Watch it to the end...
If there is 1 thing I have learned since "waking up" its that I had been indoctrinated and propagandized into allowing irrational fears to confuse and control many areas of my life. I'm not some superman or have become so certain of everything that I have completely eliminated all my feelings of fear, but I no longer suffer from routine bouts of irrational fear. Sadly, the only time I ever get anxious anymore and/or experience some level of uncontrollable fear is when the very people who I used to think were around to "protect and serve" me...begin to follow me in my car. Or when I see a group of heavily armed members of the State "protecting" an event or public gathering.
Most of the officers where I live seem to be pretty decent individuals but they are still willing members of a gang that is the enforcement arm for a very corrupt corporate/political system. I would never dial 911 regardless of the situation I have found myself in and I no longer support their "benevolent" institutions with donations. One of the few things my parents ever taught me that has some truth to it is that you are known by who you associate with. I will not intentionally ever interact with the police or other enforcement arms for the tyrants that have taken over our country.
I have no fear of walking down a dark alley "in the bad side of town" anymore. I don't fear anyone because of race or ethnicity. I've never been happier in my life, never slept more soundly, and never been as worry free as I am right now...and my life is far from ideal. I used to have lots of money and a nice home. Now I live paycheck to paycheck and live in a very small apt. But I've never felt more free and alive. Everything always seems to work out somehow.
So the clip above was interesting, but when anyone tells me to be afraid...I tend to think that person still has some waking up to do. And anyone that uses scripture as some type of source documentation to back up their assertions...well, they lose even more credibility with me.
Danger is real. Fear is a choice.
I have had a similar path of "waking up" as well. The more I learn about myself the more I am aware of my emotions in certain situations and I now realize that they are 100% within my control. And the more I practice the control the more intuitive I become. We are taught we only posses 5 senses, yet our Emotions are our most fundamental sense. It's our instinct—the 6th sense, if you will. Everything our 5 Senses sense is interpreted emotionally. We see something, taste it, smell it, hear it or touch it, we have an emotional reaction to it.
My advice to those undergoing this wakeful awareness is to "think" with your heart first before you act. Be in a state of confidence, happiness or even Love before you do or say anything because that emotion will "charge" those words or those actions and will reflect back to you your "output".
I have seen this "attraction" in my life time and time again, positive and negative. I have even been able to make peace with things passed that I can only now understand. And the more one understands, the less there is to fear.
"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience"—Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
I just liked it because he "got me." But I agree 110% - the fear-mongering is now a form of control AND a form of marketing to us, and I do not care for it.
Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.
I thought that Shazad was finally going to out himself as Reince Priebus (which I actually believe, BTW)...
....when Obama appeared on the scene as a "rock star"....we knew "where" he came from....nowhere essentially but political Hollywood; and patriotically not even on America's radar....hell, if he would have played badminton at even an ACC school, he would have had a thread of Americana in him.

Does it not?

A difficult predilection to deal with. Music helps.
no less than 13 of her cds which I haven't listened to in as many years because they were all but depressing...fragile new talent dissolved into oblivion... Now I'll start listening again but with a different ear...because her start to her early demise is truly representative of our country as you've pointed out with this late recording...thank you from another who finds reprieve in music
Her inflections captivate the jazz musicians as they play along.
Do I care? Not at all. Maybe we should start a Billy Holiday thread because as I type, I'm listening to V2 Quintessential and my word- does it ever apply to Obama and the sad state the U.S. is in! No imagination required. [I can hear it now - some country and western fans will object-lol)
BTW - I agree. When the musicians all say the same thing about Billy and what they hear her do, they follow...I buy it too. She's the only musician I'd like to time-travel back in time to hear in those grungy old bars [besides Satchmo] because the recordings don't do her "turn-of-word" justice.
Man! am I enjoying her again! Thank you so much MT!
I share your sentiment: Billie Holiday; Louie Armstrong too.
however far back one goes, it's a treasure, the sound of truth, in all our souls - unless of course, it's government controlled.
Billy and Satchmo, among so many others, were American Grassroots in their time, way before Martin Luther King...believing in our Founding Father's American Dream. Billy, unfortunately, wasn't as strong as the rest. But perhaps her songs and her interpretations, speak for the more, than the less.

I went on my very first "Convention." Continuing medical education, don't you know.... Boy, I got an education! Saw my first cross-dresser - only about a thousand of them all prettier than me... Went to my first and last strip show... The gal who grabbed the nipples of her saggy little boobs and flapped them up and down was all I ever need to see of naked women, and when the guy came out in his thigh high fur boots, I actually felt more gay than when the woman was stripping... I don't know. It was something. My last night there, all my coworkers had gone already and I had about ten bucks left. I wandered until I found a street musician playing perfect jazz. I dropped my ten bucks in his bucket, and spent the whole night listening to him play. We never even spoke to each other, I just smiled, and he just played.
NOLA ain't for the faint of heart. I have been fortunate enough to visit and live just about anywhere I ever wanted to go. NYC, Miami, Chicago, LA.. you get the picture.
New Orleans, LA is the most interesting and cultural city in America. The art and music pours from that Mighty Mississippi. Every band... EVERY BAND wants to play there and often does. Black Keys? Seen em there. Hank III? Its usually where he kicks off his tour! Oh.. how about the scariest Haunted House in America? Mardi Gras..? JazzFest. People are dancing in every bar and club. It is an artists paradise.
I miss that city dearly.
I'm currently reading "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich". Hitler was a decorated soldier, and supported a militaristic state. Hitler had virtually no interest in economics. Hitler ruthlessly oppressed political opposition with physical beatings and murders. I don't like a lot of what is going on in Washington DC right now, but we don't (yet) have a Hitler clone in power.
We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.
-C. S. Lewis
It's funny that we are supposed to be "educated" yet you get downvoted for facts.

after your reading of 'The Rise of The Fourth Reich'.
I picked up Shirer's book after watching the film "The End of America" with Naomi Wolf. It is a good film and makes some disturbing comparisons to what is happening in the USA and what happened historically in Nazi Germany and other closed societies. I wanted to learn for myself what the history was. All that I was saying, is that Obama isn't Hitler. There are some slight analogies, but they are not nearly the same type of person and the video has facts wrong. We are making a maddening progression in a fascist direction with our government, though. I think modern day America is more like the last years of the Weimar Republic, not the Nazi dictatorship.
Let me commend you... w/o entering the fray.

It is that people love Hitler comparisons.

Not exactly funny but....true...
Hitler in 1921.
in how you can find similarities in stories and fool people into believing you're telling a different one than you are because of the common points usually emphasized in particular ones. It's a cute game and I've seen it done so impressively it would bowl you over.
I don't like seeing the game applied to the "like Hitler" argument over trivial details. There are places where that comparison does need to be made and the argument already doesn't hold the weight it should, not in every case because of a fault in the ones using it, but I would call this video an unnecessary addition to its overuse.
