Hi, My Name Is Aly

I am a German Shorthaired Pointer. My breed is considered one of the most versatile sporting dogs whether by land or by water. I really get off on doing what I do best. There's nothing like working off leash on a cold, crisp winters day, tracking and pointing out game for my companion.

Lately, I've become saddened by all this talk over guns control. I'm here to say I can't imagine being reduced to being my family's first and only line of defense.

Don't get me wrong, I think I'm pretty good at barking out my objection to strangers within my eyesight. But I'm a heavy sleeper at times, dreaming, kicking, and snoring. I've never bit anyone and have a soft mouth (genetics). I feel very uncomfortable having to attack when my loved ones are threatened but I've come to the conclusion that I will not hide when the time comes. Dogs are readily shot for no other reason than being off leash, so I am prepared for the worst. I will pounce on any intruder dumb enough to test my will.

Let it not be said I did nothing.
