Constitutional law professor wants to abandon the Constitution

"A Professor of Constitutional Law at Georgetown University is calling for the United States to give up on its Constitution because he believes adherence to it is responsible for our broken government. In a bold Op-Ed that appeared in the New York Times this morning, Louis Michael Seidman, a Constitutional Scholar and former clerk for Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, wrote that he believes the United States Constitution is over-valued because it contains archaic, idiosyncratic and downright evil provisions."

under achieving constitutional scholar

At least this "constitutional scholar" didn't become president.

Maybe Sandra Fluke was one of his students at Georgetown. The Constitution does have something in it about providing Obamaphones and free birth control to single middle aged ladies doesn't it?

This is not surprising,

Professors like this guy are the ones who brainwashed the guy presiding over the country right now. He is a constitutional lawyer (was a professor allegedly) and he shares the same views as this guy.

A of C

I'm partial to the Articles of Confederation myself.

And I quote:

"Our sometimes flagrant disregard of the Constitution has not produced chaos or totalitarianism; on the contrary, it has helped us to grow and prosper."

Lets see:

Big shot academic 'constitutional scholar'. Big shot op-ed in New York Times.

Totally oblivious to:

- the largest sovereign debt in the history of the planet

- devaluation of the currency ~95% since 1913

- total Orwellian technological surveillance state approaching completion

- US involved in almost perpetual aggression and destablizing wars globally for at least 100 years

- complete capture of our government and control over all basic industries fundamental to civilization by multinational, global corporate interests

- complete undermining of mass media by intelligence agencies and global corporate interests to brainwash the public

[etc etc etc]

Sounds like hes

advocating for a Constitutional Convention rather than completely destroying the Concept of Liberty. I would Support a Constitutional Convention only problem is Who would we send? There is not a doubt in my mind that some provisions concerning elected officials need to be discussed.

Do that and kiss it all goodbye. I suggest that you study everything relating to constitutional convention, and then report back here with your findings.

hahaha Yeah

Been a while since I read up on it. Kinda of forgot about those little snags one runs into. Yeah that would be kind of a joke.

"Freedom is Popular"

What about

What about my natural God-given right to freedom of speech, right to bear arms, and right to privacy and due process?

Huh?! What kind of numbskull are you, wiseguy! Where is THAT written! You have no God-given rights. You're standing on the ground which you don't own! Now get your ass in the back of that squad car before I push my fist down your throat!
