Wow - thanks for all the info.

It reminds me of what someone told me about the first Xbox, the black one. It could be modified to download hundreds of Nintendo and Sega games whose game play mimicked the original games or played with barely noticeable imperfections.

I wouldn't be surprised. VHS beat Sony's BETA format because of the widespread availability of porn for VHS. At least that is how legend has it.

By Microsoft being mediocre, I was mainly referring to Windows + Interent Explorer + Office, which are my main points of contact with them. They've lost me. Once you go Mac, I can't see ever going back.

Here's an interesting perspective on Apple vs. Microsoft; Steve Jobs vs. Ballmer

I forgot to say the Wii plays

I forgot to say the Wii plays Game Cube games. I read that info before I bought those two Cube games. That's why I'll buy a Wii someday. Then I'll be able to play those two games and the seven or so Wii games I own. lol!

Oh, man. That's right. NOW I remember why I bought Tecmo Bowl for the Nintendo DS. I'll have to look it up again, but I think DS games can be played on the Cube or if not, then I, influenced because of what I was finding out about system hacking, thought it or some Nintendo system can be modified to play DS games. THAT'S why I bought Tecmo Bowl more than two years ago without owning a DS and not owning one, still.

One thing I remember, though, is that the Game Cube plays Game Boy Advanced games. And the only reason I'd buy the Cube is to play a few GBA games, its two Metroid games and the Zelda: Minishcap. I'd love to play those Metroids, ones resembling the SNES Metroid, my favorite game in the series.

On a different note, Michael, concerning the History Channel show The Men Who Built America, I watched it on TV where each episode was two hours with commercials. I did watch the first episode on HC's website which prompted my interest to watch it on TV. There were no commercials during the first episode on HC's site. So, even though the start and end of episode one was the same between TV and HC's website, I assume episodes two, three and four are formatted the same between the two medias, that their starts and endings are the same regardless of commercials in one medium and no commercials in the other. If so, then episode three indeed is the episode containing mention of Rothschild.

When I watched episode four on TV, the final installment in this mini series, it was halved instead of in one two-hour show. Weird. I mention this halving because perhaps HC might divey up the episodes in a way that TV episode three is different than website episode three. The Rothschild-mention scene on TV is foreshadowed one hour earlier, yes, to the minute, I recall, a parallel. This parallel is in time, as in the ninth or tenth minute to the hour ninth or tenth minute, and it's in visuals of the scene, dark and shadowy.

In the first track of this parallel, Junius Morgan walks down a shadowy hallway in his home (really, a mansion) with his son and says something about finances in the US and on the other side of the Atlantic (ocean). On watching this scene the first time, my mind zipped over to Rothschild because I know the family's home base is Europe, mostly England and France. To someone such as me, who studies how the world works and recognizes Rothschild's involvement, I began speculating about Junius' comment, then I discovered my speculation was accurate one hour later when Julius, after the death of his father, made his comment to Thomas Edison.

Decent mini series, but there's a lot of history left to tell, lots of important information and some truth bending to straighten, lol. Maybe that information is for later episodes if there will be later episodes. If I hear an expansion of this series is out or on the horizon, I'll let you know. If you hear about it and you don't mind informing me about it, please do so. I know I'd like to watch it. Thanks, Michael. See you round. Go, Redskins.

Micheal, I can't comment back

Micheal, I can't comment back to you. Good luck to the Pats... Hopefully we will be back next year. still need a couple key positions filled.

Sierra - Thanks

LegalizeLiberty said the same thing - that he couldn't comment back to me either. Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks. It was a heartbreaker to see the Brocos lose. I always hated Elway. The Seattle-Denver rivalry used to be pretty hot. Isn't it funny how you can hate a guy because he was so good? lol. We had a lot of respect for Elway in Seattle.

Good luck next year.

I wonder where Tebow is going?

He'll probably end up a

He'll probably end up a Redskin knowing the Redskins' luck. Griffin's going to be out for a year. Right when we got going again, bam, bad luck. Someone needs to perform acupuncture and cupping on Griffin's knees and legs. Prick locations and especially vessels: get the bad blood moving away (and out the body), allowing fresh blood to move in, bringing in nutrients and oxygen and enabling remaining bone to generate osteoblasts which evolve into osteocytes, forming new healthy bone instead of ankylized (sp?) bone. Heal naturally, I say. If surgery, do it to remove without implantation.

Once implantation, there's no returning to the natural state, well, without major aid and time lost, probably a lot of time. (Happened to me concerning jawbone surgery that beforehand I overlooked a check list of what the dentist could do to me. I overlooked the collagen plug implantation. Had I not let my exuberance get hold of me where I flitted down the list marking all boxes (which stated what he could do to me) and signed my name at its bottom without thinking this dentist would act contrary to what he said in his video taped two-hour lecture, to not use plugs because they stop blood flow which negates the surgery and could exacerbate the patient's problems, I'd be fine today doing the work I want to and I'd probably have a girlfriend and my own place instead of being poor, single and living with my dad.) Anyway.

I don't have a problem with Tebow. He can run, after all, a skill Griffin has and I think is what Redskins' offense is tailored to. If Tebow goes to the 'skins, I hope he'll be what Steve Young was to Joe Montana, one heckuva backup QB.

How on earth did the Broncos lose that game

I saw it with 3:00 left, and it looked like Dever had it in the bag. They were up 35 - 28, took over on downs, and all they had to do was run out the clock! I was looking in the window of a bar, so I continued on my walk.

Then at the end of my walk, I'm at the window of another bar, watching Baltimore kick the winning fieldgoal in 2 OT!???

What the hell happened? I felt sad for Peyton. He looked particularly miserable. I felt miserable for him also. It is over for him. How many years has he got left in him?

It is the same for Brady. He's getting old. 35 years old now. How many more seasons? Three more, maybe. Then does he become a Peyton manning, and have to finish out his career by starting over in a new place? What does he love more - the Patriots or the game of football?

Anyway, I feel your pain. As for tomorrow, GO PATRIOTS!!!

Peyton ends another season with an interception

3 turnovers for Peyton today, looking like Brett Favre out there.

Flecko threw

a 70 yard Hail Mary and the dude caught it. Flecko can definately throw the long ball as well as anybody. Went into double OT and the Ravens pulled it out. looks like an upset weekend...Green Bay just got whacked by San Fran-sissy-co.

70 yard Hail Mary?

SF is for real. I like that kid Kappernick. Is that his name?

I can't wait to watch Seattle - Atlanta tomorrow, and then the Pats-Texans.

There really is an emotional high that comes with riding a winning team. It is a good high. While I've been in Boston, the Celtics have won, the Red Sox have won and the Bruins have won it all. What an incredible run. I feel blessed to live in a town like that. It elevates the people and makes them happy. Weirdly.

But I have yet to see the Pats take it all. In 2007, I was happy. I had only been here a couple of years, and I wasn't yet a Pats fan. They kind of annoyed me, running up the scores like they did. 56-0 scores. So I was happy when they lost. I felt like it was a just reward: It was humiliation, the way they had humiliated so many teams that year. They went 16-0 that year, and lost in the Superbowl. I cheered.

Last year was a different matter entirely. Somewhere in the intervening years, I became a Pats fan. I think it was that the following year, Brady hurt himself and was out for the season on the first game of the season. How prophetic. He didn't play a single game after that, for the whole season.

The following year was his comeback year, and people were nervous. This was where he was going to prove who he was, and he came back tough. And that's when I could see how hard Brady works, and how dedicated he is to excellence. That is something that is really admirable. Plus he is so great under pressure.... Until it comes to the big games, it seems.

Anyway, who am I to critique? He's won 3 superbowls, and he wants to win 5, just like his hero Joe Montana. So I'm rooting for him.

Joe won 4

Though Joe never threw an Int in the superbowl and never lost a superbowl.

Michael Nystrom's picture

You're right - my mistake

I guess it is Brady who wants to win 5, lol.

If so, he's going to need this year. He's getting old. How old did Joe play until?

The NFL is nothing but a distraction.

i will catching up on some sleep.

My prediction for this

My prediction for this weekends games...

300,000+ people will get felt up by TSA run stadium security.

Peyton Manning is a stand up individual...

I'd like to see him and the Broncos win as well.

i agree

I don't know Manning, but he seems to be a class act.

I enjoy watching him command the field, moreso than any other QB in all of, like, evar.

Yeah it's funny because I

Yeah it's funny because I tell my boys, sports were created to keep us distracted, so we won't focus on what's really important. Imean why do you think Cesar created the games? That's all football is ! And then they say, then why do you watch it? what else would I do? Stay in my room all day, driving myself crazy with all these thoughts. I gotta have some outlet! Lol, He says I'm just messing with y'all. I figure as long as I see through what their pushing I'm cool. I hate when I see commercials of the players n military! It drives me crazy lmao. They always say the same thing right? Anyway go Ravens aka Ray Lewis! I wish Ray Lewis was a Ron Paul supporter lol. We need that type of passion guys!

Bread and Circuses

But I'm a hypocrite. I'll be watching too. Hopefully we get 4 entertaining games this weekend.

It is not bread and circuses.

It is not bread and circuses. I started playing as a little kid, Loved the game, played well enough to earn a College scholarship and was good enough to be invited to the broncos training camp way back in 86. I played because it was fun. Far from a bread and circus.

Michael Nystrom's picture

Don't call yourself a hypocrite

It is bad for your health. Just enjoy the games. I don't think there is anything wrong with watching a few football games within the context of a balanced life. Since I don't have cable, I can't watch today's games. But I'm going to a friend's house to watch both tomorrow - both of my teams are playing: Seattle and New England. That's the Superbowl match up I'd like to see.

Haha Thanks

I wasn't being all that serious though to be honest. I completely agree w/ you that you need diversions on occasion to have a balanced life. Good luck to your teams and enjoy the games. And thanks again for creating the DP! :)

I would rather the Pats play the Broncos

than the Ravens, so - sorry brawler: Go Broncos! Until next week, that is.

Smoke em

If you got em. Go Colorado!

On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron.

Ravens, b****!

Ravens, b****!
