You'd be pissed if someone walked into your church naked.

So quit being a hypocrite. Rand is just choosing to respect local customs and not walk into their church naked.

Calm the f**k down.

Quite right.

If Rand had chosen to not wear the hat, they would never have allowed him into those highly controlled private areas.

So, he's a panderer.

This is news?

Rand Paul is NOT his father. Is there anyone who didn't know this?

"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it." -- Joseph Goebbels

Looks like Rand is offending the unreasonable portion of the

Liberty movement.

I love it.

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

what portion is that?

you mean the one headed by ron paul who for 30 years was what the neocons, and status quo called unreasonable?

Listen! What's that sound?

It's Rand Paul puckering up to kiss Israels "you-know-what."

In those photos of Rand

I recognize where he is, because I have been there. ALL men who go into those places are required to wear one of those little hats. The white hat is made of lightweight cardboard and is given out to tourists who want to enter the men's section of the Wailing Wall, and the adjacent tunnel that runs along the base of the Wall towards the Arab Quarter.

He HAD to wear the hat in that area. He did not wear it elsewhere in Israel. It does not signify anything.

Exactly what I was about to say...

...I had to wear one of those when I visited the wailing wall also...

Cuimhnigh orm, a Dhia, le haghaidh maith.

i had to wear one of those

i had to wear one of those too when they gave me an automatic and told me to turn the palestinians out of their homes.

What amazes me...

...is that anyone who finds fault in Rand for putting on a yarmulke in Israel can manage to operate a computer.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

The stench of antisemitism

The stench of antisemitism here is sickening but not suprising. For over 4000 years the Nations have scapegoated the Jews and kept them from their rightful place in humanity which was given by G-d Himself. Nothing has changed today.

Disregard government. Acquire liberty.

Nothing could be further from the Truth

You need to distinguish between Zionism and the Jewish people. Lots of Jews in America and Israel are fed up with Zionism.

Here is one post from that link that says it very clearly!
Meeting with orthodox Jews is not the same as meeting with Zionist Jews. Most Orthodox Jews denounce the Zionists actions

Noticed our foreign policy lately?

To whose benefit does it serve besides the MIC? Have you seen this video?:

When the USgovt. is stealing my money and serving a small group of people on the other side of the world, in my worst favorite country of the 30 I visited, I take offense to it. And I take more offense when Congress critters spends my money to go there to kiss ass so AIPAC will see they mean business.

Learn about your trick from the folks who made it up.

ecorob's picture

the stench of your ignorance outshines it!

one more time for you folks on the short bus: (Zebulon, being the driver)

i hate zionists but i love the jewish people

i hate nazis but i love the german people

i hate skin heads but i love the american people

your antisemitic LIES will get you NO WHERE here!

now, what part of that DON'T you understand?

because romper room can be reinstated if you missed that day at school!

holy christ, you are either ignorant, stupid, or a liar...which is it?

well, at least this means

well, at least this means Rand is now qualified for president.

Dumb article

Remember how upset everyone was when there were bs articles about Ron Paul wearing fake eyebrows during the primary? How about focusing on Rands voting record and not about a nonexistent toupee.
Or how about people on a site that is supposed to be about individual liberty realize there is nothing wrong about being respectful about other peoples religions and traditions? Ever here "when in Rome?"
Or how about the same people saying Rand is bowing to Israel realize that Ron Paul would be the first to say we should be friends with and talk to peoples of all faiths, nationalities and backgrounds.
The subtle anti Semitism sometimes on this site is dumfounding and sad. Jews have added much to medicine, arts, science and more. Some of you need to put on your big boy pants and grow up.

ecorob's picture

you don't REALLY want to focus on his voring record...

do you?

9/11 Truth.

Yeah I do

Other than him being wrong about voting on Iran sanctions which I understand is a big deal, what other problems do you have with his voting record? Please be specific.

I went to my Jewish uncles funeral- as a christian I put on a yarmulke out of respect- for him, his family and their faith.
No one else in my christian family did it while in attendance. They mocked me later for doing so.
"Christ was a Jew" I told them.

"OH NO! He has a SON?" Neoconservatives and Liberals EVERYWHERE!

Rand Paul 2016

O.K., personally...

But Rand is representing the USA (of all/no religions). By wearing it he is being subservient to, and placing the hebrew religion above the USA. Does he wear a turban in India, A dashiki in Africa, A grass skirt in Hawaii, does Hillary wear a burka in Saudi Arabia??? Do jews wear crosses when they visit the vatican?

Rand didn't wear that hat

all over Israel or in Israel generally. He wore it in that one location because all men who go there are required to. It signifies nothing. For the tourist, it is a cultural thing, nothing more.

Jews do not have to wear crosses in Catholic churches in Rome, but women tourists, including Jewish women tourists, are required to cover any bare shoulders when they enter churches that are frequented by tourists. The churches provide shawls for the tourist women to wear while they are in the church. The shawl does not signify anything. For the tourist, it is a cultural thing, nothing more.

Any man who enters a mosque, including a tourist, is required to remove his shoes, but it doesn't signify that the tourists are subservient to Allah or that they place Islam above the USA. For the tourist, it is a cultural thing, nothing more.

All women in Saudi have to wear burkas in public there, including the Christian wives of foreign Christian workers. It does not signify anything. For those women, it is a cultural thing, nothing more.

There is no place in Hawaii that requires anyone to wear a grass skirt, so that is a moot point.

YES, CarrotTop! Thanks for explaining how respecting

the hosts' wishes & customs DOES NOT degrade the integrity of the visitors!

Heck we ask our house visitors to take off their shoes in our house. . . not because we want them to be subservient to a tribe of barefoot savages!

our leaders don't EVER bow to the queen, either!

no, wait, sorry, obombya did!

and THAT didn't sit well with me, either!!!

Is a Yarmulke joke appropriate here?

A Chinese guy goes into a Jewish-owned establishment to buy black bras, size 38. The Jewish store keeper, known for his skills as a businessman, says that black bras are rare and that he is finding it very difficult to buy them from his suppliers. Therefore he has to charge $50.00 for them.

The Chinese guy buys 25 pairs.

He returns a few days later and this time orders fifty.

The Jewish owner tells him that they have become even harder to get and charges him $60.00 each.

The Chinese guy returns a month later and buys the store's remaining stock of

50, and this time for $75.00 each.
The Jewish owner is somewhat puzzled by the large demand for black size 38 bras and asks the Chinese guy, "...please tell me - What do you do with all these black bras?"

The Chinese guy answers: "I cut them in half and sell them as skull caps to Jewish men for $200.00 each."

That may just be the best

That may just be the best damned joke I've ever read.

judge a man by what's in his head

not on his head.

It is actions

actions, my dear.

true. tbh i just paraphrased

a quote about haircuts I used at school a long time ago. :D

I have no problem with

I have no problem with someone putting on a yarmulke. However, I seriously doubt that Rand would put on a Muslim cap and bow down toward Mecca. When politicians selectively take on other religions' attire and customs, I am suspicious. Politicians also need to start separating Israel from Judaism, or the long term consequencs won't be pretty. In the long run, I fear that Israel will be the worst thing to happen to people of Jewish faith. I say faith, for they are NOT a people.
