I was wrong, and I'm sorry.

I got very overzealous in my reaction to the Piers/Jones segment. It was obviously not a good debate (if it were, Piers won) but I am starting to come around. I can't believe it would actually work, but amazingly the reception is far more positive than I ever could have imagined.

I still completely disagree with this tactic, I feel it is sinking to the level of Piers and O'Reilly. In fact I've been describing this show as those two having a lovechild. But it may not have been as damaging as I suspected, and may in fact have killed some apathy.

I'm sorry I let my emotions get the better of me that night. We should sit back, and let it play out before we throw stones. I have always been one to say this, but I let myself slip.

Just kidding....or am I?
HOWEVER:
I commend you on your apology, and it's measure, evidently, of humility.
From the Greek;Humus; of the earth; down-to-earth.

In other words: "things as they really are"...to recognize that.

To be humble is NOT to be someone's "doormat", NOR to surrender one's dignity.
YOU have surely regained yours, and I commend and congratulate you on that......

Alex Jones Piers Morgan Part 1. 1776 Will Commence Again' If Guns Taken Away

I couldn't help myself...

I saw the link and had to watch it again. I must say it is pretty bad ass even if he does come off kind of unhinged. But I can't say much about that because I feel like coming unhinged at least twice a week. We are pissed the hell off and his rant really struck a cord I think.

Oh boy.....

I had not watched any of the alex vs piers stuff. I have been on a self imposed media ban because I have felt like I am so full of rage and despair that I needed a break. Curiosity got the best of me and I did watch the ben shapiro clip and thought he did an outstanding job. I then went and watched the clips of AJ. Oh....boy.... I may not agree with his method but I do believe he may have shaken some folks who were sleeping awake. And maybe that was just exactly what we needed. He spoke some powerful truths and although many will poke fun and call him crazy...I would wager that even some of those folks may begin to see their own cognitive dissonance. Here's hoping that some folks that he shook awake will google some of this stuff instead of going back to sleep. Remember there are many who laughed and poked fun at us but as everyday passes more and more see that we were just ahead of the curve.

Hope alex has a big safety net around him because tptb are none to happy i bet.

Oh I suppose this is why the O'Reilly's snd Piers' do this...

Because it genereally does get results. I am a regular
watcher of Alex and have learned to listen to the content
and ignore the rant.

In regards to your specific comment here about people
perhaps waking up and Googling some of what he said...

There is strong evidence that he had a strong impact and
that many did just that... elsewhere here there was an
article that the term "Democide" went "Parabolic" in the
past few days... some people are getting exposure.

I'm sorry too

For ratting you out to the grammar nazi, it was childish of me. :)

I too am amazed at the

I too am amazed at the seemingly positive reaction from the public.

hey buddy,

don't let outside influences effect your analysis. Trust your instincts.

there's no debating with a

there's no debating with a creature like piers morgan. u can only shout and keep to your beliefs. there's no other way to get your message out on a programme like that.

and anyway we used to tar and feather and destroy things back in the day. shouting at scum is honorable and awesome.

Hey, no worries

This whole forum was ablaze with passionate opinions on that whole thing.

Two things: 1) "We should sit

Two things:

1) "We should sit back and let it play out before we throw stones." Yes, Telfire, you should. Don't say we when what's meant is I. Many people commit this foul. It muddies communication and allows games, kicking aside honesty and clarity. No games. You, Telfire, sit back to let things play out so that you don't throw stones. Because, if waiting merely delays stones thrown, why wait?

2) I fear AJ's presence in mainstream media. My fear is his temperament will infuse media. If it does, bickering and division will be high throughout the United States. That temperament will decimate communication and the volition and ability for teamwork. Already, communication and language in America are damaged. People 30 years old and younger saturate their communication in superlatives. Only 10 to 15 years ago people aged 30 or younger didn't write or speak in excess casually and habitually. Everyone, tighten your language. A lot of things depend on it.

None of it makes sense. Your #1 is entirely wrong as discussed, I used the pronouns I meant to use. Any point you're trying to make in #2 is too heavily obfuscated to be meaningful.

1) No, I meant we.
2) Age has absolutely nothing to do with it.

If you're going to group me together with a bunch of people strictly because of when they happened to be born, you can pretty much forget about me valuing your opinion. It's the same as racism.

Freedom in our lifetime! - fiol.us

Your post was about you,

Your post was about you, making your switch from I to we disingenuous.

Perhaps you meant age doesn't necessitate excessive language? If so, you're right. But age has nothing to do with it? Wrong. It has something to do with it -- because education today is worse than it was yesteryear.

My generalization about that age group was just that, a generalization, a broad stroke, a statement born from observation in which most people 30 years old and younger fall into. I didn't pin you to that group. How could I? I don't know you or your age. About your racism analogy, I don't understand it. Explain it if you want to. See ya.

Well, no, not really. I used

Well, no, not really. I used "we" when I meant "we" and "I" when I meant "I". There is nothing wrong with my use of pronouns. I used them the way I intended to.

And, no, age really is not relevant to use of profanity. There are people of all ages that use profanity. You are clearly and demonstrably wrong. For that matter, I don't believe level of education has any direct relation either, aside from the cultural influences likely to accompany that education.

Tel, reread my comments,

Tel, reread my comments, especially the first one. I said: excessive language, as in superfluous language. I made no connection about age and profanity. :|

Don't worry about it. I also

Don't worry about it. I also thought Jones was a complete buffoon during the interview, but it has caused a lot of publicity, which perhaps was the point to the whole thing. Howard Stern and the female co-host lady or w/e seemed to like it and be sympathetic towards Alex. It's definitely not how I would have done it, but maybe people need something a little crazy to actually pay attention.

Why was he a buffoon? People

Why was he a buffoon? People aren't allowed to get angry about government tyranny? Sitting on your hands and taking it all in stride won't help much.

Sam Adams

Alex Jones is just channeling a very perturbed Sam Adams from the other side of the grave.

ask yourselves....

....can Ben Swann do a "Reality Check" on building 7, or on a series of questions posed by architects, engineers, pilots, or firefighters regarding 9/11.....to make it "mainstream" like Alex Jones supposedly did?

Why, or why not? I mean, if Alex Jones has us "in the drivers seat" of public opinion, and it's all "going viral"...then....let's see some guys seemingly "in our camp" jump on the bandwagon and
DEFEND what we "believe" regarding how ripe we are with disgust, and "ready" for 1776 to commense again.....

We forgive you. That's called Passion

This movement has developed that in me as well.

It is spreading and that is a good thing.

well done TelFIRE

I appreciate Alex, i dont always agree with him, i thought at first he was just out of control and over the top...but there may have (and i stress may have) been no other way to get out what was said.

one of the most telling reasons was my Dad, who is 72 and a multiple gun owner, who generally is apolitical, said to me....that nutjob was refreshing.

so...i am glad it unfolded as it did. and i am glad to read your post. makes me want to be better about my own positions and opinions. well done indeed.
