Huckleberry's at it again!
Pasted below is a copy of an email I received as a delegate for Ron Paul in Louisiana. Especially interesting is the part about God having a preference in the election. My personal belief is that God does not have a preference in such matters, that would violate free will. However, if we will to live in a peaceful world of friendship and understanding then Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who stands for those things. This email reminds me why we need to educate the evangelicals and others who are being severely misled by these wolves in sheeps clothing.
Hello Everyone.
Sorry to bother you all this one time with this very short email.
Just wanted to let everyone know who received an email from wagacy@aol.com with an invitation to a party.
IT IS NOT A PARTY PUT ON BY THE LOUISIANA REPUBLICAN PARTY.
DON'T BE FOOLED OR CONFUSED BY SLICK STRATEGIES.
It is sponsored by Presidential Candidate John McCain. I'm sure Senator McCain is a good man. I will not say anything bad about him. This is not my intent. If you decide to go, be prepared to hear the sales pitch. Just warning you ahead of time.
Just be cautious because I'm sure you will be called, emailed and so forth by every campaign headquarter official trying to "wine and dine you for your vote" to vote for their presidential candidate. Don't let a candidate whoo you and fill your belly full of delicacies to win your support. I think you all have better character and common sense to discern this. I would surely hope so. READ ON.
In reality, the best candidate should be able to do 2 things:
1) He should know about all the issues our country faces and have a strategic plan to resolve those issues for the best interests of each citizen, and
2) He must be able lead our country from Godly principles he has come to know and live by himself. He must have a proven track record of helping others with those Godly principles. I wouldn't trust a man to lead our country who doesn't regularly spend time humbly before God.
Ask God who this man is that you should vote for. Then vote for and support the one who He tells you to vote for. Don't disobey. You'll be glad you obeyed His voice.
If you want to go to the McCain party, that is up to you. You can enjoy a treat on McCain's financial backers whether you support Sen. McCain or not. Or, you can do whatever you frankly want to. I hope you enjoy your evening after the vote. I will. And it won't be at the McCain party.
Thank you for reading this email.
