Wall Street Journal columnist explains on Twitter how to deport Piers Morgan

Daily Caller:

Wall Street Journal columnist James Taranto Saturday night joined in the chorus of American voices suggesting that British-born CNN host Piers Morgan could legally be deported from this country for his televised attacks on the Second Amendment, and pointed out the legal precedent that leaves Morgan vulnerable to deportation.

Morgan began the dispute when he complained on Twitter Saturday about a petition on the White House’s “We the People” Web page that asks the government to deport him.

Piers Morgan: Media Propagandist For Gun Control

Piers Morgan: Media Propagandist For Gun Control

Why Does The Media Hire English Born Citizens To Trash our Constitutional way of life?

It seems there has been an influx or 'Invasion' of English speaking reporters into our mass media lately.

People like Piers Morgan only know that in his country, where the people are disarmed, cases of mass shootings are next to impossible.

I perceive that the government controlled media hire people like Piers Morgan to effect a change in the American culture. Surely banning semi-automatic weapons or handguns will cut down the number of mass shootings, but what is not mentioned is that our founding fathers gave us the right to bear arms as a last alternative to government tyranny.

Taking away the people right to protect themselves isn't the way to curb mass shootings.

As always, treating the root cause of the killings what society needs to be working on, not the disarming of the American People.

If you begin by deporting those with whom you disagree

you will end being yourself deported by those who disagree with you. Likely to Guantanamo. Quoth dabooda.

I have nothing good to say about Piers Morgan. But as Ron Paul put it, "Government should NEVER have a right to do anything that YOU can't do." (at CPAC Feb 2011). I don't have a right to throw the obnoxious little twerp off the private property of people who are willing to have him there. Neither do you. Neither does the gang named "government."

I have yet to see Dr. Paul address this seeming inconsistency in his positions, opposing "illegal immigration" yet defending individual freedoms of association, property rights and travel.

the airwaves are not private property

they are public property. The right for private companies to use them is auctioned off with stipulations and laws that they must follow.

Where have I landed?!

Who is still on the Daily Paul?

I Don't Necessarily Agree With The Author Of This Post

I Don't Necessarily Agree With The Author Of This Post, but I must tell you that the cable networks hire these foreign born propagandists to change the culture of America, In my humble opinion..

This man has no loyalties to this country, because he is is a citizen of Great Britian, not a citizen of America. You can tell he hates what we stand for. He is a paid propagandist for those that want to destroy our constitutional rights under the pretext that if will make us safer if we see things his way..

The best way to counter this kind of person is to either avoid his TV program altogether or just understand what it is, mindless prattle masquerading as intelligent thought...Explain to others what this man is and what he represents, another trick by the media mafia to destroy every aspect of our traditional way of life...

If you want to get rid of him, just look at his ratings, thy're terrible. He will probably disappear soon enough, going out kicking and screaming all the way back to the 'Mother Country'

I entirely agree.

Morgan is utterly contemptible. But just as the Second Amendment was not written to protect the rights of deer hunters, the First Amendment was not written to protect political statements that everybody agrees with. This talk of deporting someone for his expressed views is fully as bad as what Morgan is doing.

This goes much deeper than a simple disagreement.

He is busy trying to promote the idea that I shouldn't have a natural right to defend myself. He'd be lucky to get a deportation.

Yes, he is. What's your point?

You figure that him flapping his mouth, saying evil and obnoxious things, gives YOU a right to kick him off of property that YOU do not own?

I think anyone that tries to take away my rights forfeits theirs

and potentially their lives along with it. They are welcome to spout off all they want but my rights aren't up for discussion.

Natural rights cannot be taken

The idea that one becomes an enemy because he doesn't want you to have your freedoms is the same logic that our current and prior administrations used to say that prisoners in Gitmo don't need trials. They "forfeit" their citizenship by being "against" the USA.

Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.

When one tramples on the natural rights of another

they forfeit theirs. This is how we put people in jail no? Unless you think people should be able to break a law and get away with it too?

You didn't answer my question.

I'm not questioning your right to self defense. Anyone who tries to take a gun away from you, or to limit what guns you can own, deserves whatever they get. I'm questioning YOUR attempt to limit Morgan's property rights, and his freedoms of speech and association.

Better draw some clearer lines for yourself. At what point, EXACTLY, does stupid, evil blather become an actual violation of your right of self defense? Personally, I'd say that a Congresscritter who proposes or votes for a "gun control" law has clearly crossed the line. A twerp like Morgan -- nah. He has no authority and no guts. He's "A Mouth That Roared." He has less power than YOU do to impose gun control/victim disarmament laws, because as a non-citizen he can't even vote in our elections.

I think I answered it just fine.

My lines are clear.. It becomes a violation because he's working for the liberal machine that's promoting the ideas.. better wake up.. They are all working together on this. This IS an attack.

We can discuss anything on the planet but when it comes to my rights.. there has been too much talking already. Like I said awhile back.. He'd be lucky to get deported by me.

The question you did not answer:

"You figure that him flapping his mouth, saying evil and obnoxious things, gives YOU a right to kick him off of property that YOU do not own?"

Morgan is entitled to his opinions. He's even entitled to be able to speak them aloud, to anyone who wants to listen. He is NOT entitled to force anyone to comply with his opinions. That's where you should be drawing a line. It isn't the opinion or the speaking of it that's evil -- it's using force to impose the opinion on others. Which is exactly what YOU propose to do, to Morgan. People only have rights when they agree with you?

You think you have proper context

but you don't. This has gone far beyond opinion. He's part of the machine that conspires to force us.

You know....

A few weeks ago I read that his ratings were so low it looked like he might be in trouble. We all know he's not going to get deported, and elevating him in this sense is just going to keep him in the light.

yes, deport him!

This guy is one of the snootiest elitist pricks on television, from Britain no less. What chaps my hide is he espouses what is good for America, and what American values should be when he wasn't even born here. What an awful propagandist for the government. Funny enough the way he so fervently and with bias presents the case against guns actually ends up hurting his case. Keep it up you elitist jackass. I don't think he'll last too long on his high horse.

Good then we can work on deporting those

in Congress with dual citizenships who undermine the Constitution.

jrd3820's picture

Agreed

I think working on getting those out of congress who undermine the constitution (dual citizenship or not) is way more important than working on deporting Piers Morgan.

don't get carried away

Bush once argued that the constitution does not apply to guantanamo bay on torture, indefinite detention, and trial by jury.

Today we argue that 1st amendmemt does not apply to morgan for merely not being born here, in alleged defense of 2nd amendment.

Call this petition what it really is. Hypocritical vengeance attempt by blow hard Alex Jones.

Yes, you are.

Morgan has the right to live anywhere he chooses, unless the owner of the property tells him to leave. YOU are the one trying to take away that right -- and the rights of the property owners who freely choose to do business with him.

You figure that government has "rights" to do things that "ordinary" people do not? Perhaps you believe government has a "right" to steal your money, as long as they call it "taxes?" A right to murder innocent people, as long as they call it "foreign policy?" Then of course, you'll be all right with them telling people where they can buy or rent property, as long as they call it "immigration law."

A TV host flapping his mouth

does not constitute an "attack" which would justify forcible retaliation as self-defense. A politician introducing a new victim-disarmament law, or an ATF goon trying to grab your gun -- now THAT would be another kettle of fish.

You have the right to dislike Alex Jones for whatever reasons you may have, but clearly Alex Jones isn't to blame for writing this article nor is he employed by the Wall Street Journal..

It makes no sense at all to blame Alex Jones..
