The Mayans Were Right. The Poles Are Shifting.

The Mayans never got around to inventing wheeled vehicles because they were too busy focusing on the important things in life like society and human behavior. Because they studied the cycles, or circles, of life, they knew very well that the cycle of Liberty, Decadence, Tyranny never stopped repeating. So it wasn't very hard for them to predict that giant upheavals in the power structure would occur periodically, and that tyranny would have to increase in kind if it was to survive, perhaps explaining why they did such fearful things as human sacrifice.
A big clue to the fact that they weren't necessarily predicting a single day on which a massive shift would occur is the date itself, December 21. This happens to be the date of the winter solstice every year which the Mayans certainly knew and could easily project out for millennia. It's the day that the earth is closest to the sun. It's not just one of 4 high days of the year for sun worshippers, it's the highest day. So the odds that this date would also turn out to be the date of the big 'End of Age' day is one in 365 - a fairly unlikely occurrence if it was just a date the universe picked at random, which they could claim to have discovered by other means.
No, it's not a very good date to use at all if your trying to sell yourselves as prophets. Too unlikely. Too big of a coincidence.
What I believe the Mayans predicted, and quite accurately, is a shift in human consciousness that would take place over a brief period, with the solstice being a potential focal point for this shift either in actuality or at the least symbolically.
In honor of the philosophical leader of the current worldwide intellectual revolution I hereby dub 2013 to be the year of the Mayan Paul Shift.

I felt it start in 2010.
Could have been my own personal experiences at the time when I really started to work on my spirituality.
I agree about the shift in consciousness. The fear mongering around 2012 was just that. If people are in fear, they are in lower energetic frequencies and will not be sensitive enough to feel these subtle changes. But you don't even have to feel them to see them taking shape all over the world, not just North America. There is indeed a shift already underway. Look at the "revelations" coming to light. Corrupted governments, greedy bankers, sickness-perpetuating "health" industry, GMOs, Fluoride poisoning, the police state, drones, suppression of information and technology, "Middle-man to God" religions, Military Industrial Complex, Status quo Corporate Media, etc., etc., and NONE of those are Conspiracy Theories. They're really out in the open now.
The internet has been around for almost 20 years, yet it's only now that we are seeing its true impact on global consciousness. Not quite sure what is causing it. Maybe we'll never know for sure but it IS happening.
