Don't trust him.
Don't trust him.
Amen! I mean if you got Eric
Amen! I mean if you got Eric Bolling tweeting about Rand, then you know it's bad! I just don't understand Rand, I mean he could of inherited an empire of liberty minded freedom fighters! I don't really don't understand what he doing lol. I just can't believe he's Ron Paul's son.

Agreed, but who the hell else
Agreed, but who the hell else would one vote for? Gary Johnson got 1%.
It could be Senator Gary Johnson from NM, but....
I heard that he made some kind of promise to a neocon republican who ran for Senate that he, Gary Johnson, would not run for Senate.
Silly promise.

Invest in Liberty, one Apartment deal at a time with me, just ask me how & get rich with me.
I'd proudly join that 1% again
And I won't have any regrets
Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.
And accomplish nothing
except electing Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio to face Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden.....
Seriously, a vote for Rand is 837597820489394858693020289385 times better than a vote for any other viable presidential candidate.

I see. Thank you for telling me that I'm wrong.
I guess the only time that my vote for POTUS wasn't wasted was when I voted for George W Bush.
Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.
No, you're right
I supported Gary Johnson too, but we didn't accomplish much. I'm saying it's ridiculous to choose Gary if Rand is the nominee. We have a real chance here!

lol, what equation did you use to come to that #?
I think some people in these parts are still a little unsure about Rand. I come from the liberal world of things. I came here originally because of foreign policy matters, something I do not see Rand lining up perfectly for. That being said, Rand is absolutely better than Rubio, Bush, Clinton or whoever.... Time will tell. Wouldn't be amazing if he could grab Judge Napolitano as VP?
jrd is still here... kinda in a weird sort of way. She also just might be the happiest girl in the world because she got exactly what she wanted which was a perfect summer wandering playlist.
I was going to say billions or trillions, but instead
I just hit a bunch of numbers lol
I wish Rand haters would spend half the time they spend bashing Rand to bash Reid Pelosi, Bush, Rubio...etc.
Rand's vote for Iran Sanctions got a lot of people here PO'ed but I hardly see how a lone vote against them could have done anything but hurt Rand and cause GOP leadership to exile him. Have any of these people considered that Rand may be taking Ron's advice on these things?
Paul/Napolitano would be an awesome ticket, but I'd also vote for a Paul/Paul, Paul/Cain, Paul/Powell, Paul/Palin, Paul/Bachman, Paul/Rubio, or Paul/any popular prominent Republican to gather the more conservative or women/latino/black votes. VP picks are usually very different from the Presidential nominee for diversity purposes.
I'd rather see a President Paul appoint Judge Nap a SCOTUS Justice, that way Judge Nap is in it for life rather than waste Judge Naps abilities in the almost useless VP position. John Nance Garner (FDR's VP) said the position "wasn't worth a bucket of warm piss"

It is new for me to say this
I mean within a few weeks new, but I could take a rand paul ticket seriously if he had the right vp. I would not be able to support a rand/bachman, or rand/santorum ticket.
Your right, Judge would be better as a SCOTUS justice, but I am just so in love with him, I want him to be something next time around.

Ok Bachman was a little too far
and I totally agree with never voting for Santorum. His cute little "we should just take our marching orders from Al Queda" made sure of that. Yes Bachman is bat$#it crazy but I would consider it for sure. I'm willing to compromise to get a Paul in office. Whatever it takes, IMO the good would far outweigh the bad.
Unless Rand becomes the next JFK and that makes a President Bachman.... I just cringed at typing that. yuck

Either way
I have said it before, and I will say it again.
Keep working and doing what you are doing. I wish I could be more involved in local politics but I move about every 3 months.
Some people here will never jump on the Rand wagon, but do not worry about them. You are doing important work.
And, my air microphone is itching to be used, so I will probably be jamming later. If you want to come jam again for a minute or two the door is open :)

I really appreciate your encouragement, it means a lot to me. Thank you so much, You're awesome!
I encourage you to continue traveling and doing the great work you do. Helping others and spreading the message in ways I never could, I appreciate what you're doing. Keep it up

The only way I would support
The only way I would support Rand Paul is if he were running as VP on a ticket with Judge Napolitano running for President. I just don't trust Rand by himself.

Don’t start jumping up & down just because he’s a Paul.
This might just become a distraction.
Don’t jump the gun. I think Rand is the prestige-seeking, wishy-washy Paul.
Besides, this is only 2013.

Ooooooo goodie!
THIS time we'll have fair elections! LOL!!
This is just a distraction to get money and divert energy. Why on earth would ANY liberty lover support anyone who supported Rombama over Ron Paul?
BFD, Rand is not going anywhere no matter how much he...
sells out, as he is not "one of the anointed" YET. In any event, I am more concerned what plays out in the next five months, not 2014 or 2016.
No surprise
Paul Ryan - Rand Paul Ticket in 2016 seems to be where we are heading.
reality as i see it
rand doesn't have a chance
chris christie will win in a cakewalk
i love liberty and ron paul,,,, but this is reality as i see it
people are sick of being lied to---- and at the minimum people feel christie is a straight shooter
as well as having a 70% approval rating--- in nj no less wich is hugely democratic----nj loved corzine,, mcgreevey,,, florio---we actually re-elect menendez and 86 year old lautenberg---- that's pathetic
hell even obama lover mika brezinski likes, supports christie---
also--- bush appointed christie--he's an insider with ties,,seemingly quietly to the larger public-- and liberty has not taken over the repub party from the insiders just yet
they will love christie and more shenanigans to make him nominee
i really don't care for christie--- civil liberties-weak--- the drug war weak---marijuana weak and many many others
he is trying to cut spending, a plus
but i see what's happening nationally and around me ,nj, ny
Chrisp Chreamie...
..is just a fatter and prettier Newt Gingrich. They both have the same pugnacious charm, plus a thin streak of "regard" (though more likely "reverence", which is based on less) for Constitutional order and due process, but at base they are both mainstream marxists along the lines of Poppy, Bubba, Dubya, and Barry Bush.
But to address your actual point, I fear you are correct and Christie does stand a better chance than Rand in 2016. Still... we shall see, if the Empire and the "Dollar" hold that much longer. On the other hand, if the Dollar (ca 26 grams fine silver) makes a comeback perhaps we could do well without the Imperium and the Fe'ral Reserve Digit both. Stay tuned...

weird to me
20 years ago---to be prez
you had to have experience,,, a record,,,
consistency over time---supposedly
most americans somewhat knew the names
now today--- it's reversed--- as if to have a chance you run early b4 there is to much ammo that can be dug up to be used against you
obama had about 4 years exp.
rand would have about 4 years
and i think obama was naive as to what he faced even after being there for a short time,,,, he underestimated the "machine" that's entrenched
or he was just a good liar and was a sell out from the beginning
It's not how many years
It's who you know and what support you get.
Rand's advantage is the experience being Ron Paul's son. Since he was a child, he has helped campaigns, met people and made connections. He watched his father.
Let's face it, Rand is no dummy. It's not like he sat in the corner sucking his thumb.
Rand is vetted, and he will shape the GOP in a way Ron Paul as the "crazy uncle" in the house, never could.
STAND WITH RAND 2016
It amazes me how...
neocons everywhere and all their talking heads from the top to all the way down to our local neocon radio station hosts to all the way down to my neocon duped republican koolaid drinking friends like Rand Paul. In a single breath they say,..."Well I don't know about his father, but I really like this Rand Paul". They will say that to Rand face, and Rand will go right on and explain his 'reasonable' position, which as far as I am concerned is the very same position his dad takes.
I mean I have neocon republican business friends who have seen every bit of Ron Paul propaganda since 2007, and it has not made on dent. Then comes Rand Paul, says the same thing in his way, and snap, they "agree". They can go on and say they 'really like Rand Paul, but not his father'.
Its as if they psychologically are ready to accept all of Dr. Ron Paul's political positions, but cannot bring them to say, "I like Ron Paul" without a "but" thrown in. Then comes Rand Paul and they can say, "Now him I like!".... It must all be about saving face or just a matter of style or a combination of both.
Well whatever it takes to sell liberty I say...
In car sales, at dealerships, they know this psychological thing about people. Once they don't like the salesman, though they may grow to like the car, they insert a new salesman to continue and make the sale. Perhaps we in the liberty movement are doing that, inserting our new salesman for liberty.

Well said Treg!
It amazes me too.. yet.. I am grateful whatever it takes to promote liberty and wake them up.. and if it's Rand.. OK.
Gee.. If an old hippy chick like me can become a Republican.. well, maybe these neocons can become Liberty minded Republicans too.

focus on local!
All this talk about Rand is great and all, and it is never too early to gain momentum and start working on Rand 2016, but in all honesty we should put almost all of our focus back on LOCAL elections, and taking the country back county by county. We can never put all our faith into a "ruler" top down mentality. The power of the system is in our hands. When we take more of this country back we as a collective patriotic constitutional consciousness can guide whoever is behind the wheel more effectively. That is far more important than just winning the presidency. We need to control more of the power structure so once we have our man "whoever" that is, the outcome for the country will be an amazing return back to a constitutional republic, and a much more peaceful world. We should constantly be pushing and promoting anything from a precinct captain, mayor, police chief, to a senator, etc. That is how we've been winning and how we will continue to take back the country! Piece by Piece, county by county, and then we take back the presidency.
Actually, it is part of the local effort
Committees are divided over who we support.
When I attended my first GOP committee meeting, they wanted to know who I was supporting for president.
The chair asked me with hope in his voice, "You support Perry?"
When I said no, the treasurer asked, "Bachman"?
When I said, "No, I'm here for Ron Paul." They both sank under the table, covered their heads, and wished I would go away.
Rand is bringing us together and affording us the opportunity to teach the GOP. It's awesome.

Yes to this. And Rand has been doing a hell of a job spreading the message and gaining support.
