Rick Perry Betrays Texas on 'Superhighway' Deal with Spain — againSubmitted by JohnPhillipSousa on Fri, 01/04/2013 - 10:13
Now, never mind that since the inception of this mother-of-all "shovel-ready" jobs — 2005 [prior to the trans-continental pipeline from Canada to Galveston] Texans have voted it down TWO times, AND have been guaranteed by the Senate that it's DOA, none of that has even slowed Gov. Perry down. And, of course, not only is he laughing all the way to the bank, he get's to keep his job. Worse, Ron Paul is made out to be 'the kook'.
UPDATE: Call the interview a threefer. Dr. Corsi also addresses Sandy Hook and Benghazi.
A lot has been written on this boondoggle that explains the who (Spain, the SPP, Mexico, those who really benefit and those who get screwed-those who are actually paying for it and probably can't afford to use it, even if it were to go thru their back yard) the why, and the where. But the best of the articles explaining the financial dealings is still on my old computer which caught a debilitating virus.
So here's Ron Paul explaining The NAFTA Superhighway back in 2006. CNN denied the project and par for the course, they were believed, in spite of evidence to the contrary, which I quote Ron Paul:
This will require coordinated federal and state eminent domain actions on an unprecedented scale, as literally millions of people and businesses could be displaced. The loss of whole communities is almost certain, as planners cannot wind the highway around every quaint town, historic building, or senior citizen apartment for thousands of miles.
It's clear from the misguided comments that the masses are truly unaware of the consequences of these projects— the highway, the pipeline, the property owners on the border — as to what it means to the sovereignty of Texas.
