I didn't see any blanket

I didn't see any blanket condemnation of all Israelis. Or of all Jews.

Ironic

that those who tend to lump the Israeli government, its people, zionists, and individual jewish people all into one Borg-like entity, are always the first to shout "collectivist".

Because they do not

Because they do not understand how every Jew is not in favor of the Kibbutz. Every Jew is not in favor of Judaic communism. Every Jew does not like baseball.

People like an easy fit, without too much work. Give them communism, and give them capitalism while the rulers of the world rape all of us regardless of our race or economic preference.

Race and Religion...otherwise known as Divide and Conquer.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Says the person

who just equated a comment about the Israeli lobby with criticism of "the jews", in their previous comment. Still not seeing the hypocrisy here?

Utterly amazing you get down

Utterly amazing you get down voted for that.

Israel is not bad. America

Israel is not bad. America is not bad.

Our politicians are bad!

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

why eric bolling ?

why would he have this scoop and not ben swan ? I love the news but sure dont trust this messenger....... Rand Paul 2016 !

Goldmember777

If Rand is trying to get the news out...

...it would make sense to leak it to someone in the MSM, since they reach more people. Ben Swan might be great, but his audience is small.

Ayn Rand in 2016

Which means Paul and Paul will be linking up. A Paul Ryan/ Rand Paul or Rand Paul/ Paul Ryan ticket seems so obvious to me. Why do you people down vote with no debate? Is this idea such an anathema to the DP community? If so, why?

Y'all are so eager

Y'all are so eager to shoot yourselves in the foot. How did we get to where we are as a nation? Did they send Washington on his way and bring Obama into office the next day? Did they ratify the Constitution and then tear it to shreds the next day? Did they declare gold and silver legal tender and then anoint Bernanke economic god the next day?

Hell no! They took away our liberties piece by piece by piece. They took away our rights in a slow methodical process that was invisible, and still is invisible to the majority of Americans.

I as well as most of you would sure as hell like to see a restoration of America overnight, but it's not gonna happen. If you think it is then you need to wake up.

If you want your rights restored you need to be willing to walk in the shoes of the people around you, who might not be so enlightened. If you want to restore liberty to America you need to accept the wins and loses that will come in the battles that make up the war for liberty. If you can't accept a small victory then you have already lost the war.

It's about time we all faced the reality that the restoration of American freedom, liberty and independence cannot happen overnight because it didn't disappear overnight. Even after the war for independence liberty was not universal in America.

Paul Ryan or not, those oriented in liberty need to accept that movement towards the principles of liberty within the body of congress, candidates for office, local officials, neighbors, and ourselves is a GOOD thing.

No one is perfect, not Rand Paul, not Paul Ryan, not you, and certainly not me. If Paul Ryan wants to pander for my vote, let him, he will be judged by his deeds and if he fails to deliver he will be held accountable. Stop waiting for the perfect candidate, start pushing them towards liberty, hold them accountable (as Dr. Paul says) and vote accordingly. If you can't handle that then get off your asses and show the world why you are so much better and WIN a damn election yourself, you liberty loving bastards!

Paul Ryan?

screw that!

Are you serious?

Paul Ryan? I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

He represents NOTHING that the Liberty movement holds sacred, so don't be surprised if you don't get a huge positive response to that ticket.

Agreed.

If we're thinking about giving the other half of the ticket to someone outside the fold, I'd suggest a solid social conservative: i.e. someone with actual beliefs, even if not quite the same as ours - as opposed to a soulless establishment whore like Paul Ryan.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

exactly! Paul Ryan

is a stooge....Mr. balance the budget in 30 years LMAO...

Politicians

Many patriots here have chosen to engage the GOP. Those efforts are worthwhile, in my humble opinion. They have borne some fruit.

I also like Rand Paul. I sent him money when he was running for Senate. That said, I refuse to place my hope in *any* politician from this point forward. I personally think we're past that point now. Maybe I'm wrong, but it is how I see things.

I'm sure there are plenty of good arguments to stay engaged, but I've made the personal decision to detach myself from politics and voting.

I refused to vote in the 2008 presidential election and in the 2012 election. I could have done a write-in of Dr. Paul, but I chose to not vote at all. Prior to 2008, I always voted. I don't wish to offer my consent to the system itself any longer. I no longer have any faith in the system itself. I'd like to see Rand in a position in a *new* government that adheres to the Rule of Law.

Sensible

That is a sensible position, I think. Especially not putting hope in ANY politician or elected official. I am cautiously optimistic about a Rand Paul candidacy for president, but I strongly believe that the time for change via the democratic process is expired and that armed confrontation is now inevitable, whenever or however it comes.

Gold. Guns. Girls.

Rand Haters are going to go nuts when...

Ron Paul endorses his son and voted for him. hahaha. I can see it now. "Ron Paul is a sellout!!!!"

PLAY DA GAME!!!

Rand is the Lesser of the Two Evils (Establishment/Tyrannists)..

vying for 2016...Rubio and Jeb (for now, I keep hearing).

Can you name a better "poison" against tyranny...

Well, he has from now until

Well, he has from now until then to earn his fathers followers trust. I havent heard him take a single stand on our recent attack of our second amendment.

Is Compromisinig the US Constitution a good thing ?

Is fooling people 'for liberty' a good thing ?

IMO one of the things that made Ron Paul such a powerful voice is that he helped educate people on the Constitution and on true free market economics. He always trusted the people - & their right to choose for themselves. (Though he often disagreed with the majority.)

If you endorse positions 'to play the game', to fool people into thinking youre one thing - when really youre not - is that a good thing ? (Some people seem to think this is Rand's strategy, but I think he's a conservative, not a libertarian.)

Do such fooled people even deserve Liberty ? And would it endure very long afterwards ?

Is this the right strategy, the right path ?

I don't think rand is trying

I don't think rand is trying to fool anyone. He is a republican with solid republican veiws. He is not a libertarian.

Here is my post from last November (with Lyrics):

http://www.dailypaul.com/262280/run-rand-run-2016

~Good Night, And Good Luck~

Please don't ever...

say "Folks" when trying to coerce people, especially after ad-hominem attacks should we choose not to support Rand. There are PLENTY of reasons not to support Rand, and one could argue many reasons to support Rand. This is the wrong crowd to talk down to us as if you know something we don't. If you want to promote Rand, there are many ways to go about it but it feels a bit insulting for come down on those of us who were with Ron from the beginning. You can convince yourself that Rand is whatever you want him to be. Me on the other hand, I am crystal clear on Rand, his past and his political style.

I know it's probably bad form

I know it's probably bad form to plug my own post, but syndicated radio talk show host, Steve Deace, is going out of his way to invite the liberty movement and the social conservatives to become allies. This past week he devoted at least 3 days to Rand Paul, Ron Paul, and Ron Paul's earnest supporters. Some of the discussion was very good and some of it made me cringe. Here's the link: http://www.dailypaul.com/269485/syndicated-radio-host-steve-...

Response to my recent DP post was tepid at best. I still think that with Thomas Woods, as the liberty movement's liaison, there is merit to Deace's proposal. Of course that would be up to Mr. Woods. But both Thomas Woods and Steve Deace have said that the times that Thomas Woods was on Deace's shows were Deace's most popular and highest rated programs.

Im voting for ....

Tom Woods 2016 :D

~wobbles but doesn't fall down~

Good luck with that...

Agreed, social conservatives

Agreed, social conservatives have no place in a movement with the word "liberty" in it.

*edit*
If they'd like to change their views on leaving people be, then we can talk.
