Another Reason to Be Glad Romney Lost

Dare we even imagine where we'd be on the gun-control front if Romney had won the presidency?

Those of us on this blog know there's no difference between Romney and Obama. In politics, perception is everything.

Republican presidents often deal more damage than Democrats. Romney signed a semiautomatic weapons ban into law while he was Governor of Massachusetts. If he were now president-elect, do you think the House Republicans would be opposing any weapons ban that he might have in the works? Or do you think they'd be falling all over themselves to sign onto it, given that it came from a "conservative," law-and-order Republican?

With Obama back in for another four years, at least we have a chance of defeating Feinstein's bill - if for no reason other than petty partisan bickering. Write or fax your congressman and give him some rational arguments for not voting to eviscerate the Second Amendment.

Thanks, but I was already full on the glad he lost.

No more reasons needed here, but thanks for the post for some who weren't quite sure.

Those clowns that supported him during the primary?

They are already caving in.

his supporters have been SILENT in my world--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

You are exactly right.

Obama is better for liberty than any challenger would have been.

Because liberty is the child of tyranny we're better off with Obama. Romney would have been eligible for reelection in 4 years which would have forced him to slow down the march to tyranny, delaying the inevitable and buying 4 more years time for the acclimation of the general public.

However, Obama is free now to get on the fast-track to the 'clamp-down', which will fail, ushering in what Gerald Celente called a New American Renaissance.

The sooner this happens the better. Obama, please keep doing what you're doing.

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

"Obama, please keep doing what you're doing."

Chris, I understand where you are coming from. Please keep up the good fight.

Just to get it off of my chest, I don't like that phrase at all. PRESSURE from all of us and more should be to restrain him from doing what he and other establishment statists are doing.

How about with a qualifying addendum...

...keep doing what you're doing, and we'll keep doing what we're doing.

(kinda sounds like libertarianism)

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

"...keep doing what you're doing, and we'll keep doing what we're doing."

I am sensing strong dis-unison the past week or so. It seems that I am all of a sudden, and out of nowhere, becoming a tremendous thorn in this movement, but do not understand how or why. Though I could be wrong. Is there talk behind closed doors, or perhaps in chat rooms?

Please enlighten me to the sudden change, if there is one.

Aside from this being the most stressful week of the year

Sometimes I think that a lot of so-called 'troll' comments on forums are actually just average, confused, and uninformed Americans. It's called ATS - Accidental Troll Symptom. And sometimes you see comments that are 90% on and then slip back into a fallback position that when all else fails, they should force their government to pass a new law limiting the power of that same government. I think a lot of these are young, well-meaning people who don't have the whole story yet and still think their government is good, always has been good, and is merely a little misguided.

As for chatter on chat rooms, this is the only online conversational forum I participate in on the internet, other than a rare comment on youtube, a news story, or my blog www.ipunchedoutjesseventura.wordpress.com.

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

I observe the same things.

I try to take some of it with a grain of salt. Many times I refrain from posting to let things play out, unless something really bothers me.

But you still did not address your comment to me:

"...keep doing what you're doing, and we'll keep doing what we're doing."

The last thing that I want to do is burden anybody with my ideas and methods if they are opposed. I will defend myself and my actions, but if I am in your and everybodys way, I will drop out and leave you guys alone, with no hard feelings.

I addressed it to Obama, not you.

(Obama), "...keep doing what you're doing, and we'll keep doing what we're doing."

I meant Obama/the system should keep doing what it is doing by doing more silly, senseless, stupid, stifling, stultifying things, and we should keep learning and sharing.

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

slap me big time upside the head, lol. Jeezus and I'm thinking it was directed at me!

Thanks for clearing that up, Chris :-)

Don't worry. Like my uncle used to say...

"You're not paranoid if everyone really IS out to get you."

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

No Kidding

Obama's days as president are numbered, anyway.

Now, how can we oust Feinstein?

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/
