Official Draft: Ron Paul For Speaker

THERE IS NO METRIC, that warrants another Speakership Term for either John Boehner or Nancy Pelosi

The Constitution does NOT require the Speaker of the House of Representatives to be a member of Congress.

Perhaps IT'S TIME for a respected Statesman who isn't worried about "The next election" to guide legislation, especially when the current leadership on both sides is inept to solve America's problems.

All a Member of the House has to do is request a blind vote on the first business of the 113th Congress.

Email your member of Congress, Democrat, Republican, or otherwise to vote for RON PAUL for Speaker on Every ballot, until a decision is made.

RP already has stuff planned

RP already has stuff planned for 2013 and has already said why he doesn't want to spend more time in Washington. That hasn't changed. Reading through papers all day really wears a person down when they get old and their vision starts failing them.

Worth the Price of Admission

If John Crybaby lost the first round vote to a man who isnt even in the congress, Oh that would be a HUGE blow to the status quo. Its like When John Ashcroft lost the 2000 Senate Election to a dead guy.

Only Ron Paul isn't dead and neither is the movement. Even if he eventually won ton the 3rd ballot he would know he was a dog on a short leash.

Nope.

In order to be Speaker of the House, you need to be a member of the House of Representatives. Dr. Paul is retiring at the end of the current session. The election for Speaker will occur at the start of the new session. So, Dr. Paul is not eligible and to advocate for him being placed in the position is to take a completely unconstitutional position.

I'd love for the Speaker of the House to be someone other than Rep. Boehner, however. Especially if that person was liberty-minded.

Show me when it has happened,

Show me when it has happened, and if you can't, stick that mike where the sun doesn't shine. It doesn't happen, because by tradition, you have to be a member of the House.

Oh, its never happened before

Me and my buddy Swann just pointed out that it, Constitutionally speaking, can happen.

Sorry about the mike drop, it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Yeah, right, in your dreams.. sweet dreams

I'm not meaning to knock your dream, it's a beautiful dream, not quite as beautiful as RP for pres.. but your heart is in the right place.. and just to imagine,.. is we were occupting the GOP in majority,, well, then maybe we could make it all happen, eh?

There's some irony, for in our effort to restore the republic, one of the issues is government looks to precident more than the constitution..

My hope for America is that we can restore the republic from precident and return to the constitution and bill of rights.

I haven't heard that before...

... where is that in law? I have heard many people say that you do not have to be a member of the House but do not know which side is correct.

Technically you don't have to

Technically you don't have to be a member. I would implore you to find me an example of when a non-Representative has become speaker. I can't find one in our history.

It Has Never Happened...

... but from my understanding it is not prohibited.

I Tried But...

... the 4 digit code wouldn't let me send my message to Schweikert because it is still registered under Quayle's district.

RP is probably ready to leave the Mafia

RP could probably get fired up about leading a political R3volution that would be a counterweight to the criminal enterprise that has its home office in DC but he's been working with the scumbags for so long that he likely wants to wipe the $hit off his shoes...

Of course I'd support whatever he got behind but contacting my reps as the OP requested has proven to be beyond pointless. They don't care about us. THEY DON'T CARE WHAT WE THINK! At least the A-holes in Florida don't...

They all reply with the same damn form letters...both Dems and Repubs...imagine that!

Ron Paul for Speaker of the House!

Congress is too busy practicing their special brand of stoopid and evil, they probably won't get the memo.

Free includes debt-free!
