Sam Donaldson Tells Tea Partiers 'It's Not Your Country Anymore - It's Our Country'

Sam Donaldson went after the Tea Party this weekend.

During a discussion about 2012's biggest game changers on the syndicated Chris Matthews Show, Donaldson said, "The greatest slogan that I hated during this last campaign was 'We want to take back our country.' Guys, it's not your country anymore - it's our country."

It's not your county or my

It's not your county or my country or Whites or Blacks or Indians or Italians or Hispanics or Haitians or Jamaicans or Jews or Asians or Mens or Womens or Youths or Elderly individuals county IT IS OUR COUNTRY AND WELL ALL ARE AMERICANS.

I cant believe people are really up an arms about what he said. People need to stop acting like their values, race, religion, etc. some how provides them extra or exclusive ownership of a piece of dirt. The Constitution applies to everyone and all people equally. Yes a few individuals may have chipped away at it but it still reigns the LAW of the land.

Lets leave the demagoguery to the politicians.

That's right for those that choose to be Americans...

However, as soon as you choose to be something else first, you are that something else. It has been demonstrated time and again that our form of government isn't suited for a tribal society; we are fast becoming a tribal society.

The tribalism is the result

The tribalism is the result of divide and conquer, a conquering I believe consists of halves.

The first half is consolidation of resources and people.

The second half is the release of that consolidation into certain entities that, because of the first half, encircle and are tied to the "tribes," the pockets of people, the categories of people, categories borne from the forces of consolidation. This half, the second, is the unraveling of what was raveled; it's the construction of the illusion of decentralization that will run the duration of the lives people NOT the consolidators, NOT the controllers. As for the duration of the people NOT the controllers, well, how long will those lives be? If not already, it gives a new perspective to universal health care -- a system of life-death to which everyone controlled is in -- does it not?

First there is no such thing

First there is no such thing as AMERICAN values, race or religion. This is a FREE society bound by the Constitution. Being AMERICAN doesn’t mean you have to or should be forced to conform or assimilate into the leading social paradigm of the day if that was the case we would cease to be a FREE society.

Again the Constitution applies to everyone and all people equally. Yes a few individuals may have chipped away at it over time but it still reign supreme and remains the LAW of the land.

These forming tribes of which you speak are an unintended consequence of the previous and|or current actions of those in POWER. DP and websites similar to it are a prime example of a collective or tribe I doubt you want to bash DP. It's founding is an unintended consequence of the actions of those in POWER in the Republican and Democratic Party, military and agricultural industrial complex, corporate and banking cartels, etc.

So there’s no need to attack and demonize a particular collective or tribe because you don’t agree with their values, race or religion so long as these individuals whom are part of these groups which account for a percentage of the AMERICAN population as do you and I do not initiate force against others.

Maybe i'm nitpicking but the formation of the society at large is irreverent so long as we all especially the State abide by the Constitution and the rule of LAW is applied to each individual irrespective of their values, race or religion.

American Values

"...there is no such thing as AMERICAN values...."

Correct. Also, do you notice the connotation in the phrase American values?

The connotation, which is it: collectivist or individualistic?

Why not describe the United States as "the land where the individual can do what he wants"? You know, something that displays individualism, that state above the State? *signs*

Some tribes are winning

What Donaldson is implicitly referring to is his belief that some tribes have won the day. Progressive interest groups, mostly minorities, are working with people like Donaldson in the media, and with political leaders in Washington to win the culture war against traditional, America. They have usurped the constitution since 2013, and exploited race and sentimentality since the 1960's to empower themselves at the expense of everyone else. Progressivism/Marxism have become intricately and deliberately connected to cultural identity. As much as one would like to ignore this fact because it is uncomfortable, the target and chief loser in this war are white men and traditional families. This was an intentional strategy/war that has always been underground. Under Obama and Holder it is accelerating rapidly again. These guys like fighting this war and especially against an opponent that does not fight back because it has been emasculated. Donaldson is acknowledging what everyone knows but is afraid to say. He is spitting in our eye.

I say, instead of retreating why don't we own the battle and fight harder? There are many public people that are beginning to go public with their belief that we are losing America to the progressives. Let's turn the table and win.

Yes thank you

This is a very wise post.

At a more practical level, to anyone who wants to "take back their country" -- to what year do they actually want to go back to? Things have gotten worse in some ways, but things have gotten better in others. This should be a forward-thinking movement that is focused on improving America for the future, not trying to "take it back" to some foregone period.

Taking it back -- or forward?

I had an insight the other day that I thought I would share here. It is this: perhaps the central bankers will ultimately be responsible for the salvation of the human race.

Sure, it sounds just plain wrong on the face of it. However, if we weren't having our productivity and resources stolen from us, we might not have had the incentive to become more efficient, and produce engines, cars, airplanes, rockets, etc -- and thus, might not have ever gotten off the planet before the sun expands to Earth's radius in about 4 billion years.

I really like that positive thought.

We will still need to hang the traitors, though -- it's called for in our Constitution.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

I've come to the conclusion

I've come to the conclusion that this is all propaganda to make people think they are the majority when they aren't. It's like Obama's speech last week on firearms. He said repeatedly something like "the MAJORITY are in favor of gun control". He kept repeating MAJORITY. Yeah, ok (sarcasm). It's all propaganda. We haven't lost our country; not yet anyway. They are doing some really bad damage to it but we have more power than we think and they know it. And we're waking up our neighbors and friends EVERYDAY. It's time to flush the toilet!

In the interest of truth

I have to say the title is disingenuous. He added "and you're part of it" to the end of that line. The title is taking his words out of context.

I know the guy is just another NWO talking head... but if we do the same chit they do how exactly is that an improvement?

Sam Donaldson said

That this isn't my country anymore. Does that mean HE is going to go fight the next war by himself? Can I tell the draft board next time that I don't have to go because it isn't my country anymore. If it isn't my country anymore then I no longer have to pay taxes either, right? Sam, any country that is yours isn't worth having.

Perhaps

the toupe glue has seeped into his brain but truly he has always appeared to be just another anti-American media clown doing the bidding of his handlers. He obviously has no appreciation or respect for the truth, the bill of rights or the constitution otherwise he wouldn't make such stupid comments.

Toupe?
