Alex Jones just started a "brushfire of freedom," as Samuel Adams put it

It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men. - Samuel Adams

I believe Alex Jones set an example for us to follow on CNN. We should be civil and debate all other topics but the 2nd amendment isn't up for debate. The 2nd amendment is the "line", the "Rubicon"m whatever you want to call it it shouldn't be defended lightly. The 2nd amendment is not negotiable.

"He shouldn't have acted so angry and disrespectful" you say. I say we all should be pissed off because the lives of thousands of Patriots who died for our Rights will all have died in vain if we just give up the right to bear arms. This is the time to be irate, not violent, but pissed!

We shouldn't forget Mathew 21:12-13 Mark 11:15-18 or John 2:13-22.

This is the part where Jesus gets pissed and starts flipping over tables and raising hell in the temple.

It's okay to direct angry rants gun grabbers, sorry the truth hurts.

I appreciate you Alex Jones

What did Alex do

despite the ranting raving theatrics it appears he gave we the people the right to get really pissed.

He might be a plant, although I still can't believe that. He might be a self serving opportunist, but it appears he did light a fire.

Trying to be nice just is not working. It may be that all that are woken up are all that will.

I was just wondering how many of you really think we will be able to save this Republic by being polite?

No.7's picture

The rights come from God, not Alex

What AJ did was draw the line and state the facts no one wants to hear but needs to hear.

We need to be polite elsewhere, but we can't budge an inch on gun rights.

We are ready

The other day I told my wife that I was ready to die before I hand them over. And she said she was too. So it feel right that we had a spokesperson screaming and ranting in front of the MSM fighting for what me and my wife and so many others are ready to die for. Thanks Alex for not holding back and letting them have it. If you're gonna come to get them, then you haven't heard the worst of the screaming and ranting yet.

Right there with you

To relinquish our rights is to renounce the God who endowed us with them and place the lives of thousands of slain soldiers in vain.

I hope you are right, BUT this was used to create a divide.

Those who know nothing of guns and nothing of Alex Jones are now set against us.

Those who look to CNN for their world view now think every gun owner is just like Alex Jones.

This was a calculated event. And those who are on our side are not courageous enough to fight like their forefathers fought.

Most will cower and hide from saying anything at all. They will unload their guns and stick them in the back of the closet hoping for no one to know they own one.

I carry at least one of mine open on my hip 50% of the time I am out and about in public. We need more of that, we don't need more of alex Jones.

.

I don't think very many people actually "look to CNN"

Or any other mainstream network for their entire worldview.

Maybe influenced by it too strongly. But the BS detectors are up in enough people that they don't swallow it all down whole.

Network ratings are down and declining fast.

imo stop giving them so much credit, and getting sucked into assuming what "everybody else" is thinking by putting yourself into their imaginary shoes.

This is what those networks, the perception management firms, and the spook agencies do when they are crafting their message.

They are never sure if it's entirely working in their favor or not.

You shouldn't be either.

There is nothing one can do about

willful stupidity, so I, for one, am not going to worry about it. I don't care if the know-nothings are now set against us because of this one interview. I don't care if the stupids now think every gun owner is just like AJ. There comes a time when someone has to do the right thing regardless of the lost souls of the stupids.

Everyone cannot

be saved.

YUK !

There already Was a divide

They want more of what we earn, they want 'free healthcare', they want 'free' higher education, they want 'free' birth control and abortions, they want us to 'share the sacrifice' they want, they want, they want!

Well, now they want our guns. Just from my observation, the number one 'line in the sand' for most folks is gun confiscation. So - we are at an impasse. Divided.

They have already proven that they won't listen to calm, logical, discussion. They don't care about statistical facts.

AJ undoubtedly EMBODIED their pre-conceived cartoonish notion of how All gun owners are. We're all a bunch of loud mouthed, gun-toting tea-bagger Texans to them, and nothing will change their minds about that.

If Joe & Jane Blow who don't know anything about guns or never saw A.J. before in their life form their monumental decisions off of something they saw on the Piers Morgan show ... well, maybe it's time to water the tree.

When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign: that the dunces are all in confederacy against him. ~J. Swift

Excellent! You reminded me of

Excellent! You reminded me of the one book Ron Paul said he recommended we all read and that is Bastiat's "The Law". The one thing that stuck out the most to me in it was that socialists do not listen to reason nor facts. Now that I realize that (and have seen their comments many times and they just don't care about the facts), I don't worry about them anymore. Good post!

Bow Down Before The One You Serve...

...bow down before the one you serve, you're going to get what you deserve.... head like a hole, black as your soul, I'd rather die than give you control....

The control the environment people show great faith in government to believe it can do the supernatural.

The control yourself people are realistic and understand that it is a fool's errand to seek power over the environment. They instead seek to become individually better able to negotiate and survive within the real environment.

Gun grabbers are control the environment and have religious faith in their god, the state, to actually change the environment to make everything safe and good.

It is no coincidence that the same warped mind that believes it can and should control the size of beverage people can purchase would also believe it can and should disarm people.

They actually believe the state can end all gun violence. If the state commits violence, it is righteous, like the Great Deluge of the Bible. It makes the world better. It is violence from god. Our god can make the world safe for democracy by going to war and killing lots of people. Our god can liberate people through sustained aerial bombing campaigns.

Facts, history, and reason all contradict the supposed supernatural powers of the state-god. Any attempt to control people, especially by the state, always meets with unintended, perverse consequences. The faith in the state runs counter to Natural Law. Natural Law favors the voluntary. The state-god demands the mandatory.

Those unbelievers who are critical of the state-as-god and instead rely on their own knowledge, skills, and reason obviously have a certain perspective.

They know that the believers are dragging us down to our collective destruction because of their inability to prepare themselves for the real environment and their constant obstructionism of those who are attempting to act rationally based on timely and factual information.

They are seen as zombies, sleepers, or just plain sheep. Our god says 'Baa'. The television says 'Baa'. We say 'Baa'. We are one with our god.

To the misguided gun-grabbing worshipers of the god-state... when the criminal gang bursts through your door, your god, the state, will have abandoned you and your environment will control you because you failed to learn how to control yourself and relied on a fiction and dream.

Just hope your neighbors were not so deluded or disappeared or disarmed for facing reality... because they are the only people who *might* save you under such conditions.

That's how it has always seemed to me, at least.

That was excellent,

Betty Liberty!

We need 1000 Paul Reveres

I'm pretty sure Paul carried too.

There was already a divide on gun rights, has been for years. I believe we have the majority on gun rights. Especially in the south.

I think most people are smart enough to know that not all gun owners believe in some of the conspiracies AJ believes in. Some will call us crazy, let em.

AJ made a courageous stand for gun rights in one of the worst places in the worst city he could have and he didn't back down one bit. I doubt I would have made the stand he made. You must admit that he has courage.

Respect goes out the window when they tread on Amendment II.

Alex was speaking clearly, gun rights aren't negotiable.

Definitely true in the south.

Definitely true in the south. I was reading the comments after the yahoo post of the videos and found one really interesting one. A person put it in perspective how many gun owners there are in this country. I don't know if all the numbers posted are accurate but if they are, this is interesting.
---------------

In WWII, Japan's highest ranking naval officer was Admiral Isoruku Yamamoto. Although he was Japanese, and his loyalties were unquestionably with The Empire, he studied for many years in America, graduating from Harvard University. There is an oft-repeated (and sometimes disputed) quote attributed to him regarding the possibility of any nation taking a war to American soil:

"You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."

Here is why he was correct:

The state of Wisconsin recently completed an entire deer hunting season without someone getting killed. That's great, considering there were over 600,000 hunters that got permits in 2010.

Allow me to restate that number.

Over the last two months, the eighth largest army in the world - more men under arms than Iran; more than France and Germany combined - deployed to the woods of a single American state to keep the deer population under control.

But that pales in comparison to the 750,000 who were in the woods of Pennsylvania or Michigan's 700,000 hunters have now returned home. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia, and it is literally the case that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.

And that is just FOUR states.

The total population of registered hunters in America today ranges from 23 million to 43.7 million individuals. (Based on annual data provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.)

As long as the American Hunter retains his right to Bear Arms, America will forever be safe from foreign invasion of troops.

Hunting - it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security.

And Just imagine the number of people who are not hunters but own weapons.

Big

ditto!

Really, they ALL should be a line in the sand

Guns are just the last straw. Without them, there would be NO talking at all.

True, the PATRIOT Act was crossing the line

Not to make excuses but I was in middle school at the time and Football practice and girls were more important to me then lol. It doesn't stop there either.

You're correct, gun rights are the last "line".
