Question about species becoming extinct.

I am at a loss and seek opinions. Sanctity of Life has prompted this question.

I believe that individuals should donate to causes they believe in, but not donate to ones they don't believe in.

I don't want to pay 'taxes' to nation build overseas, I feel that nations should take a stand and stand on their own, plus I know that my frn's are squandered to those in power.

I do not want to pay taxes/fees to pay for birth control. If you need/want it, buy it on your own.

I DO choose to donate for causes of Liberty. Sometimes I DO want to donate time/money to my local church bazaar, or to a family facing life or death emergencies.

But what about endangered species around the globe? There are poachers who can't be controlled, and there are areas where there are no laws period. Humans rip apart forests, polute waters for their own gratification/profit. Some may choose to donate to protect endangered species, but many may choose not to. Should species on the brink of extinction simply parish because I or you may or may not choose to donate and/or pay taxes?

So I ask, what is your opinion? Who takes care of species facing extinction?

Abject Failure

Good stewards of the earth we are all suppose to be. While there are some that do the work of 1000's of others to make a this a reality. The overwhelming majority are too fixated on other pursuits. The point is to maintain and comprehend the notion of a sense of connection to the land as well. Do people want their kids to grow up and not be able to see any bloody wild animals? Apart from the zoos and ....freshman :P ?

The Asians are notorious for this kind of neglect of species apart from their Pandas. ie. There was a law in China for eating a panda -Death penalty. And in return they give us the asian carp. :(

I agree, some may think it is no big deal...it is not me. What a fascinating argument made by a RP supporter. RP a Christian medical doctor, who is a strong advocate for life.

Definitely measures on a local level everywhere should be taken to counter the slash and grab mentality of resource mongers. Poaching is a grave sin and those convicted should face the harshest of penalties. Look at all that buffalo killing for example...what the 'f' was that all about? To feel manly? lol

Moreover, these stupid biologists imo are also contributing to the problem. Animals can and have managed themselves. Since humans are not animals in the true sense of the word, they should butt out the business of animals.

I am totally in favor of setting aside public lands for animals on a local level. Everyone has seen the detriments of suburban expansion on the local wildlife and you can't even go anywhere without driving.

Bring home the troops and give some money for local wildlife preserves. We do share the planet. Remember sharing?

Well.....

Ya had an excellent write, up to the part about "endangered species...."

The part I liked is, "I don't want to pay taxes". That is, at least NOT to someone who can print all the money they want anyway.

See they don't really need our money. They just need to take ours from us....

....(dot, dot, dot means, think about it).....

Problem Is

we don't know if they use the money the way we intend. Societies now are raised to "consume" in the name of the all mighty dollar. Please check out "The Cob Cottage Company" If everyone listened to Ianto it would be a wonderful world.

skippy

Who takes care of species facing extinction?

Who takes care of species facing extinction?

Any free individual who cares to donate time or money to the cause.

I'm not going to argue specific points made in the comments below but I inherently feel a sense of stewardship over the natural world hence I am very active in this area.

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

Very exaggerated problem

NWO people like this subject. A global problem needs global solutions, etc.

Here is a sober review of the problem:

-
Very few continental birds or mammals are recorded as having gone extinct, and none have gone extinct from habitat reduction alone.
-
Of the 4,428 known mammal species (Red List 2004) living in Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America, and Antarctica, only three mammals have gone extinct in the last 500 years.

America Gone Wild

The good news: Wildlife populations in the U.S. have experienced an astonishing resurgence. The bad news: All those animals are now our neighbors.

Support peaceful and voluntary solutions

for causes that you care about. If there are no organizations working for a peaceful and voluntary solution, start one yourself, if you feel strongly enough about it!

if government is responsible for those areas why don't you ask

the government? instead of trying to pin this on the rest of us, private individuals that operate on private lands

Animals are hunted to extinction and forests are polluted because they are unowned, "public" property.

What saved the buffalo? Domestication and private ownership.

Why are the rain forests being raped? Governments provide limited-time logging contracts. Unowned land is always misused.

When individuals or companies of people own a plot of land, it is in their best interest to take care of it.

By the way, it's Steve, in case you were wondering how I knew your name.

I look forward to your reply, but only after you watch the recommended video.

As John Stossel has suggested

the best way to prevent endangered species from going extinct is to take them off the endangered species list and let people own them. The reason we are overflowing with cats, dogs, and other common animals, is that people can own them.

I'd like to own a koala, and I'm sure many other people would, too, but the Australian government restricts ownership by special permit to wildlife caretakers and scientists. How stupid is that? The world would be awash in cuddly koalas if people could own them.

Ron Paul - Honorary Founding Father

I get the idea. However,

I get the idea. However, removing endangered species from their natural habitat to turn them into property doesn't seem like the best solution, in my opinion. "Owning" these creatures could also mean establishing private nature preserves to protect them. Even this solution I fear may be far too costly for most private owners, even most private foundations.

Never heard of him, but I

Never heard of him, but I like his business sense.

I don't blame humans

Least we forget the dinosaurs; extinction is part of evolution.

Corporations and government like to blame people, because then they can punish people. But it's not people, and what I mean by that is that it is not the 99%, it's corporations and government contracts that fail people, in the name of UN Agenda 21: Sustainable Development. "Save the planet, get rid of the people".

It's like Carlin said, "Save your ass".

Ask the guy killed by an earthquake, tsunami, cat 5 hurricane, fires..least we forget those animals in those environments, the planet and life will evolve, with or without us.

Meanwhile, our local news is that the CA coastline is now a National Park.. they have given us something, they are sure to take away.

Enjoy.. strive to be happy and enjoy life, it's too short.

Extinction is part of evolution

Even if a person believes in evolution, this comment is ridiculous imo. ie. If a person goes blind, how is this helping this evolution?
How did the death of dionosaurs help humans to evolve? The humanoids if there were any at the time obviously adapted and got slower, smaller, weaker lol

How can there be this supposed evolution without life?

ie. There are about 264 species of monkeys today and perhaps there were 500 before. How is this helping evolutionary theory by taking all this other material out of the gene pool?

There will less and less genetic material to draw from.

If a person goes blind

they develope their 6Th sense.

out with the old, in with the new.. that's how it works.

No such thing

There is no such thing as evolution.

No King but Jesus, no President but Ron Paul

That is highly illogical.

That is highly illogical.

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

Sure there is

in theory.

'in theory'

true that

There is much evidence for micro-evolution, almost none for macro-evolution.

Only in the fantasy religion of evolutionism

.

No King but Jesus, no President but Ron Paul

But not the Bible

Evolution may be compatible with the Catholic church, but not with scripture. Or science.

No King but Jesus, no President but Ron Paul

Try the Holy Bible

KJV 66 books
HB 73 books plus we have the Catechism.

Thanks for the link. Anthropologists reject the obvious because it doesn't fit their preconceived theories. The biological evidence is clear, humans are a water mammal, not an ape.

I'm not trying to support evolution nor creationism. I'm just pointing out that Anthropologists support any evidence that fits their theory, then teach it as fact, but then they reject any evidence that does not. I guess I can't blame them, nothing destroys a perfectly good theory like scientific facts do.

It's not my intent to sound harsh

but what do you think is going to last forever?

Look at the polar bear hoax. There have never been large numbers of polar bears roaming the tundra/arctic. There are probably more polar bears now than there ever were and who knows the negative consequences that that will bring on... polar bears moving into townships seeking food? More human deaths by polar bears?

I do understand your concerns, but most of the 'endangered species' aren't endangered at all and it's just a huge propaganda push by the UN (as was noted WWF is a UN front) for money and to get its Agenda 21 'wildlands project' implemented.
http://resist21.com/agenda-21/15-2/

This is a world-wide effort by the UN and is called different things in different countries. The entire intent behind it is to force people into small 'human zoos' aka 'activity centers' or many other names so the elites will have their playgrounds.
