Alex Jones Detained By TSA

Paul Joseph Watson | Infowars.com | January 7, 2013
Radio talk show host and ardent Homeland Security critic Alex Jones was detained by the TSA at Austin-Bergstrom airport earlier today and threatened with arrest for refusing to take his shoes off at a security checkpoint.
Traveling to New York to appear on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight, Jones had already showed his ID as he approached the metal detector. Jones and colleague Rob Dew noticed that a large number of people across all age ranges were not removing their shoes as they walked through the metal detector. The x-ray body scanners were not in use.
As soon as he approached security, Jones was addressed by a TSA screener who said, “Hello Mr. Jones,” indicating that she knew who he was, and immediately ordered him to remove his shoes.
When Jones refused, citing the fact that innumerable other people had not removed their shoes, the TSA screener claimed that only under 12′s and over 75′s were not mandated to remove footwear under TSA policy.

Well...
Warning
That link just redirected me and installed a trojan/ virus on pc at work......I'm trying to get rid of it, I might be in big trouble.
He was the first to WAKE UP.
From your comments it seems that the "cool thing" must be to malign Alex Jones.
If you all were HONEST with yourselves, you'd realize he was the FIRST to shed LIGHT on a ton of EVIL that has been going on for decades if not centuries. The first time I heard him was in the 1990s and everything he's said since then has come to pass and is now wide open and admitted.
Don't be so CHICKEN. Admit that he's contributed a TON to the waking up of America and give him a little credit!
I'm pretty sure that's Alex Jones' fault
I think you're supposed to obey the TSA. At least, I think I read that somewhere.

Congress put out a report
Congress put out a report last year in which they said the TSA was a waste of billions of taxpayers dollars and was ineffective at stopping terrorist.

Is this a bail by AJ?
The guy travels all the time. Why pick now to make a fuss about shoes? Is he bailing on the Piers interview or building up ammo?

I'm past hating Alex Jones.
I'm past hating Alex Jones. Sure he's a liar, tends to exaggerate the hell out of EVERYTHING, egotistical, in it for the money sell-out, but at the same time he does bring a lot of information to the public which otherwise wouldn't have been done. He's also woken up as many people as Ron Paul in my opinion. So yeah there's a lot to dislike, and I do, but don't ignore that good that he does as well.
Btw really looking forward to his debate with Piers Morgan. This should be interesting.
Agree completely...
and I take Alex Jones for what he is...entertainment.
TSA = Thousands Standing Around
Thousands of fat, lazy government workers getting their thrills by degrading Americans.
Orlando Airport is the WORST.
Good thing Alex Jones wasn't going through there or he'd probably be dead by now.
I would NEVER take a job like that. And if EVERYONE refused to work for RAT organizations like the TSA and the IRS they would either go away or be run privately (as in the case of airport security).
But I have the best answer of all...
How about the United States quit bombing, killing, occupying, droning, torturing and invading other countries AND quit supporting other countries who do the same thing and then we might not have to WORRY about terrorism in the FIRST damn place.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
Hmm
Alex Jones does tend to exaggerate. He probably did have some kind of a run-in with the TSA (I doubt he would make up the entire thing), but I'm not sure I trust his story 100%.

I would...

Brilliant idea.
I'm on the fence about this guy but I like this.

AJ put his all behind the RP campaign.
He's more than alright in my book.
Didn't put his money where his mouth is
Peter Schiff (who I respect way more than Jones), donated the maximum allowed by law to Ron Paul 2012. You won't find the name Alex Jones on the donor list.
I have to give Jones credit for turning a lot of people on to Ron Paul through his radio show, though.
He didn't waste his money
He didn't waste his money because he knows the system is rigged. Remember, "Ron Paul" is a message, and Alex (agree or disagree) is spreading the message very well with that money he didn't waste.

Did I waste my money when I
Did I waste my money when I donated? Did everyone else waste theirs too? Should we not donate to a good candidate because he doesn't have a chance?
A lot of people consider AJ a Wacko. Perhaps he could have donated or held fundraising for the campaign to let them handle the message.
Peter Schiff has a net worth of $70M.

Many people gave the maximal amount to Ron Paul who made far, far less than Peter, like me. If we knew what we know now, would we still have done so? Answer that question for yourself. Alex Jones knew much sooner what was going on that we only found out about later.
I have answered that question for myself.
If allowed, I would have given more.
Rigged or not, we have reached more people than ever before. I would also do it all over again, knowing that we would continue to reach others.
Good question, and thanks for asking.

I guess he just wanted to spread RP's message,

In retrospect, I would rather not have helped to line Benton's pockets either.
for those that like Alex Jones
William Cooper called Alex Jones out pretty much calling him a bitch. William Cooper predicted a lot of stuff for instance 9/11. William Cooper was assassinated by police... Alex Jones is still talking on TV do you see a difference in people that do good and people that are just fear mongering misinformants.

evidence?
I've heard Bill Cooper spread a lot of misinformation about lizard people and aliens too. They're one and the same in my book, Bill Cooper was killed for shooting a cop coming to make him pay taxes.
You shoot a cop for something like tax evasion then your a dead man, simple as that. It's his own fault he's dead in my opinion.

Simply NOT TRUE!
Bill Coopers death had NOTHING to do with shooting a cop coming to make him pay taxes.
That could be a cover story I really do not know +1
Probably shouldn't have typed that and made it public so fast.
No one will probably ever know the whole truth. The tax evasion could have been made up.
How do you think it went down

Bill Coopers death
While it is true that Bill was killed by the Apache County sheriffs department, they were not there on the tax issue. I used to listen to Bill on the shortwave, and had quite a bit of communication with him, both by phone and email up until the day before he was shot on his front porch. He was a cantankerous and short tempered man, to be sure, but the Apache County Sheriffs department bears most of the blame for trying to set up an ambush on him at 1 o'clock in the morning by posing as drunken teenagers trespassing on his property. It is a complex story, and would be tough to shorten here.
Thank you
It seems I'm being a too quick to comment troll today I apologize.
