NRA Quits Working With Obama

Laments Their ‘Agenda To Attack The 2nd Amendment’

The National Rifle Association issued a less than encouraging statement after meeting with Vice President Joe Biden for a roundtable discussion on new measures that the federal government might take to limit future gun deaths and mass shootings. The NRA’s tersely worded statement attacked the motivation behind the White House’s summit and expressed “disappointment” in the Obama administration’s “agenda to attack the Second Amendment.”

The NRA, which was invited to and participated in today’s summit, said in a post-meeting statement that they continue to be committed to supporting meaningful measures that may reduce future incidences of gun violence. However, they said that none of the proposals they support were on the table at today’s meeting.

I don't see any mention of the true stats on violent crime. I believe we need to stress these kinds of things. It is being spun that guns are the problem when they are not. Violent crime is violent crime. If the guns are taken, something else will replace it. NRA is right about this being an agenda to attack the Second Amendment.

Biden's whole assignment is a sham

The plan was already made, probably long before Sandy Hook. The NRA should have known that their appearance was just ceremonial. I fully expect action to be taken by executive fiat. Congress has already proven itself toothless and complicit in unconstitutional actions of the executive branch. If Obama comes out with an executive order banning firearms (in whatever manner Eric Holder deems legal), does anyone actually believe congress or the supreme court will do anything about it?

NRA has a history of

NRA has a history of compromising on some things. Which is why more of my money goes to Gun Owners of America. But we're getting to the point where battle lines are beginning to be drawn. I'm a member of both, and we're at the point where there is no more compromise.

Wyoming is making gun control nullification laws, more states will follow. Americans are buying up every round of ammunition, mag, and gun they can. Law enforcement agencies are saying they will not enforce any unconstitutional gun law. Protecting ourselves from domestic enemies has come up in multiple conversations recently.

Americans have about had it. I really hope Liberty shines through soon.

We can't afford to

I hope enough people see now that the other side is only interested in disarming the American people.

While the recent mass shooting was tragic, these kind of events are more unlikely than being struck by lightening. (Just websearch the number of people struck by lightening versus those in such mass shootings over the last 10 years.) But, you sure don't hear calls to make new laws to 'protect' us from lightening, do you ?

Its all emotional manipulation.

What has seemed to be common in just about all of these mass shootings is that the killer was taking psychiatric drugs which can increase the likelihood of suicidal and violent behavior. Why isn't there a call to investigate this ? Over the last few weeks, millions of law abiding citizens who are gunowners, didn't hurt anyone. Yet the emphasis is placed on us.

The antis aren't stupid. They can find this information as easily as we can. Despite their lying words . . . they Do want to disarm us.

It will be up to us, if we'll fall for it . . . or not.
