Calling all Data Hounds: Prescription Psychotropics vs Incidents of ViolenceSubmitted by EGhost57 on Thu, 01/10/2013 - 19:28
OK, So I've scoured the internet for a graph overlaying the rate of psychotropic prescriptions in the US with the rate of violent crime each year. I cannot find it anywhere. And I'm not very good at producing charts like that. If anyone would like to take up the task of researching these numbers and producing a graph, I and much of the world would be forever in your debt.
It would also be nice to get more or less specific with rates of mass shootings, suicides, overall prescription medication, etc. Even other things like hours of TV watched by children on average vs prescriptions for children. Anything to rule in or rule out factors contributing to these mass shootings.
In this visual world we need visual evidence to show the naysayers. If we don't want to lose our gun rights we need to put the focus where it belongs.
So please, if you were looking for a fun project, this is it. Thanks.
