Caucus Confusion in Nevada! Updates Posted!

Please help me post to all RP sites and meetups. I can't do it all.

Caucus location changes

The caucus for both parties will be Saturday. Sign-in for the GOP events begins at 8:30 a.m. the caucus at 9 a.m. Sign in for the Dems begins at 11 a.m. with the caucus beginning at 11:30 a.m. Times are valid at all locations. Participants are asked to show up early or on time to take part.

• In Carson City, the location has been changed to the Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Drive instead of the Nevada Room at the Governor's Mansion.

• Two GOP caucus locations have changed in Lyon County:

Silver City Republicans are to caucus at the Firehouse on High Street, and those in Fernley's precincts 32, 33 and 40 will meet at the Fernley City Justice Court building, next door to City Hall on Silver Lace Boulevard.

Editor's Note: The caucus locations found in today's special editions were correct as of press time on Friday. Some have been changed since the printing and are included above.

I'm headed to work or I'd do this but someone should be contacting Meetup Groups
and getting the CORRECT (verified) info out. Be careful though. This campaign is getting nasty. Someone could tell us, them, whomever, the wrong info on purpose be vigilant!

It might be a good idea to post corrected information on all Ron Paul sites, including the official campaign site.

With just two days until the Nevada caucuses, Republican Party officials have announced that one of the party's two Carson City caucus sites is being moved.

Republicans who have been told they meet at the Nevada Room on the Governor's Mansion grounds Saturday will instead meet at the Carson Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive.

The time remains the same with check-in at 8:30 a.m. and the caucus beginning at 9 a.m. The other GOP location at Capital Christian Church, 1600 Snyder Ave., is unchanged.

The last-minute change means roughly half the registered Republicans in Carson City were given incorrect information about where to show up to caucus in mailers sent to them by the party.

In addition, the incorrect information is contained both in the Nevada Appeal's special caucus edition published today and on the Nevada Secretary of State's Web site.

Zach Moyle, executive director of the state GOP said the county chairman had told him all the proper arrangements were made to use the Nevada Room, but Wednesday he was advised by the governor's office the necessary paperwork had not been filled out and that the room was not available to the party.

He said in one way, it works out better because the space at the Senior Center is much larger than the Nevada Room, which can only hold 250 people. He said the e-mail and phone response to the mailings sent to GOP voters indicate many more than that intend to show up Saturday morning.

Putting RP supporters at the bogus locations would be powerful, providing maps and instructions to get to the real locations.

I'm sure the Romney campaign already has this angle figured out.

What are they there for, if not to lead and direct this campaign?

Looks as though they are still experiencing difficulty. This doesn't stink - it wreaks! Nevada GOP was notified on Mon. about the problem.

I know the Dems sued after the Culinary Union endorsed Obama, to move the caucus locations out of casinos.

Seriously, who's in charge?

Should contact the Nevada Election Board to clarify.

I don't think the RNC or DNC should have control over this - they can do evil things like this to screw certain candidates.

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat pork!

Fliers with wrong polling information was sent to a neighborhood which some candidates did not want to vote. The DOJ is now investigating it. This is a well worn tactic.

We should call for an investigation. In the meantime, every news outlet in the country needs to hear this story.

This needs to turn into a scandal. It will promote blowback as well as inform people that they need to make sure they have the correct location.

I read it somewhere. Can we check with the campaign HQ? Looks like the party has got something fishy going on.

What I would do is call the original precint where you used to vote. Then call the new one. Work the phones. New voters should do the same. Normally, when the registration arrives, it show the precint location. Call it first. Tedious but physically less tiring. Unless, you will do some campaigning while walking around. This has to be done now.
