Hey, there you are.

Happy New Year (((mdefarge)))

It has been a pleasure to share with you here this on the Liberty Path. I have been looking forward to saying Happy New Year to you and you beat me too it! Thank you for all the insights you have provided me in 2012! They are greatly appreciated!

The feeling's mutual (((bear)))

01/01/2013 - 00:23 That makes you *the* first to wish me happy new year in the NEW YEAR. (Well, the new year for me. Guess you have an hour to go?) And, it couldn't have been from a nicer person. I'm taking it as a good omen! 2012 was the year I joined the DP, and meeting you has been one of the good things to come from that. You always get me... thinking! And I love all your stories. I'm glad to have you as a friend, bear. Hope you'll continue dancing in the new year - a year I hope will be filled with good health and good cheer! http://www.dailypaul.com/265035/fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la#c...

Happy New Year to you and your family.

((((((((((((((((((bear))))))))))))))))

((((((((((((((((((((Granger))))))))))))))))))))))

I was looking forward to looking you up too! And you found me. Granger, you have been an inspiration to me this year. Thank you for your kindness. I remember our very first interaction. I was being a hardhead about the word FEAR and not once did you loose patience with me. Thank you for your kindness. You have a special place in my heart. Tell your chickens hello for me. Happy New Year Granger. Godspeed to you my dear as you sit on that GOP Committee. Thank you for your sacrifices!

No one

No one is kinder, sweeter or more understanding and patient that you (((((((((((((((((((bear))))))))))))))))))

I have three new chickens.. Bonbon and Candlelight (her name was Ashbutt, but she's such a pretty hen, I was convinced by someone special, she deserved a nicer name). they had three chicks.. Jo, Noel, and Nena.

I think "bear" would be a good name...

OK.. to celbrate NYE, next batch of chicks, bear will be one of the names in your honor.

And now about that rice pudding with pistachios and rose water.. My goodness but my mouth is watering.. yummmmmy. Ummm.

I'm ready to go to one of your church pot lucks now.. I'll bring the baklava and you can make that pudding!

I love you ((((((((((((((((bear))))))))))))))

Tears

I love you too Granger :)

I am glad you gave Ashbutt a new name lol.

Hopefully some day I will have chickens again. I think I'll name one Granger! Now I am thinking of all the people I know here on the DP. Wouldn't it be fun to have a flock of chickens and name them after DP Friends in Liberty! I am so silly.

You are not alone

There's a place for people like you and me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqhlQfXUk7w

I'm naming my next rooster "D-Paul".

Well what else?

HAPPY New Year dex and bear and all!

Free includes debt-free!

Happy New Year (((Paul_S.)))

Thank you for the wishes! I remember running into early on. I had only been on the DP 3 months or so and you helped me with some questions I had. http://www.dailypaul.com/comment/2519445 and you didn't even laugh at me...and I laugh at myself now for asking that question lol :)

Ah yes, but my answer was incomplete.

Congress promised member banks 6% profit on the paid in gold after expenses.

Earnings in access of the 6% is paid into the Treasury as a "franchise Tax."

New laws are in the making that will make it difficult or illegal to do business with any but the Federal Reserve family of companies. This is how Congress plans to raise revenues by reducing our choice of suppliers.

The IRS or FTC or other federal agencies can tax or harass the free market players with fines and court costs.

At that time I had just started considering about who benefited and how.

Reserve Members benefit from a guaranteed income.

Congress benefits from its franchise tax revenues.

We get screwed. It's not a very pretty picture.

That was a good thread. Gobs of great information and questions.

Rose water baklava and wine

While hanging out at the mothership!

I like rose water!

It makes me think of Indian Food! I always finish with rice pudding made with rose water and pistachios.

Did someone say baklava?

It is something I've never had, but very much want to try. Looking at recipes and pictures now and my mouth is watering.

We saw the post at the same time

I'm a huge baklava fan. I happen to have some phyllo sheets in my freezer, and pistashios.. the last time I made baklava, I ate the whole thing in two days.. not by myself.. I had to have help only because I didn't want to gain 10 pounds overnight.

Ooh, cool vid.

He made that look so easy. :D

I am super lucky

I live in proximity to the largest middle eastern community in America ( Dearborn MI) I take a ride down to Warren and Schaffer Ave every year to Shatilla....it is out of this world! Good people and good eats! Best Baklava ever!

Dearborn...

Home of the coolest of cool museums. Love the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village.

Something else Granger can do!

You never cease to amaze me!

It is mouth watering!

I have had it once homemade and it was so good I tried to buy some at Aldi's. Homemade was delicious. Aldi's was terrible, but looked good.

I think it's going on my 2013 ~to do~ list.

Recipe looks a little tedious, but we have a good local bakery. So I might have to pay them a visit soon.

I'll take your advice and avoid Aldi on my baklava mission. :P

Wish you the best on finding

Wish you the best on finding some of the good stuff! Looks like Granger can make it. Maybe she has some tips if it comes to making it yourself.

Worth it though

Best desert bar none
