VIDEO: McChrystal on Draft: National Service Would ‘Pull People Together’

By Andrew Johnson | January 13, 2013 11:36 A.M.

When asked about his thoughts on implementing a draft on CBS’s Face the Nation, General Stanley A. McChrystal said national service would have a positive impact because it would “bind people to their nation” and “pull people together in shared experiences.”

I suggest the General

And all his buddies form a circle and pull together.

On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron.

Another in a Long-line of Constitution-Shitters and Would Be...

...tyrants.

One who believes government 'owns' people's lives and one who believes in a government that should dispense or withhold 'privileges', rather than holding a belief in fundamental individual liberty...likely with the exception of his own.

Like General McCollectivist, I too trained with and carried 'so called' assault weapons and have seen what they are capable of.

Unlike General McCollectivist, I understand that equivalent firearms are at the root of the whole concept and reality of 'Liberty's Teeth' and are therefore utterly critical for individual people to own, train with and carry, so that they maintain a credible tool to defend against tyranny in government and any other purpose they choose to entertain.

Also, unlike the statist-general officer, I do not believe that any government has ownership of a person, therefore, involuntary servitude is a no-go. If one chooses to sign up, so be it.

As I see it, of course.

Yeah...pull us all together

into the same hospital to replace our amputated limbs.

Correct me if I am wrong

but didn't he say a while back that he would want women in the draft too - or was that some other nut job.

Too many to keep track of.

do you know the best part of serving in the military

all the free shots you get.

Of course I have NO idea what the hell was in all those damn things - but I am quite sure they were good for me - and they were FREE!!!!

Just think - if we draft people - we can force even more crap into them - because you can't say no in the military.

He doesn't support the First or Second Amendment

He stated in the same interview that there should be a law prohibiting retired generals from commenting on troop levels in current conflicts.

He also said that civilians have no business having semi-automatic weapons.

General McCrystal has been fed a steady diet of globalist propaganda since he first became a cadet. He is a disgrace to the uniform and the oath he took as an officer in the United States military.

crazy

stuff

War is Peace. Join the army,

meet new friends, see the world, help spread peace, become a true patriot... Looks like the Ministry of Truth has a new spokesman. I think this was a trial run for what Obama is about to pitch to the illegal aliens. Desperate. Shameless.

"If you want something you've never had before, you have to do something you've never done before." Debra Medina

Translation from Statist to English.

Read "bind people to their nation" as enslave people to serve the state and read "pull people together in shared experience" as force everyone to experience the trauma and brutality of war.

Conscription Violates The Thirteenth Amendment

No matter what the Supreme Court says.

Conscription should be voluntary....

lol..

He's right! Remember back in

He's right! Remember back in the 60s, we were 100% unified. No one was opposed! ;)

Seriously though, we're supposed to live in a voluntary society. And I would also not want to fight along somebody who didn't want to be there. It puts me and him in danger.

In other words, steal their guns and then conscript them.

We will let some contrived enemy kill them while they fight for some foreign queen's corporate global holdings in a 3rd world hell hole.

The queen will prop-up the dollar and the poor disarmed suckers can die heroes in a godawful foreign war so we don't have to bring them home and feed them.

This is about the way congress and the president think.

.

Respectively

I thank the 60s generation for defeating mandatory conscription (and beautiful music ; )

Michael Nystrom's picture

For now!

At least the beautiful music of the era was recorded for posterity and will never change.

Mandatory conscription might be like a zombie. It might come back.

But I just don't see how they'll need that many men. Our technology is so vastly superior we don't need as many men... Or so we've been led to believe.

History shows time and time again that things can change in an instant.

All art is only done by the individual. The individual is all you ever have, and all schools only serve to classify their members as failures. E.H.

Change as constant..

Tru dat ;)

We already have this

It is called being a veteran. Veterans always connect and support each other, no matter where, or when...this guy is Nazi Germany.

I give him credit for sounding like a good salesman. Hopefully the people aren't suckered in by in. A load of rubbish he is saying.
The military brings people people together, so does going away to college.

We do not need a draft. What good marketing strategy he is employing. Wake up America.

We are losing more of our youth to brainwashing-Nazi Style.

The only draft that would do

The only draft that would do this country any good would be mandatory service in the infantry for all children of all congressmen, senators, and presidents who vote to send our troops to war.

Michael Nystrom's picture

Ha !

Hear hear. The elites' kids are always spared.

All art is only done by the individual. The individual is all you ever have, and all schools only serve to classify their members as failures. E.H.

oops

double post

As if he wasn't wicked enough already, now he drools openly...

...at the thought of enslaving us.

Just like Rahm Emanuel and his big, bright idea 'The Plan' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KPSjUIJwpg

These diabolical people must grow on the same tree.

Liberty

Freedom is what pulls people together.

Lysander Spooner, Bastiat, Hazlitt, Rothbard

I was bummed

when Larry Pratt thanked him for his service.

McChrystal and his ilk are the reason every man and woman in this country should own a fully automatic AK-47 and be stocked with a thousand rounds of ammo.. To make them think twice before re-instituting slavery via the draft.

"thank you for your service"

is one of those mindless phrases that many people seem compelled to say today. Pratt likely said it to let people know he's not against the people in the military. Then Pratt made his points that opposed those of McC.

Yea

Just one of those things. McC's proven beyond a doubt to be scum. So when I hear anyone thank him for the havoc he's caused, it makes my skin crawl.

It didn't change my opinion of Pratt though. I know what he was doing.

McChrystal is a bitch compared to Smedley Butler...

I recommend that everyone read War is a Racket - http://archive.org/details/WarIsARacket

It's only 15 pages long. Read it!

This guy is a laughing stock of America!

I am glad they keep parading him out, as he is an example of everything we choose NOT to be.

its 'cos I owe ya, my young friend...
Rockin' the FREE world in Tennessee since 1957!
9/11 Truth.

Sore Loser

Afganis didn't need the draft to kick this loser McChrystal out - they needed Guns.
That's why now this tax eating killer for the government is making rounds calling for stricter gun controls - McChrystal is fully aware that armed citizens will stop his tyranny.

Alex

Pull together for the biggest fragging in American history?

Doesn't sound like a good plan if you're a globalist turncoat cashing in on selling out and a critical mass of people know it.
