Professor Won't Back Down from Newtown Conspiracy Theory

Yahoo! News:

A media professor at Florida Atlantic University who is questioning the Sandy Hook massacre has caused controversy with his conspiracy claims.

James Tracy, who writes a personal blog about conspiracy theories, believes the events that unfolded at Sandy Hook did not happen as reported.

The professor writes on his blog, Memory Hole, “While it sounds like an outrageous claim, one is left to inquire whether the Sandy Hook shooting ever took place—at least in the way law enforcement authorities and the nation’s news media have described.” He suggests that there were multiple shooters and that the number of dead is incorrect. The blog post was published on the Global Research site, where it caught the attention of the Web.

The academic, who is known for his conspiracy theories on 9/11 and the Oklahoma bombing, believes—as he claims on his blog and recently stated on a radio show—that trained “crisis actors” may have been employed by the Obama administration to shape public opinion on gun control.

I want the full video of that interview

I don't trust the newscaster's summary enough to share it. I might be more apt to share the actual interview itself.

[In fact, the Bushmaster .223 Connecticut police finally claimed was used in the shooting is designed for long range field use and utilizes high velocity bullets averaging 3,000 feet-per-second, the energy of which even at considerable distance would penetrate several bodies before finally coming to rest in tissue.]

this claim is not true in that they make fragmenting .223 home defense rounds. i have a few boxes made by extreme tactical i believe.

he makes good points about surveillance video and the aftermath video, evacuation etc.

Also consider

that those high velocity rounds at such short ranges will not tumble and will just punch a small hole through someone. Teachers that attacked him would still be able to keep coming unless hit in the head or heart (maybe even then) and could take him down. That's why police are trained to keep shooting until the suspect is down without a weapon in his hand.

.223/5.56 lethality is dependent on velocity; the faster it's moving, the more likely it is to tumble & fragment. At close range, it's devastating. It makes a tiny entry hole, and the exit is usually very, very messy. Any number of combat veterans can tell you that.

ok, I'll accept your word for it now.

Thank you.

But I've also heard of people (not on drugs) getting shot multiple times at close range and still heading for the person doing the shooting (usually a cop). Actually, I wouldn't want to be on either end of it!

how sad

the media does not investigate mass shootings with such vigor.

seems they've proven his point.

It seems all tyrannies have a stage where they marginalize any opposition from academia or intelligentsia and eventually snuff out all opposition.

It is pretty sad that there aren't many in academia or respected communities, especially the media that ask for more evidence.

Of tyrants and tyrannies

A tyrant demands absolute supremacy in as many ways as he thinks he can get away with! Every nation that suffers/ed under tyranny can always point to someone known to have usurped that power from the people because that kind of centralization of power is impossible under an oligarchy.

Any opinion that displeases the tyrant is deemed worthy of punishment, and only those who please him have a reasonable expectation of gain, ie. tenure.

Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them. - Frederick Douglass

Would that be something

like the drones and a presidential kill list??

What a question! I call this a fishing expedition....

I wonder who told the reporter to ask:

"Is there anything you want to say to that person at home that's going to throw their shoe at the TV and say this guy is a total nut?"

I would have said - "No. I only have rational questions that I think need to be answered before it can be claimed that the investigation and coverage has been fair."

My friend went to highschool

My friend went to highschool with the mother of a murdered child. How does he account for this?

Please bear with me

I am NOT interested in "seeing dead children" but I am interested if parents ever identified, or saw, their own child. I know some parents were refused. I know the children were reported to have been identified by photographs, and to have been shot 2 or 3 times each in the face.
I send my sincerest condolences to your friend, I DO believe people died, but I don't believe what we are being told.
Our predicament is that we cannot even ask questions without being painted as ghouls, and nothing could be further from the truth. There is one father who says "I don't have much family" who was accused of appearing to read a prompter or card. I felt he looked sincere, and having no family to help him ask hard questions while he grieved made me suspect he would be an ideal piece of "collateral damage" for the EVIL kind of people that are UP TO SOMETHING.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

Still room to question

If you feel that is verifiable/verified evidence, then I think there is still room to question if the shooting occurred the way it is being reported by officials.

I think he is trying to say that there are large holes in how this event happened. And to him, perhaps not having verifiable evidence like you claim available to himself, he thinks some of those holes in the story are large enough to questions even that basic premise of what actually transpired involved any kids being killed.

I don't agree with that personally. I think there was a real tragedy that occurred, but that the story being told about it is not close to reality.

We should

Send him some moral support.

I do not claim to know what happened at Sandy Hook, Aurora, the Seik Temple.... 911, JFK, RFK and JFKjr too...

but I do question the stories we've been told, and I ask you, Patriots! When will selfless bravery like this affect you? What will it take for you to find your backbone... and speak up?

The Corporate News Media can't stand to be questioned.

They want to be perceived as the experts, and they view questions of themselves as contempt.

Anyone who has watched a reporter first hand do their job knows that there is no investigative reporting going on anymore.

It is all propaganda from a particular political or economic view that can not contradict the worldview of their corporate bosses.

There is no investigation, only a loose partnership between idiot cops and lazy reporters that serve each other in the pseudo-news racket.

That is all that this professor is saying. And yet for saying it they are lying about him trying to make him look like the kook for challenging their integrity.

So many questions unanswered

The biggest question that my head can't wrap around is why did that father smile right before the interview?

Lima-1, out.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Where did the kids come from that ended up on Rosen's lawn? Were they the ones shot or the ones the cops found in the closet?

"Adam Lanza attacked the Sandy Hook primary education school in the Connecticut County of Fairfield, known as the “hedge fund ghetto” due to its being one of the wealthiest counties in the United States, where he killed school officials and an entire class of children experts believe were a part of a DARPA “experiment” being oversaw by his mother Nancy Champion Lanza."

reading your post about this

reading your post about this a few days ago sent my brain into thinking mode. it's just so bizarre.

clearly no one(except the shooter(s))knows what really transpired that day, but again just like with 9/11, Aurora, etc there are just so many inconsistencies.

they don't care how many they kill if it furthers their agenda. How many people were killed at the WTC? Do you feel it could have been a conspiracy too? Just because it's a conspiracy does not mean no one got hurt or killed.

Personally, I am starting to get the bad feeling that Sandy Hook was a conspiracy, and that makes it hurt even more that the children were killed.

You can bet he is being pressured

to modify his statement. Here are more profs joining him.

"Two professors at mainstream, respected state universities are advocating conspiracy theories about the Dec. 14 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School." Tracy said he believes that the Sandy Hook shooting could have been constructed to increase public support for gun control.

Dr. James H. Fetzer; The former Marine, who attended Princeton as an undergraduate, believes the ultimate aim of the operation is to achieve a ban on assault rifles in preparation for “a massive civil war against the American people.”

Beware Fetzer. He tanked the

Beware Fetzer.

He tanked the 9/11 truth movement at the worst possible time. When academics were first starting to gain momentum he positioned himself as a co-founder of "Scholars for 9/11 Truth". The group was getting on C-Span, including the most watched program in the network's history, and gaining traction. After the group started to gel, he and several other prominent members switched from evidence based analysis to absolutely crazy theories about space weapons and mini-nukes. While the serious scholars were stepping into lab science, he was causing a rift with absolutely no evidence to substantiate his group's claims. The end result was that the real academics left the original scholars group and formed a new one, and all the momentum they created was destroyed. This was the origin of all the space weapon, mini-nuke crap.

I suspect him of being a mole. In fact, I'd more or less guarantee it. From my understanding, he did similar things with the JFK movement, though I wasn't around for that. If anything, his involvement means that the investigations into shooting have serious merit. Fetzer is there to discredit them when it will hurt the most.

Thanks for the heads up

But this is not James Fetzer. This professor's name is James Tracy.

Fetzer was mentioned by the poster I responded to. Clynbrit mentions him and links to a Yahoo article. That is why I brought him up.

I know nothing about James Tracy. I haven't had time to look beyond the surface of the shootings. What I'm saying is that if Fetzer is getting involved, it would be wise for the people researching and promoting inconsistencies surrounding the shootings to be wary of him.

I learned the hard way that agents are all too real. Some try to manipulate message boards, but the dangerous ones infiltrate physical groups and attempt to take leadership positions in movements. Judge them by their fruits. Look into their history.

Thanks for the clarification

I agree with you that agents are definitely real. Sorry you had to learn that the hard way. Feel free to elaborate or not.

Maybe just quicksand?

It might have just been the huge straw man that is the tower destruction that he got bogged down in.

I suspect that many of the things they say are true. I imagine that many methods were used, probably more than have been theorized about so far too. It’s very muddy by design.

I have seen the Nano-thermite evidence, the unreasonable hot spots in the debris, the fact that there wasn’t really enough above ground debris. Either there was a really big hole under the towers, or a lot of the debris vaporized, possibly both and more.

The biggest difference between a regular explosive and nuclear explosive is the power/size ratio. Designing a shaped nuke the size of a coffee can would be easy. A small one wouldn’t radiate the entire area for centuries. Most radiation would be contained in the debris.

There was evidence of higher than normal radiation at the debris site and in the debris being hauled away as quickly as possible.

I don't doubt the existence of space based lasers. A movie in the early 80's fictionally detailed such a weapon.

Also, recall that the FBI approached the sit-com "Get Smart" in order to acquire a shoe telephone in the 60's. They weren't real then, but someone made it so in pretty short order.

They certainly had space based weapons in the 80’s, the Star Wars SDI used nukes instead of lasers, but an upgrade in the last 20 years is possible.

Perhaps Fetzer just got caught in the straw, and did it with poor timing?

I will keep a more critical eye on him though, lest he get caught in the straw designed into Sandy Hook. ;)

Just open the box and see

Nuclear bombs don't irradiate

Nuclear bombs don't irradiate anything for centuries. Look at pictures of Hiroshima now. Radiation levels spike dramatically, to the point of being extremely fatal, but dissipate in a month or so. The smallest known bombs are tactical nukes, which would have wiped out a good portion of Manhattan. Nothing in the evidence points to that.

The amount of energy which would be required to do that kind of damage from a space based weapon precludes that possibility. I got to see a super powered laser when I was a kid in the late eighties. It was the length of a room, required serious power, and put a small divot in the wall. While "rods from God" etc do have a basis in reality, that isn't what people are talking about. They can't do damage like this, and the effect would be much different. Run the numbers. Unless you are assuming a thousand years of technical advances, or more, being hidden then the numbers are many orders of magnitude away from adding up.

Don't take your understanding of what is physically possible from movies. Don't assume that the government has orders of magnitude better technology than what is available to the public. For the most part they play catch-up on tech, and do it by wasting billions.

"Freedom suppressed and again regained bites with keener fangs than freedom never endangered." -- Cicero

I was only stating thinking points, and I know that even a big nuke won’t destroy an area forever.

I also don't get my understanding of what's possible from movies. I mention them because many times they actually drive technology. The cell phone is one example of that (not from the shoe).

It’s true that they waste billions, and in many areas are using commercial technology.

But, don't be fooled by the propaganda that they are barely able to keep up in the fast passed world. Bleeding edge tech is way more advanced than you might suspect. The Cray supercomputer, designed in the 70's, is a laptop compared to bleeding edge. 3D printers are becoming commonplace. Low power lasers are commonplace, and small cutting lasers can be had for 10,000.

The military doesn’t have to waste money on all tech, they do have a key to the patent office.

I'm not suggesting a space ray gun did it either. I'm simply suggesting that there was more than one method used to bring down the towers. It stands to reason, and the evidence, in my mind.

A "mini-nuke" of some kind doesn’t violate the laws of physics.
You should check out Richard Feynman’s lecture on miniaturization.

I am open to the evidence, whatever it might be. There is not much of it and what there is seems contradictory in places, hence the problems. ;)
