What is "an illegal gun"?

This is what he's searching for. So what does he mean?

SteveMT's picture

Still relevant indeed. This mayor is also out of town a lot!

I wonder if this guy also travels with armed guards?

The absentee mayor? Cory Booker's endless travel schedule pulls him away from Newark

A Star-Ledger review of 18 months of Google alerts, news stories, blog posts, and tweets found Booker was out of state and the New York City area on at least 119 days since Jan. 1, 2011. On many of those occasions, Booker left and returned on the same day. Included in that figure are also several holidays, vacation time and 48 weekend days.

In the past 18 months, Booker was out of town on 21.7 percent of the days, according to the records reviewed. His staff argues that on many of those days, Booker didn’t spend the entire 24-hour day out of town.

Edit: Video is 3 years old I think, but still relevant.

Southern Agrarian

Wouldn't it be funny

if people just flooded their anonymous tip line by accusing everybody in the phone book of having an illegal gun? Lol.

In my opinion...

this needs to be at the top of the front page. Right now.

But Newark Mayor Cory Booker is still in office, and he's calling for more gun regulations:

NAZI

This is just like Nazi Germany getting neighbors to turn each other in. When will the children at school be encouraged by their teachers to turn in their parents. Sad very sad!

And later came

Consider the validity of this:

The NWO Hierarchy
Friday, February 25, 2005

The hierarchy is operating under what they call, "The Law of Harmony Through Conflict". It is indeed the plan to cause chaos and then bring order out of Chaos. They can't give you what you already have, so they take it away or destroy it, and then give it back under their terms....as a favor owed. http://beyondthephysical.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=200...

I see this happening right before our eyes. They don't care about gun ownership - they care about an issue that will ignite people to react.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

Federal law regulating oath of office by government officials is divided into four parts along with an executive order which further defines the law for purposes of enforcement. 5 U.S.C. 3331, provides the text of the actual oath of office members of Congress are required to take before assuming office. 5 U.S.C. 3333 requires members of Congress sign an affidavit that they have taken the oath of office required by 5 U.S.C. 3331 and have not or will not violate that oath of office during their tenure of office as defined by the third part of the law, 5 U.S.C. 7311 which explicitly makes it a federal criminal offense (and a violation of oath of office) for anyone employed in the United States Government (including members of Congress) to “advocate the overthrow of our constitutional form of government”. The fourth federal law, 18 U.S.C. 1918 provides penalties for violation of oath office described in 5 U.S.C. 7311 which include: (1) removal from office and; (2) confinement or a fine.

The definition of “advocate” is further specified in Executive Order 10450 which for the purposes of enforcement supplements 5 U.S.C. 7311. One provision of Executive Order 10450 specifies it is a violation of 5 U.S.C. 7311 for any person taking the oath of office to advocate “the alteration ... of the form of the government of the United States by unconstitutional means.” Our form of government is defined by the Constitution of the United States. It can only be “altered” by constitutional amendment. Thus, according to Executive Order 10450 (and therefore 5 U.S. 7311) any act taken by government officials who have taken the oath of office prescribed by 5 U.S.C. 3331which alters the form of government other by amendment, is a criminal violation of the 5 U.S.C. 7311.
Pull Booker's affidavit for oath of office would be first.

Here's their laws

In New Jersey, firearm owners are required to get a lifetime Firearm Purchaser card for the purchase of rifles, shotguns or handguns. To purchase a handgun, a separate permit is needed from the local police department for each handgun to be purchased and expires after 90 days. These, like the initial Firearms Identification card (FID), are provided to applicants on a shall-issue basis. They require in-depth application questioning, multiple references and background checks via the State Bureau of Identification and New Jersey State Police; however, authorities do not have discretion and must issue permits to applicants who satisfy the criteria described in the statutes. NJ law states that Firearms Identification approval and/or handgun purchase permit(s) must be issued within 30 days. Applicants are able to appeal the denial of permits.

Forget about the gun issue

Forget about the gun issue people are missing the bigger picture. Who gave this gentlemen the right to appropriate funds in this manner. Newark like many cash strapped municipalities are broke. What are you going to tell the public next year when you have to start cutting education funding or when street repair has to be put on hold oh well I had to get guns off the streets how about remove fiscal and bureaucratic barriers to entry for businesses and give parents an option for their child to pick a trade with their tax dollars instead of it going to your trash of a politicized education system in Newark. Don’t cry and whine when Newark end up like Camden, NJ under your watch with no police force. Learn how to appropriate scare funds properly and stop with the Booker for Senate propaganda.

Your a very smart man I commend you for that but like many current mayors in America especially in NJ with their fiscal problems your trying to get out before the budget blows up in your face and your forced to clean up after yourself.

DO NOT TRUST THAT MAN

DO NOT TRUST THAT MAN

I hate to break it to you...

When you went for a DRIVER LICENSE you saw a question which asked:

Are you a US citizen? [ ]Yes [ ]No

You agreed by private contract to operate in the status of a United States citizen. You traded your right to bear arms for a state granted privilege. The constitution protects your unlimited right to contract.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

It does not state:

... the right of persons operating as government franchises in the office of a United States person ....

... the right of government agents ...

... the right of United States citizens ...

... the right of citizens ...

... the right of Citizens of the United States ...

I hate to break it to all of you persons operating as government franchises ... your individual government agencies will be disarmed because they have no right to bear arms guaranteed or protected in any constitution.

Unless in law school you studied contract law....

The Difference Between Void and Voidable

This has nothing to do with urinary retention. If a contract is void, it will not be enforced by a court even if all the parties agree that it should be enforced. If a contract is voidable, it means that one of the parties has the right to make the contract void, but doesn't have to. For example, if you are tricked into signing a contract, the contract is still valid until you declare it to be void. This distinction can be very important to "third parties" (other people) who may rely on the contract.

YOU MUST DECLARE THAT YOU HAVE NOT CONTRACTED WILLINGLY, AND VOID THE CONTRACT FIRST AND FOREMOST. YOU CAN BE TRICKED INTO A CONTRACT, AND SO LONG AS YOU DO NOT REFUTE THE CONTRACT THEN YOU ARE STILL HELD TO THE TERMS.

Since it's anonymous

people can now use the state to punish anyone for anything. A SWAT raid tends to ruin your day I hear.

Maybe someone will come out with an extra strength blue pill and I can wake up in my bed tomorrow... and believe whatever I want to believe.

Under no circumstances

Under no circumstances should you take the extra strength blue pill, those things mess your day up more than a swat raid.

jrd is still here... kinda in a weird sort of way. She also just might be the happiest girl in the world because she got exactly what she wanted which was a perfect summer wandering playlist.

he doesn't bother to tell them

What IS an illegal gun. I guess we just turn everyone in and hope to get $1000???

I am so sick of Bloomburg's

I am so sick of Bloomburg's fat mouth already. The city of NY should stick their rifles up his ass!

Okay I have a serious question:

Since the "official story" of the American Revolution was that only 3% of the people actually fought in it against the British...

Now... since one could venture to say that the Libertarians and the Conservative Republicans (is there such a thing? anyway..) are the ones who actually even care about this kinda thing...

... and it would seem that there are very few around here who are even brave enough to research the law as evidenced by who votes up my law posts...

Do we even have 3% in this country who are prepared to defend the shade under their own trees... or when push comes to shove do they just lie down?

I'm shocked.

Stunned... bewildered... these BAR members will do whatever it takes and don't care who has to die if it conflicts with their plan.

Oath of office. Presumption of innocence. I object... especially to the use of the word PEOPLE!

Lends a whole new meaning

To the term, gun buy-back.

F!!!

I will say this is a scenario I hadn't really thought of. There's no way I'll turn in my guns but I hadn't really considered my neighbors turning me in. Most of them have seen me loading the truck to go to the range. I guess I'll just have to hope their fear of me outweighs $1000!

Newark, NJ is broke, so where is this money coming from?

October 02, 2012

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said his administration will order spending cuts in Newark as the state’s largest city starts its 10th month without a budget.

This year’s budget had a projected $75 million gap that was reduced to $25 million partly as a result of a tax-lien sale, fines related to red-light traffic cameras and sales of taxi medallions, according to the aid request.
