I am going to see Ron Paul

Ron Paul is speaking Tuesday, January 15th in Lexington, VA. Anybody else going from WV, KY or OH area to carpool? How early should I get there for a 7pm speech?

You will come out changed. Ron Paul has an undeniable 'presence.'

Great talk

Advanced tickets were sold out in one hour. I had to wait in the cold rain for an hour to get one of the last 150 tickets.
The organizers were surprised with the strong turn out. They based there projected turn out on last years talk by Rudy Gulliani. Haha.
Anyone else there?

No one ever wanted to see the Ghoul... didn't anyone tell them

Ron had 4200 people in Utah in October?

I feel badly for all those who wanted to go, who couldn't.

Also, I hope Ron knows it is semi formal dress at the Chapel

he often is in shirtsleeves or a sweater for student events.

Get there very early

if you want to be able to get in. Lee Chapel is not that big.

DUE TO DEMAND THEY ARE MAKING IT A TICKETED EVENT

"Contact Committee
Due to overwhelming interest from the Washington and Lee University community and the general public, the CONTACT Committee event “An Evening with Ron Paul” will be a ticketed event. Lee Chapel, the venue for the speech, only has 500 seats and tickets are available but limited relative to demand.

Tickets will be free and can be obtained two ways. The bulk of the tickets will be available free of charge from 9am to 3pm Monday and Tuesday January 14th and 15th in the Elrod Commons Living Room on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Approximately 150 tickets will be reserved for distribution to the first people in line in front of Lee Chapel immediately prior to the opening of the Chapel. These tickets will also be free of charge.

One ticket per person. As a reminder, Lee Chapel (semi-formal) attire is required for all in attendance."

On the 'informal' facebook page this was attached to, someone was hawking an event with a candidate for Lt Governor 'to follow right after' -- apparently Ron's visit is viewed as an opportunity for exposure! =D

I'm in California so I am not going to this one but I saw him last April at UCLA. Have a great time!!

He REALLy should do Q & A though. His speeches are great, but his Q &A is AWESOME....

Get there early enough to talk to media.

I heard the Doctor speak in Ames IA in '08 with 4 or 5 people who drove down from La Crosse WI. One of them talked to a guy from Reason magazine and another was interviewed by Al Jazeera. I also saw Russia Today there interviewing someone.

Since it isn't election season anymore there might not be as much media other than the local paper. Have your talking points ready!

If anyone is there or not be sure to film and maybe interview someone yourself!
