staffers have compiled a detailed action plan that, if executed, could make this a reality.

The Republicans, both conservatives and more establishment members alike, are emboldened after the failure of Boehner’s fiscal cliff “Plan B” on Thursday evening. Dissatisfaction with Boehner is growing in the House Republican conference, but until now there hasn’t been a clear path forward.

Those members and staffers requested anonymity from Breitbart News at this time to prevent retaliation from Boehner similar to what happened to those four members who were purged from their powerful committee assignments a few weeks ago. Their expressed concern is that if Boehner knew who they were, his adverse reaction toward them would be much more brutal than losing committee assignments, such as a primary challenge in 2014 by a leadership-sponsored candidate.

The circulated plan is a comprehensive multi-step process.

Find a competent Speaker of the House or I'll vote for someone who can.

In the meantime, voting for unconstitutional bills is treason through failing to uphold the Constitution.

tears?

NONE from this end!

.

what they are doing is far BEYOND treasonous.
they could swing for what they've been doing- and don't think they don't know it.

"OH NO! He has a SON?" Neoconservatives and Liberals EVERYWHERE!

Rand Paul 2016

Please clarify your comment.

Who are "they"? I have my opinion on that but, I'm not sure who YOU meant.

.

They= the scoundrels, liars and cheats or The regime in our gvt. all 200,000 of them.

In Texas, many court rooms still have the old MASSIVE oak trees behind the judges bench, and you can see them through the huge plate glass windows behind the judges chair.
the "hanging trees" they used to be called, where people would swing for MUCH less then what this gvt has been doing.

As Nuremberg has taught us, "I was only following orders" is no excuse and they can ALL swing for being part of this scheme on the American People.

Rand Paul 2016

I will never forget what he did at the RNC

He is scum of the earth in my eyes.

It will be a metaphorical showdown at the OK Corral

Thanks for the heads up! CSPAN should be broadcasting it live.

PLEASE get rid of this nitwit

I'm so sick of this neocon scumbag... I dont even wanna see his face anymore... Except for when he gets thrown out on his ass, that would be priceless... Lets hope republicans do the right thing and oust this two-faced lying sack of excrement. After the way he acted at the convention, and goose stepped right in line behind the establishment, it will be a VERY happy day when this piece of shit is thrown out.

Now if we can only do something about John "the home-grown terrorist" McCain...

The problem I see

Is who will replace him? Some other neocon puppet?

Boehner == Romney

Get rid of the stench!

Poll

How may a poll be started regarding Boehner?

For example...Should Boehner switch to the Democratic Party?

Those who have power..

He will then run as minority leader.

Why doesn't Boehner just join the party of the Democrats.

May they succeed, and before 2014

and may Obama also be impeached. ( Justin Amash as Speaker of the House?! :)

Not sure about Amash

I want to like him. I think I do like him. But I can't help but feel he might not be quite good enough - can't imagine Ron Paul every saying we should just give Obama what he wants on taxes to get what we want on spending. Just seems a little too utilitarian for me.

Amash Is Solid

Justin is my congressman, and I'm every bit as proud of him as I am of Ron Paul. He's not going to roll over on command, but we have to give him flexibility to make the right decisions. He is sharp, honest, and actually cares about this country and liberty. If we say that taxes are "impossible" then what does he have left to work with? I don't want to pay more taxes. I don't think any of us do. But, if I have to pay a few percent more to get a balanced budget I think it would be worth it.

We need to cut spending by around 30% to balance the budget. Is that the smart thing to do? Yes. When was the last time you saw anyone in government (besides Ron Paul, Amash, and a few others) do the smart thing. They waste their time arguing over useless issues to avoid the elephant in the room. If a moderate (hopefully less than the "cliff") tax hike would make them pay attention to the issue, I think it's worth discussion.

If you say that taxes are not an option, then there's no middle ground. Amash isn't the type to give in on a few billion in taxes for a paltry few billion in cuts. He's a well-educated and intelligent economist looking for significant cuts. He proposed a balanced budget amendment to the constitution in his first year, and he's serious about a balanced budget. It's all bartering, though. If you don't have anything I want, I won't trade. A "give me the cuts without revenue" argument, while logical to us, leaves nothing interesting to them. After all, if being responsible and spending within our means was appetizing to them we wouldn't be here discussing this.

I trust Justin to do the right thing, but I’ll keep an eye on him anyway. It’s my job, and I don’t think he would have it any other way.

Wow, overreact much??

All I did was ask a question! Not only did I NOT say that Amash is bad, I actually made a point to say that I kind of like the guy. All I did was point out that he's willing to compromise on tax increases in exchange for spending cuts... is that, or is that not, one of the reasons most of us came to love Ron Paul? That he never ONCE voted for a tax increase??

If everyone here is willing to abandon the principles embodied by Ron Paul that brought us all here in the first place, then I don't know what we're doing at this point. No tax increase - of any kind, of any amount, of any portion of the population - is acceptable. Period. Please disagree with me on that, I'd love to see how you can justify that.

I disagree

When some people pay "no taxes" and "negative taxes" making any tax increase "impossible" is silly. How about 15% flat tax for everyone, or a 15% consumption tax? That's sure to raise taxes on some people. Hell Mitt Romney didn't even pay 15% flat. The idea is you "never" know what's going to happen, so it's best to avoid absolutes.

Compromise is not a bad thing if done right.

What are you talking about?

What are you talking about? That was a wildly incoherent and irrelevant response to my comment. The "compromise" raised taxes on the wealthy, not on those who "pay 'no taxes' and 'negative taxes'". I wasn't saying our current tax system is ideal, I was just asking how in the world we could support raising taxes on anyone! I don't care whether you made $1 or $1 million, I cannot see how it is conscionable for us to support raising your taxes.

redemption

He can still redeem himself by becoming a RP Republican and publicly apologizing to the RP campaign and supporters.

That would be the highlight of the week :)

donvino

Dream on.

OK

Thank you, Plz Boehner come to the light side

donvino

No, we don't want him.

No, we don't want him.

Huh?

Then his only option is the Democratic Party lol

donvino

From the looks

he is a "progressive"... (Not all Democrats are hideous)

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

Well ... that *would* be more honest for him
