Assault weapons...banned!

'The media and the anti-gunners are trying to tell Americans that "assault weapons" need to be banned for public safety. The problem is, assault rifles were banned in 1986. What they want to ban now are semi-automatic sporting firearms. The firearms they want to ban account for less than 1% of the firearms used in crime. We need to stop this mindless attack on our Constitutional rights.'

Great video clip that breaks it down: Assault Rifle vs. Sporting Rifle

The Evil Plan

Step 1: Ban something, anything

Step 2: Create another atrocity and blame in on something else you can ban.

Step 3. Ban Something else

Step 4: Repeat steps 1 -3 until desired result is reached.

BTW: The media keeps saying the assault bans were lifted

but there are many "assault" laws...some were lifted, most were not.

As the OP said, automatic weapons are still banned...so they are now defining semi-auto's and long-range rifles as "assault weapons".

BTW: Arnold was the first Governor banned long-range armor piercing rifles. He led the weapon-banning movement. Now he wants to go back to making movies with all sorts of banned weapons. That's hypocritical.

I really loved what Arnold did with the first half of his life...but his political aspirations caused him to make very bad decisions. So bad it may have undid most of what he did in the first half

Regarding Arnold...

Banning Guns will NEVER work in Amerika

First and foremost I can't imagine large groups of law abiding citizens turning in their weapons just because of an unconstitutional government edict.

Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. 137 (1803) This is one of the leading cases in the history of the U.S. The opinion of the court was “Anything that is in conflict is null and void of law; Clearly for a secondary law to come in conflict with the supreme law was illogical; for certainly the supreme law would prevail over any other law, and certainly our forefathers had intended that the supreme law would be the basis for all laws, and for any law to come in conflict would be null and void of law. It would bear no power to enforce, it would bear no obligation to obey, it would purport to settle as though it had never existed, for unconstitutionality would date from the enactment of such a law, not from the date so branded by a court of law. No courts are bound to uphold it, and no citizens are bound to obey it. It operates as a mere nullity or a fiction of law, which means it doesn't exist in law.”

Second, just like drugs and EVERYTHING else that is made illegal, the demand for the product typically INCREASES after a ban. Prices will rise and people will have to associate with criminals in order to meet their demand, but if you look at the glass as half full, weapons that you get from the black market will have serial numbers filed off and you will not have to register them and be put into a database so the government won't know you even own it.

Educating yourself about your constitutional rights and learning how to deal with the enforcers who will come at you with Civil Statutes and Criminal Law will be invaluable.

Watch The music video below and Tell me Americans will hand over their guns. The ones who do would only be a burden to the rest of us anyway. Live Free or Die!

Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. 137 (1803)

Yes, that is correct. This needs to reach the masses. If you attend gun shows, gun and sporting shops, ranges, print and distribute. There is power in numbers.

But here is more information that needs to be considered:

Patriot act, ndaa. Those were implemented for reasons. You may or may not get your phone call or day in court. Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. 137 (1803) will be moot.
