Alex Jones Detained By TSA

Talk show host threatened with arrest for not removing shoes

Paul Joseph Watson | Infowars.com | January 7, 2013

Radio talk show host and ardent Homeland Security critic Alex Jones was detained by the TSA at Austin-Bergstrom airport earlier today and threatened with arrest for refusing to take his shoes off at a security checkpoint.

Traveling to New York to appear on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight, Jones had already showed his ID as he approached the metal detector. Jones and colleague Rob Dew noticed that a large number of people across all age ranges were not removing their shoes as they walked through the metal detector. The x-ray body scanners were not in use.

As soon as he approached security, Jones was addressed by a TSA screener who said, “Hello Mr. Jones,” indicating that she knew who he was, and immediately ordered him to remove his shoes.

When Jones refused, citing the fact that innumerable other people had not removed their shoes, the TSA screener claimed that only under 12′s and over 75′s were not mandated to remove footwear under TSA policy.

You're the one who hates Rand Paul

We both can be stupid sometimes.

I'll still be your ally, here in Tennessee.

I've got a lot to learn here.

So the only people who do good....

are assassinated by the police?

I am not a fan of Alex Jones, but I don't get the logic of saying he must be wrong because he hasn't been killed. I am quite certain that if Jones were to not pay his taxes, he would be targeted just like Cooper was.

The last time I was at the air port I saw TSA scream at an ...

Older man who looked like he was in his 80's. They told him to shut up and not to open his mouth again. I saw the fear in his eyes. Everyone just looked away as they walked by him. I asked if everything was OK and was told to move alone or I would end up missing my flight. My wife asked me to come on because she knew they would arrest me.

I still am pissed at myself for not doing more.

i did not really think is was

i did not really think is was that bad until my girlfriend told me how when she was on a trip to mexico les than a few months ago with her dad and she refused the xray scanner and so did her dad. as the two male tsa workers where walking off when the female tsa arrived to do the pat down on her he commented to his buddy, " i while pat down on her"and the both laughed. she was shocked.

We were

just traveling to Rome, and Greece, and on our way....In New York...My fiance and I "Opted Out" of the X-Ray machine and one of the punk TSA agents said "It is too bad that she opted out, I would have liked to see her naked." We heard this, and I immediately went up to the supervisor and told her what just occurred. She asked me as she pointed.."Was it him?" I said "Yes". She knew which person said this comment. She handled it right there. She took him away...and we continued on our journey. I don't know what happened....but that little TSA prick was vocalizing what they all think. It is amazing that we allow this crap.

The TSA rats stole my belt and...

...basically forced me through a Backscatter machine which I swore I'd never go through.

The bullcrap they made us go through at the Orlando airport was unbelievable.

PLUS they were rude and made disrespectful comments and "jokes" towards us poor fools going throught their line.

One of their fat agents (who isn't?) cracked what he thought was a funny joke when he told people to move aside so he could push a wheelchair through. He said "Look out, I work for the government and I can't drive too well - I tend to run over people."

Real damn funny. That just pissed me off even more.

Another one had a derogatory remark when he picked up someone's laptop, waved it in the air and said "see this thing people?...THIS is a laptop computer in case you didn't know."

Two other agents were very rude A-Holes with derogatory comments toward people as they came out of the backscatter machine.

I requested a pat-down rather than that cancer machine, but the rat agent told me it would be a very long time as they were short-handed. I would have missed my flight because I had been in line for nearly an hour prior to getting screened.

I had arrived at the airport nearly 2 hours before departure and almost was late for my flight.

To top it off I never got my belt back because the agent who took it "lost" it somehow.

It was an awful and degrading experience.

Flying SUCKS these days. Thanks TSA in Orlando.
Isn't that where they caught that thieving TSA rat a few months ago?

CAT ScrATCH FEVER

My friend and his wife returned home threw Orlando airport after thanksgiving. His wife suffered a brain injury from car accident years ago.left side of body partially paralyzed. My friend helps her walk slowly with walker. She was on a wheelchair when told by TSA she must get out of wheelchair and walk thru scanner. My friend wanted to help her into scanner but he was blocked by TSA.He was also carrying a cat crate with his wife's cat in it on board. The TSA demanded him to take cat out of box.luckily the cat was sedated before departure with a vet prescription. As his wife had difficulty trying to get threw the scanner. My friend trying to get cat out of crate he ask the TSA men to help his wife threw the scanner. They did nothing. She almost fell down.I am thinking of bringing my cat on board next time I fly threw Orlando. When the TSA tells me to let cat out.I will. my cat will climb up him like going up a tree with a dog chasing him.My cat doesn't do drugs. But she is vicious when scared. And has sharp claws and teeth.Meeeoooooow.

they will probably arrest you

they will probably arrest you for assault with a deadly cat

Not to make light of a bad situation...

What torture chamber of horrors would be complete w/o a belt from one of its victims?

My reply is not meant as humor nor jest. My condolences.

if only we had competition

if only we had competition and allowed for private, commercial air travel companies that didn't use the TSA. imagine the people wanting to fly on their planes!

jrd3820's picture

Compettition....

Such a silly word, it would solve nothing.

Except that pesky TSA of course. Now imagine, the TSA-less airlines do not have to charge baggage fees either, I would probably fly just for the sake of flying then.

jrd is still here... kinda in a weird sort of way. She also just might be the happiest girl in the world because she got exactly what she wanted which was a perfect summer wandering playlist.

of course it would. give

of course it would. give people a choice: you can either fly on the non-TSA airlines albeit minimally more risky, or you could fly on the TSA airlines for practically the same risk.

people would go the non-TSA route in droves.

jrd3820's picture

I know...

I agree, I typed my comment with sarcasm in mind, sometimes sarcasm does not show through in posts though! I absolutely agree with the idea of competition in airlines having the option to not have TSA.

Drama Queen -

and most likely a publicity stunt, for the info-egomaniac.

Nope

I'm sure it went down exactly the way he said it did.

The real issue is that it shows the incompetence of the 'intelligence' agencies and bureaucrats that singled him out for public harassment ..

Knowing (or no understanding?) that whatever happened would be taped and shown to millions of Alex Jones listeners (not to mention all of the aggregator sites that pick up his feeds)

Which is more intelligent:

1) Letting him go through without incident and full reasonable cooperation?

Thereby letting millions of people know that issues with the TSA, DHS, and other public agencies are imaginary, overinflated, and that people like Alex are stirring trouble and making problems out of nothing?

OR

2) Go out of their way to hassle him - knowing who he is and the viewpoints he represents on camera (and ON HIS WAY TO A MAINSTREAM CORPORATE NEWS NETWORK FOR AN INTERVIEW THAT SAME NIGHT!!) ...

Thereby showing the American public - in NO uncertain terms - that the federal agencies that are carrying out these programs ARE profiling journalists - that they ARE singling out people that are anti-TSA and overreaching federal bureaucracy - and that the ARE block headed neanderthals hired by the Feds to intimidate the American public.

Think hard.

Bend over

Meanwhile, people like you bend over and take it. Your ilk are called Sheeple. The Sheeple remain quiet and criticize the true patriots who stand up for EVERYBODY'S rights, and yet the Sheeple are too stupid to even appreciate it. Bow down and lick your master's boots.

YOU are the type who kill the Jew and then hide behind the German flag, excusing yourself because, "I was just doing my job."

Go away and live in your ignominious complacency.

But don't come here and dilute the message of Liberty and the spirit of patriotism because you don't have the balls to stand up to tyranny.

Excuse me while I go puke.

Overreact much?

You're creating a false dilemma.

Either one supports AJ and is a patriot, or they don't and therefore are sheep who "take it" and goes around killing Jews. It's a completely illogical conclusion.

Appealing to emotion may work for some, but others see through it quite easily.

For the record, I like AJ, but I do NOT like his "worshipers". And yeah, he IS a bit of an egomaniac. Why do you think he almost always talks over his guests?

I know, I know, I'm a sheep who kills Jews. That reminds me, would you like a beautiful lampshade I recently made? It's 100% kosher, I assure you.

This is just getting ridiculous.

I really am starting to believe AJ has some followers who have a very cult like mentality. Just in the last 2 days I have seen,
"Alex Jones is our hero!"
"He is God"
ect.

not to mention, I got 3 downvotes just for stating that he isn't MY hero.

Now if you don't like Jones, you're a Jew killer?

Major worship going on. It's not surprising his followers overreact, look at the way AJ gets them all riled up!

Alex has alot more good than negative that comes from him

Many do not like him due to certain things he has said BUT he isn't a politician or elected official so I still don't get why people try and hold him to such a high level.

He is a christian who believes in god yet talks about reptilian and other randoms that are hard for people to grasp BUT an all knowing, all powerful, invisible god that he and many here believe in ( including ron paul ) is however totally plausible?

I just don't get where the negative rants about him come from. Most of the data he releases is legit. If you don't like the 9-11 truther stuff then stop researching the truth because it will lead you that route once you do.

Why do we need to take our shoes off anywhere? This is OUR country damn it!

When the gun grab comes I can't wait to see how many will be "praying" for something/someone to do something versus people actually getting off their ass and doing things FOR THEMSELVES.

DESTROY PIERCE MORGAN tonight Alex, that commie needs to GO HOME

I don't agree with everything Alex, Ron or anyone says specifically about an all knowing god BUT there is alot of TRUTH that comes out that I can wrap my mind around that I totally agree with. As a whole though, it is independent living and independent thought that makes us unique so why try and push everyone into one belief, one political group or class.

We need to be BROAD and far reaching to make it that much harder to put us into "groups" that can be segregated and moved as they see fit.

I haven't flown in YEARS since the tsa came in. I won't take my kids through that AND I know I would end up detained once "touched" or if I saw my wife or kids touched. Not on my watch

What makes you think he is a Christian?

If it was just because he said so, that's not enough.

The local church(not a building -a people) is the missing link. Help build it now!

You obviously don't listen to him.

Yes he is. How do you know somebody's a Christian? "By their fruits ye may know them." Hear not just his testimony of Christ, but look at his works. His works testify of the greatness of his soul.

You ever heard, "Never trust a business person who volunteers that he's a Christian or minister"?

Well, I think that applies to your chosen moniker. LOL!

Yup Nazi check points are good places to avoid

Enlightened disengagement, you will do no one any good in prison best to avoid if possible these criminal submission points.

This man is God! You damn

This man is God! You damn right I said it! I don't think a lot of you people truly understand how bad we are right now, but you know what? Alex Jones does and is the greatest example of a patriot. A true American legend.

Holy *&^%

SERIOUSLY? This man is God?????

Ya you're damn right, this country needs help.

The world is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.

Calling him a patriot is one thing,

but deifying people...that never ends well.

for refusing to take off his shoes?

I mean, I am glad he did it and all, but really! Hero worship is not called for over this.

I just love Alex Jones, he's

I just love Alex Jones, he's fearless man!

but then whats next?

but then whats next? eventually you have to undress yourself and actualy they are doing that. I think what he is doing is wonderful because its the government, not the company that not only do they ask but they demand he does, adn when he doesn't he is detained against his will instead of being told to leave.
