IOWA Chair AJ Spiker Supports Reince Priebus

From AJ Spiker, Iowa GOP Chairman

"As voting members of the Republican National Committee, the state of Iowa offers its support for the re-election of Reince Priebus.

Over the past year we have spoken with Reince regularly and have been impressed with his attention to detail, fundraising prowess and desire to help Iowa retain its "First in the Nation" status in the Presidential Election process.

Though Reince inherited a situation that saw the RNC in debt, donations down and confidence struggling, he turned the Party around by cutting waste, limiting overhead and restarting many of the fundraising programs that had fallen dormant.

Republicans must always hold themselves to a higher standard and this requires our generous donors to trust us to use their contributions wisely.

Reince has always been readily available to listen to our concerns, answer questions and ensure we feel comfortable with the direction of our Republican Party. We believe he has done a superb job turning around a party that was in disarray and we look forward to working with him in the future. Together we can
grow our party, engage grassroots activists and continue to promote the conservative principles of our platform.

As voting members of the RNC, the Iowa delegation supports Reince Priebus for Republican National Committee Chairman and encourages members across the country to do the same. We are excited at the possibilities the future holds and look forward to Republican success in 2013 and beyond."

Any word yet on what AJ Spiker will do??

According to Ben Swann's Full Disclosure video (linked below), Willis only needs one more endorsement, and AJ Spiker could be it.

Google is government.

He may not even know there is an alternative yet

Mark D. Willis

National Committeeman Maine Republican Party - one of our guys is running if he can satisfy the threshold requirement : http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?400429-Here-we-go!-One-of-our-own-takes-on-Reince-Priebus-for-GOP-Chairmanship

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

How could he not?

If he's not aware of the news of his own position, that in itself is troubling.

Seems like I remember that this group decide not to vote bachmann out as a delegate also.

People can say what they want but people who side with the established bullshit are enabling the RNC to continue fucking us.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

It's a tough balance...

as there aren't enough Ron Paulers to win an election, we need to be able to hold onto alliances or build alliances with outsiders.

O comon people...

...this is politics. What good would come of Spiker publicly stating his disdain for Priebus? None whatsoever. You have to be tactful, have to smile and shake hands, have to give endorsements, and perform other gestures to maintain appearances.

Relax. AJ did not make a deal or sell out. We just took over the Iowa Republican Party in an overwhelming victory (!), and you want to question the loyalties the leader of that effort? You're tripping on your own feet..

Patience people!

We won Iowa in a land slide. That's how we'll win the RNC Chair position too! It will be an irrefutable land slide. The bad news is that it's not happening this year : (

...but soon!

What does it matter if Iowa

What does it matter if Iowa or any other state comes to liberty in the RNC locally when the national committee can do what ever it wants to disqualify us from participation at the national level???

I don't understand supporting those that betray and thinking there is some higher intention within them worth preserving and supporting. This guy has taken your voice away within the party with rule changes in Tampa. What are you now expecting to happen by rewarding him with your support? Did you get those bruises by falling down the stairs,,, again???

“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.” ― Henry Ford.

Not questioning . . . just asking . . .

Reince was responsible for ramming through all of the Rule changes that are so damaging to the grassroots of our Party. I am sure A.J. realizes this. What I cannot understand is why he supports this behavior indirectly by his endorsement.

You do have to shake hands, smile and eat wet dogfood all the time in politics. Those who are remembered in this game and are respected are ones that take principled stands. I thought A.J. was one of those individuals and guess I was wrong. Politics over Principle is why our Nation and Party is in the sad shape we see today.

The nation is in bad shape...

...because libertarians are not in office in sufficient numbers, either in the government or in any major party. I would infinitely prefer AJ playing the game and keeping control of the Iowa GOP to AJ being pure and losing control of the Iowa GOP. Simple as that.

I don't think so. Ron Paul

I don't think so. Ron Paul would never compromise because "this is politics"

Ron Paul never had any political success either

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Disagree again. He helped

Disagree again. He helped ignite this entire movement, which he would not have if he had been a compromiser during his entire career.

Keyword is POLITICAL success

...educating and inspiring is very different from winning elections and passing bills in Congress. Ron Paul did lots of the former, almost none of the latter.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Ron Paul was not good at politics--winning inside the GOP; winning over political positions w/in the GOP--that's all politics. Ron Paul was more interested in govt, following the constitution--things of substance.

His fame came from his amazing consistency to following the constitution and never selling out to lobbyists.

It hurts to say it, it hurts to read it, but it is kind of true.

What a Dissapointment

I hope that the Iowa Liberty Grassroots can reach out and change his mind. Put the pressure on him and the other Committeemembers. Did A.J. cut a deal with Reince?

no deal

Spoke to AJ at the Winter RNC meeting and he said he has cut no deal with Mr. Priebus.
