Are Alex Jones and conspiracy theorists holding back the Liberty movement?

Yes they are!

If we want this movement to grow we need level headed discussion not shouting and ranting.

I personally happen to agree that a lot of things that go on could have been conspiracies but if we do not get a grip on political power there is not much hope of us uncovering the truth.

We need to get our priorities right if we can get libertarians in positions of power the world over we have a chance of building a better society.

It makes it that much harder for this to occur when some of our supporters make it easy for people to write them off as crazies when they lose their cool.

We need to get back to basics and argue in a common sense way about freedom an personal responsibility, not the NWO or if reptilians hiding in the shadows.

P.S. I am not leaving here anytime soon!

Also read my post its at the bottom of the first page of the comments, it shows my opinion and I don't want to rewrite it

At what point of overwhelming

At what point of overwhelming evidence does a conspiracy "theory" become a conspiracy? Do you need an official announcement from the government? Good luck with that.

All of the government propaganda is the conspiracy theory.

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
― Ron Paul

Thread title doesn't match the content

It ought to be something like, "Does AJ spazzing out in public hurt our cause?"

or,"Should conspiracy theorists be mindful of their presentation?"

To me, the answer to both is YES.

Wait a minute...

So, when does it cease to be a conspiracy "THEORY"? When the government says "Ya, we killed all those people, it's official now... the democrats/republicans did it."?

Are you looking for official admissions is that it? lol

The evidence of many of those so called conspiracy theories is overwhelming but if you wait for some kind of admission by official authorities then you're hopelessly in denial of reality...

*BTW, I don't like Alex Jones style, I think he makes Truthers, 2nd amendment advocates and the Liberty Movement like raging retards and spreads 95% disinfo with 5% truth and that is why Piers brought him on. He's the Inside Job

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom — go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, an

Use discernment.

I pull what I can use, and dump the rest. Use discernment. Alex's biggest mistake imho was bringing 9/11 into the discussion on CNN.

Ron Paul says "You shouldn't go around believing in conspiracies, unless of course they're true." The creation of the Federal Reserve was a conspiracy. It was 2 or more people planning to commit a crime. That crime has been purpetrated for 99 years. All the time people get convicted of conspiracy to commit fraud or murder, etc. It's a word. Gov and MSM have now assigned it a different value, and I would think DP'ers of all people would be immune to such tactics.

Cops often have to come up with theories on how a crime was committed. Does that make all cops "conspiracy theorists"?

Alex is just another prong of our attack on tyranny, that's all. You take the high road, I'll take the low road, etc. His cup of tea might not be for you. That's cool! Yeah, he goes off the rails at times, but things are getting so bad that we need someone to scream through a bullhorn in the face of evil. I'm willing to work with people I agree on 80% with like Reagan said. Thay are not our enemies. For example, I don't agree on many things with Zeitgeisters, #Occupiers, and Anti-Rand'ers, but I'm willing to work with them to move the ball forward. Please consider this.

I think the Reagan approach is what is needed here.

Did he?

AS I recall, it was PM that brought it up...

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

Alex mentioned in in passing earlier as just one of the false flags he rattled off, which opened the door for PM at the end.

Sorry, but when so called "conspiracy theorists"

are and have been right all along on many of the issues they bring up... Well, you'd have to have a serious and dangerous case of normalcy bias, not to figure out the truth.

If by "liberty movement" you mean airmchair debating, internet posting, do nothing, live with your mom, not even an American, poseurs.

If you mean true American patriots, who believe that GOD gave them their rights, not any man, and especially not a guy in a suit, then No. You're presumption is 100% wrong.

Now go ask mommy for some waffles.

NO MORE LIES. Ron Paul 2012.

Ha ha!

Your first sentence made me laugh!

The second was actually very good.

The third was very odd....

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

It's because of Alex Jones and people like him...

... that we will be successful in restoring freedom in the country and the world for that matter.

He alone has inspired millions of people to join the Freedom movement. Like him or not he is the modern day Paul Revere and you should have more respect for him and what he has accomplished.

No, Mary, I don't know what the tinsmith is yelling about.

I think most sheep will see

I think most sheep will see Alex Jones as a lunatic because he can't control his emotions but I love his ambition and was laughing hilariously while he was demeaning Piers Morgan. Haha. Alex opened my eyes to what is really happening in america. I would still be asleep like the other zombies out there. So hate him for who he is but at least he has the balls to stand up for what he believes in and fuck the script all to hell> :)

I have mixed feelings

I appreciate that Alex really believes all the stuff he says and isn't afraid to say it. I also appreciate that he and his crew are passionate about what they do and work hard to put out a constant stream of entertaining videos, articles, and radio. I mean the guy entertains me and I love listening to his show, I don't know what to say.

The thing that frustrates me the most, is that so much of what he says and reports is "truthy" enough to be scary, but he is so easily dismissed by every possible mainstream news outlet because of the 9/11 truth stuff. Let's take, for instance, the start of this hit piece CNN put out today:

It starts out:

Conspiracies abound, Alex Jones will tell you.
Bankers pull the strings on world governments to solidify their power. Companies are harming you and ducking responsibility. Antidepressants are "suicide mass murder pills." President Barack Obama is using drones against Americans.
And the collapse of the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001, was engineered by the government.

Let's see:

1. Bankers pull the strings on world governments to solidify their power.
- Yes. See Greece.

2. Companies are harming you and ducking responsibility.
- Yes. Is this even controversial?

3. Antidepressants are "suicide mass murder pills."
- Sensationalist, but yes some antidepressants list suicidal thoughts as side effects right?

4. President Barack Obama is using drones against Americans
- Absolutely. This is not in doubt.

And then BOOM: 9/11 truth is used to dismiss the first 4 obviously true things as being crazy conspiracy theories. I just get upset at the thought of all the people who will never look into the true things Alex says, because of all the conspiracy stuff he's into.

Conspiracy therorists are the movement!

True!!! Conspiracy FACTS!!! Alex delivered a bad interview on Morgans show, BUT we will still back him.

Alex did what he did.. He certainly got out alot of subject

matter and has got this whole thing in high gear. If you read what he said - accurate. He got everyone's attention- now here comes Larry Pratt when everyone is tuning in. We saw again how rude Piers Morgan is with gentlemen. Alex Jones hurting the liberty movement? That's just crazy. The media is killing us!

Dude... you are from

Dude... you are from Australia.. set your own Country free first then worry about the US.

We got our own little Piersy Morgan on here.... Doesn't Piers wear silk shirts too? Lol

NO MORE LIES. Ron Paul 2012.

The problem

is a global one. We all need to work together.

Luke 3:38
Isaiah 43:3-5

No we don't.

Free includes debt-free!

Wtf? This problem IS a global problem, we DO have to work all together!

Ever heard of central banking? The entire western world is dominated by it? This is a global problem, and the reason for the global destruction.

A global problem does not need a global collective to do battle.

Open and competitive global markets would allow us to "work" together to our mutual benefit. Private property and voluntary transactions is all that is needed.

Here's some background:

Since nobody does stupid like government, we just need to leave the out of it.

Free includes debt-free!

Yeah I agree

And we all have to work together to end the current system and allow free markets to flourish, by educating the people to understand the principles behind liberty.

Hopefully we can work together for a free world.

I support your right to own guns not that you care.

Why don't you look at the big picture? Australia will never change to a libertarian society until the U.S. does. I hope to help see that happen even if I only add one millionth percent of support in the overall effort.

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

crocodile dundee could have

crocodile dundee could have used some help

no kidding

What you have ...

What you have totally missed is that it doesn't matter if you are actually a crazy or not, the MSM will portray you as one anyway since it controls the medium.

The MSM views Ron Paul as a crazy and he never went all "Alex Jones" in an interview. What Alex Jones said needed to be said. BO and the other gun grabbers are playing with fire and just might start something that will result in their heads being mounted on pikes on the White House lawn.

If they were smart, they would forget Sandy Hook, however nobody every seriously thought BO was smart.

No they're not

I do not believe that Alex Jones and his fear mongering, nor the the conspiracy theorists hold this movement back.

I say this because in reality they're is a New World Order type of Illuminati comprised with some of the wealthiest and most powerful individuals on earth; can you explain who benefits due to the evils behind the Federal Reserve, RBC, CIBC, Monsanto, Morgan Stanley, Chase, IMF, World Bank, EU and the list keeps going on and on. There clearly is a group of individuals with their own agenda and that needs to be pointed out and discussed. However I will say that this group is very small; they are not as all powerful as one might think mainly because these bastards have created the well accepted philosophy of modern day socialism is the best way to run a government, population, business and the world. People and many politicians, judges and high ranked people endorse socialism and the big one Keynesian. To backtrack and prove this theory just research who created public schools in America, a Rockefellar for Christ sakes. Anyways Alex Jones and other Conspiracy theorists do not hurt our cause they educate people and agree as well spread our message of liberty; The people who hurt our movement are the people who as you said shout and scream and force our opinions on others. I have done this many a times and gotten nowhere; it wasn't until I became level headed and made sensible arguments, that I began to really change peoples thoughts.

So what I'm trying to say is be kind to your fellow man and preach the message of liberty in a mild tempered tone; yes use anger and rage in certain parts to show passion but don't go around making an ass of yourselves.
