I'm fed up with business as usual in DC. I will step it up with phone calls and emails from work and home to harass them stinking, lying politicians into following the constitution.

Downsize DC Can help you with keeping your....
wonderful resolution! (here's the link)

For anyone with not quite enough ambition to do the same, subscribe to www.DownsizeDC.org 's news, and use their "Educate the Powerful" system to send them reminders on issues. It's pretty easy.

Why we join the GOP, eh?
Not because we love the GOP (yet), but because enough and enough and it's time to hold the elected to the loyalty oaths they take to the constitution.
Ron Paul is a genius.

Read a psychology
book or two, you will have a harder time changing a persons feelings, attitude, reasoning etc, by harassment or belittlement. It just won't work, and will probably backfire.

Harrassing is one thing
Getting people to Adopt Liberty is another.
I joined the Libertarian Party after the GOP Convention for one main reason "I do not believe in or advocate the initiation of force as a means of achieving political or social goals." Oath to join Libertarian Party.
The Republicans, whom I was a member for 24 years, do not beleive in or adhere to noncoercive means of political or social change. If you force your beleifs or understandings upon others, then a constant force is required to maintian that control. Neither Liberty or Free Will are present.
If, rather, you persuade others to Adopt your beleifs and understandings, then no force is required during the Adoption and none is needed to maintain that cohesion.
Governments Just Powers come from Consent, its Unjust Power comes from Coercion or Force.

for politicians you should
for politicians you should harass. they want to get reelected.
Harass vs. Belittle....I Believe I Choose The Verb Harass
ha·rass
/həˈras/
Verb
Subject to aggressive pressure or intimidation.
Make repeated small-scale attacks on (an enemy).
Synonyms
trouble - bother - annoy - pester - plague - worry
be·lit·tle
/biˈlitl/
Verb
Make (someone or something) seem unimportant: "this is not to belittle his role".
Synonyms
depreciate - disparage - minimize - lessen
Your Enthusiasm is Good,
Your enthusiasm is good, and I wouldn't want to help diminish that.
If you can find a way to not repel the people you hope to influence, that would be best.
However, aggressive intimidation sounds like bullying to me.
The synonyms for Harass don't sound like anything anyone would want to deal with either.
If you can aggressively pursue with a non-repelling action, then maybe you can make a significant difference.
If you choose ugly behavior, you might achieve the opposite of what you are shooting for.
Also keep in mind, forceful individuals are often used as excuses to institutionalize diminished rights and such.
..just my 2 (or three) cents.

Then, FreedomIA,
what do you suggest that we do to make our reps responsive to our wish for them to follow the Constitution???
Find a rope?
.
I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.
Since our reps
represent the people who voted them in office, the best thing one can do is get those who vote for reps/sen who trample the constitution to understand the constitution and show them how they are voting for their own slaughter (metaphorically speaking.) Once enough people have read and comprehended the constitution, started to ask themselves question, started researching and finding answers to those questions, and finally connected all the dots, perhaps they will start to vote for constitutional reps and senators.
Once the reps/sen see that they will not be re-elected if they keep desecrating the constitution, perhaps they will start to abide by it? Change does not start in DC, it starts in the minds of the voters.
