Tom Davis Leads South Carolina Nullification Rally! (Video)

There was a big nullification rally in South Carolina, and Tom Davis was one of the headline speakers. And just like Ron usually does, no script just speaks from the heart!

"My object over the next four years and everyday I walk into that Senate chamber, is to find another way to thwart federal encroachment; another way of stopping the federal government from overstepping the bounds that we the states have given them for them to act. Everyday I'm going to try to step in there and make South Carolina the freest state in the nation.

This state has a proud tradition of leaders stepping up and holding aloft the candle of liberty at a time when things were darkest. We have to rise to that challenge now. We have God's will on our side. We have the US Constitution on our side. All we need is your will to get it done and we will."

Gett em Tom

Norfolk, VA

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

Tom Davis needs to run for SC Governor, IMHO...

We need men like this in important positions to affect rightful change.

It's great when

when someone in office makes a speech like that and means it.

It's about time.

It's about time.

I remember the first thing

I remember the first thing that really caught my attention about Ron Paul was when I saw an interview of him attacking Lincoln's policies... I knew he was the only man in Washington to have that of conviction if he was willing to attack D.C.'s idol.

Tom Davis is shaping up well. What kind of politician would openly, without provocation, proclaim his support of John C. Calhoun. That's incredible. If you haven't read John Calhoun's defense of nullification, please stop whatever you're doing, get Tom Wood's book on the subject (which contains Calhoun's write-up as well as many other primary sources) and read it.

A link to the SC nullify obamacare bill is in

Nullification Bill SC H 3101 - sponsor Representative Bill Chumley

I got my legislator

Dennis Moss to sponsor it!

I'm going to try it tomorrow.

Now I think Rand Paul is the

Now I think Rand Paul is the Liberty Movement's #1 candidate for a Presidential run at this time (some will disagree). Anyways, I think Tom Davis is right behind him, and we need to make sure we do everything possible when he announces he's running against Graham....we do everything possible to get him elected!

This guy was the first senator or congressman to endorse Ron Paul in the 2012 primaries.

His legislation voting records in SC are as principled as Ron Paul's voting record.

He's completely devoted his political career to promoting Liberty.

He's taking classes from the Mises Institute to further understand Austrian Economics.

If we can't get this guy elected, this Liberty Movement will have failed as far as I'm concerned. That's how much of a slam dunk this guy is. Lindsey Graham is #1 neocon as far as I'm concerned as well. And when his campaign is official, $2500 from me. Graham should be enemy #1 to Liberty in congress.

How about Amash? I am down

How about Amash?

I am down for any of them.

Ron Paul
Rand Paul
Justin Amash
Tom Davis
Jesse Ventura

I think it's quite early on this front. I'd love to see a GOP primary packed full of liberty candidates though. (As long as we were able to come together before the end and not divide the delegates and end up losing when we have a majority!)

I thought..

Didn't Jesse move to Mexico?

He has a vacation home in

He has a vacation home in Cabo but is still a U.S. citizen with a home in Minnesota and spends plenty (probably most) of his time in America.

I'd be pretty stoked if those

I'd be pretty stoked if those were the candidates in the primaries. Haha

We really should make an effort to draft this guy against Graham

He had hinted he'd run, then when Haley was picking someone for the current seat he indicated probably not....

I think we should let him know we want him. I believe there are facebook pages to draft him. Also, I'm concerned that he might be the only one who could charge people enough to combat Lindsay's war chest.

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

Mr. Davis said that he didn't

Mr. Davis said that he didn't want the nomination from Haley because there's a lot of important legislation he's going to introduce in SC for 2013. Plus, it was a pipe dream that Haley would nominate a non-establishment candidate.

But, I think it's pretty certain he's going to run against Graham in 2014. He directly asked for our support at We Are the Future rally in 2014.
