DC Police respond to my request, as a CHL holder in two states, to carry high capacity magazines in their jurisdiction.

DC Police refused to respond to my specific questions regarding whether they would arrest me for carrying concealed weapons and / or high capacity magazines in their jurisdiction.

At least I have been formally trained (multiple times) and licensed to handle such weapons whereas David Gregory apparently only knows how to wave these dangerous weapons around in the air without regard for anyone's safety, probably completely unaware of how they work or the dangers of leaving them lying around for other idiots (at NBC) to find and violate the law also.

Here is the standard response that I received from their police department. Clearly they are incompetent to know what a gun magazine looks like and / or they do not intend to enforce the law equally giving preference to those of us who have actually been trained and licensed in the use of such weapons and components...

The Metropolitan Police Department is in receipt of your e-mail regarding the David Gregory segment on "Meet the Press." MPD has received numerous e-mails informing us of the segment. NBC contacted MPD inquiring if they could utilize a high capacity magazine for their segment. NBC was informed that possession of a high capacity magazine is not permissible and their request was denied. This matter is currently being investigated. Thank you for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention.
