“Justified”: Uniformed Invaders Shoot a Man 16 Times in his Bed

Auburn, Washington resident Dustin Theoharis was asleep in his bed on February 11, 2012 when two armed strangers entered his room and started to give him orders. Understandably startled, Theoharis reached for a flashlight. This prompted the two intruders to open fire. Theoharis – who was still in bed – was shot sixteen times, but survived.

The assailants who shot Theoharis were Detective Aaron Thompson of the King County Sheriff’s Office and Corrections Officer Kris Rongen. They had arrested Theoharis’s roommate, Nicholas Harrison, an ex-convict who had failed to report for community supervision. The officers were searching his bedroom to find if Theoharis had a gun, which would have allowed them to charge Harrison with a parole violation. They had no warrant or probable cause, and no gun was found. Since Harrison was already in custody at the time of the incident, there was no need to conduct a “safety sweep” of the residence.

Immediately after the shots were fired, Detective Benjamin Wheeler – one of four other officers on the scene – went to the downstairs bedroom, where he found Theoharis lying in a pool of blood and the two officers who had shot him in what appeared to be a “state of shock.”

He Was Lucky

Hey Piers Morgan

This is what we have the 2nd for!

I know people will read this

I know people will read this and go into the whole "government trying to kill us" routine and "all cops are gun crazed nut jobs", but seems to me this is a case of two chicken sh!t cops whose first reaction is to shoot a man lying in a bed. I get it was dark and all, but come on. You literally caught a man with his pants down and your first reaction to his first movement is "HOllY CRAP HES REACHING FOR SOMETHING I CAN'T SEE CAUSE ITS DARK..SHOOOOOOOT!" They should be removed from the force for being obvious cowards.

If ignorance is bliss, Washington DC must be heaven.

"Us" vs. "Them"

This battle mentality has been much worse since the drug war began and the police were given the job of arresting peaceful people.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

And these are the people we

And these are the people we are supposed to trust our kids' lives to while they are in school? Better idea, let the parents with CC permits take extra training and guard our kids for us. If you depend on the teachers then you end up with teacher's unions controlling things. If you trust the parents your kid will be safer and the parents can get more training for free and won't ask for a small fortune or chase the dollar. End the police state. Don't encourage it. These people believe they have a right to be the bullies of society. Don't coddle them. Convict them instead.

Why is it?

Why is it that officers with years of experience and thousands of hours of training and practice are held to a LOWER standard than citizens who would get life in prison for a similar "perception of risk"?

In otherwords the "experts" can shoot first and ask questions later while the low life citizens will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Time to Face the Facts.

This is commonplace.

Should men in suits subvert the constitution, it is the men in blue (along with their camouflage brethren) who will enforce illegitimate laws sans the Oath Keepers.. who while numerous are vastly out numbered.

The Second Amendment was to secure (not grant) your ability to defend yourself, your family and your community from this EXACT scenario.

It is unsettling, I know. The implications should not be underestimated but it needs to be first acknowledged by every man and woman in this country before they choose to rely on the benevolence of DC and their local PD to protect them.

were all living in amerika rammstein

well at least the whole world still loves us! right? right?

Hell Yes!

I live about 8 miles from Auburn where the assault took place.

Washington, the CHILD RAPE STATE, is a corrupt criminal enterprise. Any court above district court is totally corrupt and that includes the Washington State Supreme Court. Our governor, Christine (the Ice Queen) Gregoire was the state AG at the time, covered up for the rapists at the OK Boys Ranch and the state paid-out close to 30 million dollars to some of the victims but Gregoire never even indicted anyone. Her pay-off for protecting the perpetrators was her appointment as governor. Our next AG, Rob McKenna who will be out of office in a few weeks did not investigate Gregoire and so the criminals all went free.

You ask if the miscreant thugs who did the shooting will get off. Based upon history I would say HELL YES!

would have taken a few seconds to provide links

"King County prosecutors have declined to bring criminal charges against a sheriff's detective and a state corrections officer who invoked their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination in the shooting of a man who was severely wounded after possibly reaching for a flashlight.

The wounded man, Dustin Theoharis, 29, who survived multiple gunshots, also has declined to provide a statement about what happened during a confrontation that lasted about 10 seconds in a dark room inside an Auburn-area house Feb. 11."

SWAT team home invasions...all too frequent!

Does anyone, upon reading this, STILL think that the II Amendment is only to protect "duck hunters"?

They shoot people's pets for no reason if they want and get away with it. Haven't you heard about that?

another good idea might be

To have a couple of chihuahas. They are annoying as hell, but as soon as they see someone they dont know theyll start barking up a storm. At least mine does.

That's why I keep a loaded 12 guage shotgun next to the bed.

They might hit me two or three times before I cut both of them in half. Better to offer condolences to their widows than to mine.
