What I make of the "chemtrails" above my houseSubmitted by dwalters on Sun, 12/23/2012 - 00:05
Today - as the planes spray an unknown chemical solution into the sky above my house - I have finally developed a reasonable hypothesis regarding the infamous "chemtrails." This is what I have surmised:
Observation - The planes only appear when there is a lack of cloud cover.
Fact - Carbon dioxide is an effective greenhouse gas. Absorption of certain wavelengths of radiation (light) cause carbon dioxide to vibrate. The induced vibration is what we recognize as temperature. As the vibration of the gas molecules increase so does the measured temperature and vice versa.
Fact - Cloud cover decreases the amount of radiation available to cause the increased vibration of the carbon dioxide.
Hypothesis - With fears of global warming in mind and the realization that carbon sequestration is a longer term solution, the government has decided that the next best thing to reducing the atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration is to reduce the amount of sunlight that reaches the surface of the earth by increasing the cloud cover thereby retarding the greenhouse effect to some degree.
There are two potential reasons not to disclose this information to the public:
1. The substances being released into the atmosphere are harmful to one's health but rationalized to be less harmful than global warming by the decision makers.
2. The religious backlash that could occur from "playing god" is unacceptable to politicians that wish to get re-elected. This is analogous to the reaction to cloning.
In reality, whatever is being released into the atmosphere is likely ending up in the ground water and/or in the air we breathe. The public has a right to know regardless of the reasons for keeping it secret.
I am a chemist and am qualified to speak about these things.
What are you spraying in the air Uncle Sam? Education is superior to maintaining ignorance.
