I recently came across this video of Kitty Werthmann who recalls how Hitler came to power and the means by which he attained it. The description of his character and appeal are quite familiar today.

The Nazis we love....
Prescott Bush was a Nazi. You don't suppose he passed any of that to his son or grandsons?
Prince Philip, husband of the Queen of England was a Nazi. I mean, I am sure he still is he just keeps it on the quiet these days.
And then there is Project Paperclip so who knows which of our science and medicine heroes were Nazis before the name change?

A question about Nazis: Left or Right?
It seems there's a lot of confusion regarding the "socialist party" that they were leftists. But couldn't it have been an intentional misnaming?
To my understanding Nazis were actually totalitarian which is far right.
Anyone really know much about this?

It's a false paradigm, as there is very little difference beyond rhetoric and attitude. Both 'left' and 'right' lead to totalitarianism. There was very little difference between Hitler and Stalin when it you get to the heart of the matter; control.
