How Americans could crash the system

Imagine what would happen if everyone did one or some of the following, all at once:

1) Turned off the TV, cancelled cable, cancelled subscriptions to all lying media
2) Cancelled Facebook, stopped giving it all away to gov't surveillance
3) Pulled their children out of public school
4) Didn't show up for their bureacratic jobs
5) Stopped buying Chinese goods
6) Stopped buying GMO food, as far as possible
7) Cancelled health insurance, if possible, and got off drugs, if possible, to starve Big Pharma
8) Stopped worshipping the military
9) Decided to never enrich the bankers by getting a mortgage
10) Cut back on expenses to whittle down the state tax revenue...
11) Decided to never show up for a sham election with electronic voting machines again

Any other ideas for peaceful revolution? How else could we legally outwit the powers that be?

I have done everything but #11.

Though I know the voting machines are a scam too.

In this trend of ideas...

I've been suspecting for a while now (and yes, maybe just daydreaming), that, in this trend of ideas, it wouldn't even take that many Americans to send a strong signal... with some effect on Main Scam Medias' attention.

I've posted about this a couple times.

Here was the last:

Really. I've thought about it quite often. Just as others did before me.

Really not that many people could shake things up with enough synchronicity in their action. I'm as tired as everybody with all these PTB-engineered a-la-Kony 2012 PSY-OPS...

... but THAT (above)... coming from the real, voluntary, productive, self-reliant people who care, would likely make the apathetic people (public and businesses) raise eyebrows (and more...), I believe.

"Cyril" pronounced "see real". I code stuff.

12) Stop paying parking

12) Stop paying parking fines, traffic tickets, and misdemeanor tickets! Show up and demand to set out your fine in the local jail! At most a day or two, and no money to the beast while clogging the system to a standstill! Be the clog in the gears of the machine!

too funny!

this would make writing those tickets (intended to generate revenue) VERY expensive
(in food, shelter, guards) for the issuers!

i like. if one can do. (what the hell, take some vacation days for an adventure!)

most fines in my area have dramatically increased, ie $77 double parking ticket is now $277!

Make them pay for writing out tickets

This guy claims an iron clad system for beating any ticket in court, and he makes them pay for his time for going to court. Carl Miller says he has never lost in court so far, and has help 100 win! So now the D. A. will go to jail if he doesn't come up with the cash!

If nothing else he really helps in studying the Constitution.

12. Had home e-mail servers the price of toasters, and never logged into google.
13. Only used separate anonymous accounts for smartphones.
14. Stopped using credit cards and bank loans. Set up family and community groups for emergencies and properly planned purchases.
15. Switch to any currency not controlled by a central bank and Wall Street, gold, silver, bitcoins, gold or silver backed notes with an exchange window... I'm sure communities and states could come with some great solutions.

We don't need to end the fed, if we just obsolete it.

Use nickels

or better yet, use gold or silver eagles.

Deut 25:13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.
14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.
15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have:

Hear, O Israel: YHUH our God YHUH one. And thou shalt love YHUH thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Many 'good' ideas here. Not many great ones, IMHO.

The reason is practicality. End the Fed is the sole effort of many different groups and yet it lags endlessly because it has little mainstream popular support. What's the proposal for getting enough people to wake up and do any of these things? I don't see any.

For every person we wake up, the pravda suckers a couple back in. Unless we can get full comprehension and full libertarian/free market/constitutional awareness so people begin to make the right choices on their own, they are still going to be vulnerable.

However, there are ways to get them to do something without fighting the public propaganda war out in the open. We offer better alternatives. It's that simple.

Here's a couple on the OPs list with a minor change that makes it much more practical.

1. Turn off TV? Why not create a viral boycott web site where people use a social network style tool to keep the worst company in a perpetual state of boycott? e.g. people vote on their choices regularly and after some Piers Morgan crap airs, they suddenly switch to the sponsors of his show. That switch alone makes news and the company pulls its ads. Boom, problem dramatically affected, possibly within hours. Of course this would only work if it had proven that some company sustained in the top position was actually put out of business. (Let's start with Monsanto. Shall we?)

2. Cancel Facebook? Use FB to promote stuff on Diaspora. That's the truly free market FB where you own your own data. Use Diaspora to promote all the best viral videos, sites and news, etc. Repeatedly show examples of FB giving out too much info.

3. Pulled their children out of public school? Well, yes but how? Too many places don't have any local alternative and not enough people are comfy with the home schooling options yet. We need to showcase case studies and example kids on the various non-public school system. There are half a dozen 'traditionalized' home school curricula, there's a Khan Academy lecture component (that's awesome in math and growing rapidly in other subjects), there's unschooling and more. Find a way to get people away from the false premises involved here and in touch with the truth.

4. Don't show up for bureaucratic jobs? So, how do they pay bills when unemployment doesn't pay for quitting a job? This is impractical but we do need to foster more private income so people will have a better alternative. Consider that crowdfunded startups DON'T pay 40-60% of their lifetime profit to loan sharks, vulture capitalists or bank expenses and as such, they don't have near the regulatory requirements. ;)

5. Stop buying Chinese food/products? Why? They need to live in this world too. This is not a war between our people and theirs. It's a war between ALL people and the banks. By creating truly free trade with more market driven equality, the poorest countries will rise in prosperity to equal the richest and TPTB will lose their wealth and power.

6. Stop buying GMOs? That would be nice but try to find enough people that even know about it now? Why don't they? Because their friends that do know about it are paying double for organic at some name brand organic store and they couldn't convince them it was worth it. Let's provide proof that it is cheaper to grow locally (and more healthy) to those on the fence. Then the movement will spread 'organically' (pun intended).

7. Cancel health insurance? With nothing different, that's suicide in many ways. However, if around 5 million people 'knew' that all insurance was a 12:1 scam and that roughly $30k (lifetime) or $30/mo (for life) would pay for the same benefit, it would be easy to gather that many people into a pool. If that pool somehow gave people the opportunity to receive cash and pay the bill themselves (and not getting the doctor involved or even aware of insurance), they could negotiate the bills much lower. (I've seen people pay as little as 30% in cash numerous times.) Combine this with all insurance and it gets better!

8. Stop worshipping the military? Not sure of a great 'free market' solution here but if we kept our money local and didn't need such handouts (at all levels from individual to national) we wouldn't care if other countries transacted in gold. (IMHO the main reason we got to war. Oil at #2 could be eliminated with sound renewables mix.)

9. Starve the banker via no mortgage, etc.? I agree completely but impractical until an alternative is offered. We could use all the new crowdfunding sites to morph them into mortgage lenders (private ones at fixed interest). People could get better rates while investors get better rates too (because the middlemen are removed). This works best for business loans.

10. Cut back on expenses to cut tax revenue? Can't simply stop buying what you need unless you no longer need it. If we stopped buying oil because we made our own energy, we could keep $700B/yr in the hands OF THE PEOPLE. If we stopped borrowing money from banks or investing in the stock market (which sends much of that to the banks) or buying insurance (because we pooled it) then not only would we be paying less taxes but we would be able to buy 2-5 times as much stuff for the hours we do work.

11. Boycott voting? How about we focus attention on the FEC (Federal Election Commission) and force them to accurate count the votes? I proposed a way a few months back on how easy it would to implement a system of 100% accountability. It wouldn't prove what the vote was but it would instantly show where and how many incorrect votes occurred. Powered by the people, the free market and simple curiosity. Cost, maybe $20M total.

As many have noted, we don't need 100% participation in any idea. What we need is to surpass "the tipping point". That is usually 20% but in cases where the public is actively SEEING their action cause results, this more than cuts that in half. Things were people feel empowered spread much faster.

So, how many of these type of things can we get 6-8% of the population to do?

Good Points

This may sound odd, but I've come to the conclusion that our best shot (at getting people to wake up and stay awake, or however you want to put it) is to teach them to consistently hit a man-sized target with a military battle rifle out to 500 yards.

Rifle Marksmanship is the gateway drug to the love of liberty.

Get them to a Project Appleseed marksmanship clinic.

Thomas Jefferson to his fifteen year old nephew on exercise:

I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprize, and independance to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks.

Marksmanship: The only sport endorsed by the founders.

Thanks for the post, farmer.

You miss my entire point

I understand standing up for ones self but you miss what I was saying.

There is no reason we have to wake everyone up. We just have to solve the problems.

What problem(S)? IMHO, banks causing money scarcity across the board (from the individual to nations) have turned everyone into prostitutes for money. On every level, people are willing to trade 'some' morals or ethical judgement for some form of financial gain. Why?

Because long ago, the banks tied financial wealth to the social ladder. More money in any industry equals more social standing. But this can change and quickly too.

All we have to do is bankrupt the banks. However, boycotting the banks is not practical (ref my list) without offering an alternative for people to survive financially. If that's a given, then follow along...

If we CAN offer an alternative which stops people from paying the banks (via directly or any indirect method) and that alternative is financially beneficial to those people, then why do we even have to wake them up to the whole scheme going on? If they switch for the sole reason of personal gain and that fixes the problem, why fight the decades-long battle of propaganda at all?

Just implement the alternatives in the first place and let the banks fail from that. Wealth will trickle down the ladder in proportion to genuine social benefit and power will follow.

When the banks were in (publicly) dire straights, I often heard that it would only take 3-4% sustained boycott to completely kill them off.

I didn't miss your point, but you seem to have missed mine...and Jefferson's.

We don't have to wake everybody up, but we have to wake enough people up and keep them awake. We are sorely lacking in numbers and intellectual capital to solve any of the problems you suggest solving. We lack numbers and ideas to offer viable alternatives.

I gave my suggestion about how to wake up enough (not all) people. Maybe it will be enough.

I did miss yours

regarding the guns being a tool to wake people up, although I think that's applicable only to certain social circles.

I still think you believe that it will take a great many more behind the movement than we currently have. I disagree.

We are most definitely NOT lacking in intellectual capital to solve problems, nor are we lacking in ideas. Both are just staying under the radar at this time and I don't know of a single problem that doesn't already have the guts underway. Being close to those circles, I can say that solutions are not the bottleneck but rather financing. And to that point, people are morphing crowd-funding into the models needed to solve that.

I can say...

I absolutely hope you are correct. In the mean time, I will invest in teaching as many people as I can the heritage of the American rifleman. That is the social circle from which the ideas of maximizing liberty, personal responsibility, and independence in America sprang. It may be a limited social circle. And that may be the problem.

But I wish you all the best in other circles.

Stop paying taxes?

Replace health insurance with what?

I agree with the concept, but then what's the other half of the equation? What to replace health insurance with?

This implies a couple of things to me.
1) Health literacy - learn everything you can about your health so you can take care of yourself. What causes diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, etc.
2) Diagnosis - what diagnostic methods are available to the public? If you didn't participate in the government distorted health care system & insurance, how would you diagnose what your condition was without the exorbitantly overpriced hospitals, major blood labs & MRIs?

The answers and systems for people to take care of their own health already exists, but it takes some serious efforts to change from an insurance & pharmacologically dependent lifestyle to one that is self directed.

For example, there are 42 essential nutrients, chemicals that by definition mean, you cannot live or be reasonably healthy if you do not ingest these on a regular basis. How many of us know what our own status is regarding these 42 chemicals? Why have most of us never checked our status on these most basic factors for preventing disease? "We didn't know" is the most frequent answer I hear.

Now is the time to start learning what we don't know that could kill us. It will make cancelling health insurance much easier when we are confident we could take care of our own health without it.

yes, it takes time and moxie--

work, research, reading, education--

And then when an accident happens (that's not especially traumatic), and other people are nearby and threaten to call 911, and you know you can take care of it yourself, and you're pleading with those standing nearby not to call 911 (because you are uninsured and do not want to deal with the ER anyway)--

and are so relieved to be left alone with a few kind friends to take you home, so you can help yourself--

Yes, it's hard. It's very hard--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Catastrophic Coverage as Interim Measure

Accidental traumas account for about 2% of total health care expenditures (1) so it's not where most of the insurance money is going. The vast majority of health insurance expenditures go for care of issues where there is more opportunity to examine your diagnostic and treatment choices. Conditions like heart disease, mental disorders, pulmonary issues and cancer, are the big 4 health care expenditures, conservatively accounting for 26% of all health care expenditures. These are also areas where treatment successes are quite a bit higher outside of the pharma dominated health insurance system.

Still, you bring up a good point. For those who are concerned about accidental traumas and their personal ability to deal with their health in the middle of a crisis, there is an incremental step that can be taken in withdrawing from the health insurance system. Get catastrophic health insurance as you wean yourself off of regular insurance. This way, true emergencies and other relatively rare, but catastrophic issues can be covered.

We Need to Get Out of The We Will Show Them Mindset

I have noticed that we tend to resort to a we will show them motive for doing things. We need to do things simply because they are the right thing to do. Following a number of these stated perscriptions are right because they are right, not because it might send a message to "the system."

Also, the reason why I still watch MSM is so I know what moves they are making and the current tactics they are using. I believe you have to remian in the loop to a certain extent in order to oppose it.

I know not course others may take, but as for me, give me Liberty, or give me Death! ~Patrick Henry

Did half by choice and half just happened

The single best thing I've ever done was turning off the TV.(well, breaking my habit of excessive drinking was big too)

I no longer earn enough to have to file taxes. (probably won't ever earn enough "income" for the rest of my life either)

I have a credit union account with 5 bucks in it. I have one of the last florida DL that is NOT a REAL ID.

Only child has already graduated from college.

Being poor makes checking off this list easy.

The main thing an idea like this lacks

is coordination. Obviously.

The original Tea Party moneybomb of '07 succeeded (and launched an astroturf spin-off movement as an unintentional consequence, I might add) because of the grassroots actually coordinating something, with compelling videos and all of that.

If we had someone with more clout advocating an idea like this, it could be effective enough, even on a small scale, to shock the system. Some of those changes would be difficult for people but so is submitting to a runaway police state and suffering the long term consequences.

If someone managed to coordinate something like this and have it gain traction, it would be difficult to get real feedback, because they control the media and wouldn't openly admit they were thrown for a loop when things went bonkers at once. I can't think of how we could independently verify our results, in order galvanize for even bigger "Dodge the System Days" or whatever. Maybe by looking at stock prices?

But none of what I've proposed is harmful, anyway. :)

Eating fresh vegetables is also revolutionary in its own way.

Buy Silver .... Milk the System

I would say get any money you can from the system. The financial system of the US is destined to collapse...help it do just that.

Buy silver and gold. With whatever money one can spare, get as much as you can.

have done everything but not have a mortgage--

I need a place to live; rentals are MUCH more in my area, and a person can't 'fit them' to individual needs; landlords can be capricious--

often can't even have a garden--

but already have done all the rest--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Already did that for a few years and it is great! Still...

Already did that for a few years and it is great! Still... most people will continue straying in the darkness of dependence on this NWO system.

in my opinion

it wouldn't need to be all over Americans. Even 1/3 to 1/2 could probably do it.

"Turn on, tune in, drop out"

"Turn on" meant go within to activate your neural and genetic equipment. Become sensitive to the many and various levels of consciousness and the specific triggers that engage them. Drugs were one way to accomplish this end. "Tune in" meant interact harmoniously with the world around you - externalize, materialize, express your new internal perspectives. "Drop out" suggested an active, selective, graceful process of detachment from involuntary or unconscious commitments. "Drop Out" meant self-reliance, a discovery of one's singularity, a commitment to mobility, choice, and change. Unhappily my explanations of this sequence of personal development were often misinterpreted to mean "Get stoned and abandon all constructive activity".- Timothy Leary

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
Friedrich Nietzsche

We could

start growing HEMP. It would kill companies like Exxon and Big Pharma.

We could buy Silver and make Chase-Morgan do an "internal audit" on themselves.

We could tell our legislators that if they don't Nationalize the Federal Reserve Bank, we will legally Recall every single one of them.

I know there's more ideas out there...

Lima-1, out.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Much easier version

1. Buy physical gold and silver coins.
(More imporant than you think in world of fiat currency and fractional reserve banking. It takes real money from the elite's coffers)

2. Cancel accounts and change to local credit union. Use cash.

3. Buy guns, ammo, accessories, and personal gear.

4. Sign up for concealed carry licences. Carry whenever legal.

5. Join/start a local militia group, prepper group, or "zombie survival: groups with fellow friends.

6. Stop watching talking about TV. Use the internet but don't use mainstream media addresses.

7. Participate in other local political associations. Get to know your people and organize.

8. Do any legal trading off the system if you can. Establish "trade groups" and hobby organizations.

Do these first, then what you wrote OP.

If a family is living paycheck to paycheck

these ideas don't actually do anything to mitigate the problem. Also, many are not practical unless you have discretionary income to spare.

I would classify these as more preparation type actions, not game-changing actions.
