The female highway patrol trooper who made headlines for pulling over and arresting a speeding cop says she fears for her life as a result of stalking and harassment from fellow police officers.

Via The Sun Sentinel:
The Florida Highway Patrol trooper at the center of firestorm after she pulled over a speeding cop at gunpoint said fellow law enforcement officers have created a "life-threatening" situation that caused her to be in such fear for her safety she has become a "hermit."

Trooper Donna "Jane" Watts' 69-page lawsuit, filed in federal court Friday, seeks more than $1 million in damages. Don't expect a lot of follow up of this one from the MSM. The cop was on his way to a private school where lots of important people were. I'm reading between the lines a bit, I'm sure. ;)

I guess our best short term answer is to wait for the looming implosion of our economy, which could result in roaming zombie hordes of unemployed government workers.

what is the problem here?

She rightfully pulled over a reckless driver. The cop caught speeding was caught red handed. Its not like he was going to get fired or anything. If her Supervisors had any sense of duty and responsibility they would get her a promotion and especially support. This could only happen in the public sector and I find this treatment of her repugnant.

Law Enforcement Has Become A Criminal Racket With Bullying

They rob tax payers and drivers issuing fines for laws that they themselves have no intention of following or enforcing on their own family members.

Police now operate like roving armed gangs, law has been replaced with intimidation via "lawful orders".

Punishment is dealt out via taser induced shock treatments upon immediate summary judgement many times resulting in heart attack and death.

It is best to appear that you have no money...

old unwashed car, plain cloths, etc. They will not even pull you over for expired registration and inspection stickers if they don't think they can get some money out of you.

I think it's more that the good cops feel bad about taking down someone who has no money. Or the bad ones don't get off on dominating a poor guy so they look for a bigger fish.

What good cops?

The only reason any one will listen is because she is a cop.

If she was a regular citizen she would not be given any notice.

Hope she wins in court, and lives long enough to collect.

She wins in court...

everyone else pays.
