Do we support Chuck Hagel for Defense Secretary?

Lindsay Graham HATES him because he claims
Hagel is pro-Hamas and pro-Hezbollah(ya know, pro-lobbing bombs into Israel); and others don't like him because he was against the surges in Afghanistan and Iraq.....

So....what's the game plan of the White House with this former Senator? To provoke the religious right to pro-Israel activism on Fox News and talk radio?

What's Obama Up To?

I don't trust anything he does.

Democrats don't like him! Republicans don't like him! He must be "my kinda guy"!!!!!!!!!!

He's a CFR guy

Does that matter?

2 Chron 7:13-14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Most of them are CFR guys.

Hagel's no angel because he initially supported the Iraq invasion.

But later he recanted and said publically it was wrong to do pre-emptive war.

Plus the establishment GOP doesn't like the pick - even tho he is a republican.

So add those things with his remark about Israel and Hagel has 3 big feathers in his cap.

I do not think he's a Neo-Con.

YES!!! Here's a hint: ANYTHING Lyndsey Graham opposes...

...WE should support.

Hagel once stated "I am a United States Senator - not a senator from Israel."

THAT is plenty enough for me.

And Lyndsey Graham is the biggest P.O.S. on the planet - Does everyone know what that means?

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I oppose

Anything Obama wants to do...

And Lindsay Graham is a most disgusting loaf of excrement! I hope to see him some day so I can "Tell him to shut up!"...

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

A Republican Foreign

A Republican Foreign Policy
By Chuck Hagel
July/August 2004

The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, that killed nearly three thousand Americans were signposts of a new era, a turning point in our history. Terrorism is a historic and existential challenge that redefines traditional notions of security, and combating it must be at the top of the nation's agenda and therefore at the core of a Republican foreign policy. But the war on terrorism cannot be considered in isolation, without taking into account the wider crisis of governance throughout the developing world, especially in the greater Middle East.

In taking military action against al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan, President George W. Bush understood that the war on terrorism must be more than the rightful use of military force. There must be a U.S. purpose commensurate with our use of power. As President Bush told a joint session of Congress on January 29, 2002, "we have a greater objective than eliminating threats and containing resentment. We seek a just and peaceful world beyond the war on terror."

payback to Nut-n-yahoo

for publicly supporting Rmoney...and the job is basically done in the middle east...Eurasia is the next battle field.

Lesser evil

Once again, an establishment choice. Hagel was against the war in Iraq til he voted for it, same goes for the freedom killing patriot act. This is probably a planned failure so they can squeeze some other more obedient lackey in at the last minute.

If Lindsay Graham HATES him........

............he must be an Improvement!

i love this comment!!!

Lindsay is WAY OVER THE TOP in his opposition because of his pro-Israel stance!!!

You've nailed it!!!

. . . perhaps he's a better choice than Susan Rice or

Michele Flournoy, the imperial Amazon war-mongers?

He voted for patriot act, no

He voted for patriot act, no child left behind, and McCain-Feingold.
Faux liberty politician but could be worse. Makes me wonder why Obozo is nominating him.

Republicrat Nominated by a Demopublican

Put Hagel up for nomination so that a faction of the GOP will go after one of their own publicly further dividing the party.

Another group within the GOP will support Hagel. All the while the President looks bipartisan. Somewhat brilliant.

There is no risk for the President - they are members of the same RepubliCratic Party behind closed doors. The public gets theatrics as we continue to be sold out.

He endorsed the Democratic nominee for Senate in Nebraska, so this nomination appears to be a return of the favor.
