Huntsman: GOP 'Devoid of Soul,' 'Needs Strong Dose Of Libertarianism’

The Republican Party is leaderless and "devoid of a soul" but can rebuild in the wake of its election defeat if it embraces its history of supporting limited government, Jon Huntsman has said.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, the former Utah governor and leading Republican moderate said the party must accept "a strong dose of libertarianism" on social issues and allow state governments to move ahead with gay marriage.

Offering his prescription for the party's renewal, Mr Huntsman said the early stages of the Republican presidential primaries rewarded extreme conservatives rather than "long-term competitive candidates" who could effectively take on the Democrats.

Barack Obama appointed the Mandarin-speaking 52-year-old US Ambassador to China in 2009, a decision the newly-elected President hoped would keep Mr Huntsman out of this year's election.

That Smarmy Pig

He doesn't even know what Libertarianism is. He is the darling GOP guy for all the MSNBC hosts. That should tell you enough right there. Several of the MSNBC female hosts when making fun of the GOP candidates will add at the end of their sentence..."except for Jon Huntsman".

Whatever happened to the lawsuit...

To get Youtube to release the identity and ultimately charge those responsible for that disgusting viral Manchurian ad attacking Huntsman? If I recall correctly the ad was uploaded, then tweeted and forwarded to the media by Huntsman's daughter, all within minutes of each other. And that was all within days (if not hours) of Huntsman alluding to some big event about to happen, thus making him and his family the likely culprit.

LET'S TALK ABOUT THAT MR. HUNTSMAN IF YOU WISH TO DISCUSS SOMEONE OR SOMETHING 'DEVOID OF A SOUL'.

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

I still remember - The Manchurian Ad...

Huntsman... Christie??

Is someone trying to fool the Liberty Movement into endorsing one of these men? If so, give me a break.

"Devoid of soul", not unlike

"Devoid of soul", not unlike Huntsman himself...

“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.” ― Henry Ford.

Says the man who endorsed

Says the man who endorsed Romney!
