10 Signs That You May Be Listening To Too Much Fox News

by Tona Monroe | NewsWithViews.com

Shortly after the ink dried on the Constitution, power hungry statists immediately began working to expand the federal government beyond its delegated authority under the Constitution. George Washington was a good man, but he appointed Alexander Hamilton Secretary of the Treasury, leading to the creation of a national bank. John Adams became the first tyrant President, signing the Alien and Sedition Acts. Worse, Adams shoved John Marshall through as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, giving us a constitutional disaster as Jon Roland, founder of the Constitution Society, describes him. The people became fed up and elected Thomas Jefferson in 1800 ushering in the Jeffersonian era. The 2012 election was the election of 1800 of our day, and we had a Jeffersonian candidate in Ron Paul, but the people failed to usher in a new Jeffersonian era.

Instead, we got Flip vs. Dip, big government ObamaCare candidate one vs. big government ObamaCare candidate two. Many Republicans didn’t like Mitt Romney, but voted for him thinking ObamaCare would be repealed. One Republican said to me, now that the election is over, ObamaCare is upon us. I don’t know how any Republican could make this statement with a straight face. ObamaCare was upon us regardless of whether Flip Romney or Dip Obama was elected.

Excuse makers for Romney’s loss should quit now and save further embarrassment. Think about the Romney campaign for just a moment. Normally when someone runs for office, they dress up. Romney was so elitist and unappealing, that he’s the first candidate I recall where his campaign advisors told him to dress down. Romney wore jeans, to try to appear like the average Joe. It didn’t work.

you've been listening to Fox News.

I am glad Obama won

If Republicans think they could have overturned Obamacare they are living in a dream world. Now when the Economy takes a nose dive into hyperinflation the Dems are all in control. If the Democratic party is doing such a great job then we shouldn't have an exodus out of California to Texas. Since they've been in control of California almost forever.

Hopefully most republicans will realize that their party has been in bed with the Dems all along any way.

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

After?

"Shortly after the ink dried on the Constitution?"

I'd say shortly after the start of the Articles of Confederation Amendment Convention. But that's just me I guess.

Have you been listening to Fox News? You may have been listening to too much Fox News if:

1) You thought Mitt Romney was going to win.
2) You thought Ron Paul couldn’t win but Mitt Romney could. (Ron Paul won twelve terms as a congressman. Romney only won one term as Governor and didn’t seek reelection because his approval rating was 34% in Massachusetts.)
3) You thought Mitt Romney was conservative or moderate. (The standard should be liberty vs. tyranny not conservative, moderate or liberal.)
4) You thought Mitt Romney would repeal ObamaCare.
5) You were sad that Mitt Romney lost.
6) You thought there were substantial differences between Flip and Dip (Romney and Obama).
7) You think Iran is minutes away from destroying this country.
8) You thought the war in Iraq was a good idea.
9) You have never researched blowback and dismiss it cavalierly.
10) You believe that Paul Ryan’s budget was fiscally sound.

If you believed any of these you also may be listening to too much Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter or any other right wing propagandist.

the list

I have friends that tell me the only thing to listen to is FOX.. How does someone come up with that on there own?

Great article

The list could also be "If you are a Beltway/Country Club Republican".

Very good, but there is really only one sign.

Your TV is on.

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

Nothing wrong with the TV...

The problem is when you believe the lies!

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

Not really true

A couple things:
1. Brainwave entrainment. You are helpless against it.
2. Electromagnetic exposure. You don't really know what all is encoded in the signal you bring in, full strength.
3. The last 2 hours before bed. Your brain has a process for deciding what is true and what is false. It generally takes about 2 hours for it to do its thing. If you go to bed before it is done processing, it will just dump it into the "fact" pile and move on to "sleep" mode. If it was from a source you do not trust, it may bring it up again in the morning, but if it was from a "trusted" source, your brain will never look back, unless forced to by some outside influence.
That is WHY they used to have very fatherly figures give you the wrap up of the day's events at 10 or 11 o'clock at night. They knew exactly what they were doing. If you say "But I don't trust these guys" you have to understand, you still are the proud owner of a "lizard brain" and it pays little attention to what you SAY, it watches what you DO. If you watch the same guy over and over, the lizard you considers it a "trusted source."
Hypnosis Motivation Institute has a free, online introductory course. I encourage anyone interested in freeing their mind to take it.

Generally...

I like the things you post... And just so you know, I haven't watched TV in most of the last 4 years...
Tell me where it is that anyone can go that there isn't some sort of RF smog? And now most radio, TV and cell phone signals are digital.
I'm not super human or saying I'm not susceptible to unseen "some outside influence"... But I do process most of what I learn and decide it's validity or simply say, "let's see what happens".
If it wasn't for FOX news I may not have heard of Andrew Napolitano or even Ron Paul.
I see it as a tool. I wasn't inundated with the 9/11 memorization that most people were because I was in an are of Europe where no TV was available. I wasn't convinced even after my return that the story was as told.
We're not all the same!

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

It ain't easy, I'll admit.

We were just shopping for land that we could convert to a food forest, out of the city. We just happened to stumble into a fairly EMF free property. First, we realized there was no cell phone service. Good start. Then we checked for wireless networks in range, none. That does not mean there is NO EMF, but it means whatever we are exposed to is weak enough that the devices meant to pick it up can't. If I were to start shopping for land again, I would start by making sure I had no cell phone service. (Ham radio, to answer the question that I know just leapt into your mind.)

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

OK, and I'll mind read the next question too.

We rented a place in town for the winter, we don't have a house out there yet. We will not be having internet service brought in, there are a couple places in town with WiFi if we need it.

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

All good

I've seen some of your Youtube work. Idaho area?
I'm from Florida and you can't as much build a tool shed with an engineered set of permitted plans... Good luck with your local red tape war!

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

Options.

We can build anything we want under 200 sq feet, and with a dome you can get a LOT of mileage out of that. Any basement less than 8 feet high is a crawl space, and any loft less than 8 feet high over most (can't recall the percentage) of the second floor is "attic" and those don't count toward square feet. So, all our outbuildings are no problem. It is living there that is the issue. We can camp there as much as we want, we can live in an RV there 6 months of the year, and we can hire people to tend the farm who can camp there.
Where we wintered over turned out to be a really good deal, and a really nice place. We may never officially "move" to the farm, just keep "living" here and "camping" there. We shall see. I am not inclined to beg permission to do what I want on my land, but I also don't want to start a hassle just for the fun of it.

Sounds very cool!

I did research in my younger days on Geodesic domes. I had planed to build one too. I did construction work so I know how to build.
Good luck and best wishes!

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

Again fishyculture

We are in complete agreement.

When I saw this post my first thought was, "Only Faux?"

My second thought was, and here we may not agree, but when I came to DP, what I really really liked about DP, was that we had discussions that were not about what was being viewed on TV.

Like Ron Paul, who was not on TV, we were having discussions about issues, which included conspiracy theories, but survival, farming.. you've seen the list under topics. And then an "Off Topic" category was created, and that to me, began a shift in DP, from where we began, to today, where for days now, the articles and posts are all about what is on TV.

I don't know about you, but I have never been into TV and I'm not going to get into TV. It's ALL faux to me because when a topic hits MSM.. it's "contaminated".. the TRUTH is lost. TV = TRUTH Vanquished.

Truth vanquished...

love it. :)

Exactly

There was a TV drama last

There was a TV drama last night, I think it's on CBS. It's called person or people of interest. It actually contains a scene about FBI arresting people under the NDAA clause (no lawyer, indefinite detention..)
