Dis-gusting

SDSU is one of the biggest party schools in the nation. What a bunch of suckers. Do a little research, Aztecs, and find out why all this is going instead of hitting the beer bong again.

This story is ridiculous. Good thing there are people waking up.

My classmates in my program are refreshingly pro-gun. They've been going to the shooting ranges and gun shows in big groups.

A dozen or two people (including me) are going in two weeks to get our CCWs.

Naturally though our campus is a strict gun free zone. We are soon to be doctors, and some days we have our patients lives in our hands, literally, but we are not permitted to have firearms on the premises. It seems to me that if a doctor has a patient that may be incapacitated, it is not only his right to defend if necessary, it is his duty. Why would anyone prohibit this? Guns are dangerous, sure, but so are many, many other things in a hospital.

It's bizarro world.

Active Shooter Training

Instead of fetal position training, this is what Active Shooter Training should look like:

A school should be like any private institution

The principal should be in charge of protecting his or her kids and then appoint others with the right capabilities to stop any threat. Those who are screened for the job of carrying in an elementary school would probably be VERY SKILLED at not only shooting but also shooter scenarios and potential threat removal.

With the amount of soldiers who are also teachers or anyone with current training who also teaches I can see this being a PERFECT win win. Be able to still carry and be able to protect those around you if and when the need arises.

Now some soldiers might not cut the mental test but that should be locally dealt with and town to town and not some national armed force.

I can also see if they brought back shooting classes and clubs and the best of the best shooters could be the so called "hall monitor" because there are PLENTY of 17/18 year olds who would be more than capable of not only carrying but make sure those around him or her are SAFE as well.

We allow 17/18 year olds to go to war and kill so why not allow that same age group the capability to PROTECT and DEFEND here at home.

Now if only guns were not banned

on campuses the students wouldn't have to rely on throwing books and paper at a gunman...

these stooges on the tube

should be embarrassed.
