Congress needs to raise the debt ceiling...

At our weekly morning meeting today we were joined by our Vice President of Branch Services. At the end of the meeting he discussed in real simple terms the probability of interest rates remaining low for at least another 2-3 years and the fact that we need Congress to raise the debt ceiling. I had to bite my tongue in order to not counter with, "they need to quit spending money they don't have the ability to payback or the authority to delegate to the Federal Reserve in order that they counterfeit it". We are pushing loans = debt over savings = prosperity...go figure, it's a financial institution!
