Ron Paul Hope for America?

Ron Paul is the truth. I've said it time and time again. Through his truth we all have been able to envision a society of free men and real hope for America but what about those that don't necessarily share our inclination towards independence. What hope can they see in a message of less government and abolition of the welfare state. Is it enough to just tell them that the welfare state doesn't work. Of course we can share with them the detrimental effects of the policies our government has pursued but they, those who lack the self confidence to see what freedom has to offer will likely be lulled back into complacency by promises of pudding. His message isn't resonating with these people we aren't effectively telling them what they want to hear, but the thing is, we can, and we can do it honestly.
Yesterday while a friend of mine was canvassing he came upon a voter who was angry that they were going to decrease food stamps and so he began to explain that while those programs have noble intentions they cannot be sustained and we have to come to that realization. As he told me the story it occurred to me that while that may be the truth, it doesnt sound very comforting. I suggested that next time he add another dimension to his argument.

The welfare/warfare state is killing this country. We spend billions and billions of dollars over seas. We have 720 bases in 130 countries around the world. Meanwhile our debt to China is growing enormously. We can bring our troops home, not just from Iraq but from all over the world, befriend these other countries instead of antagonizing them and spend that money helping those who have become dependent here at home. We can get rid of the income tax so that the money stays in our pockets and our communities. We won't need a welfare state because as a whole we'll have stronger communities and more prosperity through freedom. This is the real hope for America. A country guided by pride in independence not one guided by feebleness. The democrats and republicans alike will try to convince you that hope for America is the government taking your money to divvy it up and redistribute the way they see fit but they've been doing that and it hasn't worked. We will have tough times ahead no matter what but if we start now to restore the freedom, independence and pride that made this country so great, we can come out on top as we have in the past. Ron Paul is the only candidate that is willing to lead us through these trying times with honesty and experience. As Thomas Paine said "These are the times that try mens souls". It is necessary that we all search our souls and ask what is right. Will we let the vision die or will we take the first step towards justice by casting a vote for the candidate that wants to restore what is great about us all.

This is what I plan to tell them. This is my argument. This is the picture of hope we should all be painting. Get inspired and get out the vote

Your people need to know.

Your people need to know. The government spending DOMESTIC programs are those that go first, when they need to spend more on "terrorism" overseas. Look at social security..they SPENT the money that was totally collected and earmarked for us. RP one of the ONLY congressman that said NO NO NO. They need to learn more about RP, then they will trust him.

good comments!

I would add that a bureaucracy is always inefficient; the poor man's friends and neighbors know him better than any Washington DC pencil pusher ever will. If he is truly a deserving person in need, won't his personal acquaintances stand up for him and help him out, if they are relieved of their burden of supporting inefficient bureaucracies?

Cut out the inefficient middleman. That's what we're proposing.

In effect, what we do now is hire people far away to spend their time trying to find out about us what our friends and neighbors already know, in order to decide whether or not to send us back the remainder of the money we sent them. Not very smart!! Explain that, and see what happens.
