No Ammo Any Where Around Me In South Carolina! Sold Out

My friend called me and told me there wasnt any ammo at Acadamy and Wal-Mart in Spartanburg. I thought he was joking. I was in Gaffney at the time eating at Applebees and I told my wife when we are done lets go across the street to the Gaffney Wal-Mart and see. We went and they had NONE. Then I was really curious and decided to go to the Wal-Mart in Boiling Springs, SOLD OUT! I just got back but before I did I stopped at the Wal-Mart on the other side of Spartanburg (Hillcrest) and I bought the last 4 boxes of 12 guage shells. Something is going on and I dont like it!

Bass Pro in Springfield, MO

is the land of plenty as of this past Monday.

I dont know why people are

I dont know why people are having so much trouble finding ammo and guns, heres a suggestion...dont buy it from walmart or any other STORE for that matter. Go to a GUN SHOW. Im surrounded by guns and ammo theres guns shows like every weekend and they are always full with people trying to practically give away guns and ammo.

How do you find Gun Shows?

I am in Washington State.

local newspaper posts them

local newspaper posts them often, and if you go to a gun show they normally have flyers around with more gun show dates too

Order online. You'll find it. I have many rounds on the way right now.

Don't waste ammo,

Same in TX

When I went to the big box retailer near me they said to me that the problem of restocking was compounded right now because they are in inventory season for closing out their FY numbers.

No 9mm, .357, .22L etc.

Well, have any of you seen a restocking of ammo?

Went to wallyworld today and guess what....No 9mm, 380, 223, or 38. Only had a few 40 and 45 cal at $38 at the cheapest!

Then when paying for my 40 cal, the transaction was denied with my BofA visa, had to use my other card.

Asked the area manager and he told me the get small amounts of ammo in and they are gone within the hour. He told me that Winchester ammo has no stock available for at least a few months.

This is not a good sign!

They ARE still out!

you know it just occured to me

Of course they haven't restocked. They always have to empty their inventory before the end of the year for tax reasons, right?

So if in a week they are still not restocked then you ought to get concerned.

thank goodness

That same mentality doesn't apply to beer.

Couple this with the thread from the cop in NC, and I would say

you Carolinians need to keep your powder dry.
I know that whatever goes down will go down for me, too. But I've got to tell you, thinking about them coming in to Idaho and trying to take away the guns... it is almost funny. Around here, "Shoot, shovel and shut up" is an election winning campaign slogan.

For access.

Bass Pro Shop

in northern Illinois sold out of 9mm. Called Gander Mountain in southern Wisconsin before I drove there. No problem, well stocked. Even had ammo boxes with 750 rounds.

Here in N.E. Ohio

The local Walmart only has 3 guns in their cases - 2 junior 410's and 1- 22 single shot

no hand gun ammo - shot gun shells are still available

Can anyone rec a good reloader for shot gun shells and bullets?

look up dillon reloaders. I

look up dillon reloaders. I have used them and they are the best.

Dillon progressives are the best in their category imo.

Just curious, is it all ammo

Just curious, is it all ammo, or just the 9mm and .40 that the DHS bought up???

A friend told me a while back that most ammo manufacturers have contracts with the government. those contracts say Gov comes first if an order is placed. So, DHS ordering millions of rounds essentially shuts down ammo supply to us for years while they struggle to fill the order.

Now that's using our own money to dis-arm us.

Went to Academy in Spartanburg

right before Christmas...couldn't get to the area where the guns were being sold...too crowded.

Thought it was due to the holiday...apparently not.

The Government has been stockpiling

millions of rounds of ammo. Don't think they buy it from Walmart though.

I just cant believe it

very strange!

ells me that there are a few

ells me that there are a few people who see what is coming. I just hope that no one will turn in their firearms when BO signs that executive order. No way they can put 100 million of us in prison.
