NRA pushing to "keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill"

The NRA has been co-opted by gun control advocates. First, the NRA was pushing for a TSA style agency to condition acceptance of the police state by children attending government schools. Now, the NRA is pushing to give the Central Government the power to label those that they disagree with as "mentally ill" in order to disarm them.

A recent article published at xfinity.comcast.net says:

The NRA, instead, is pushing for measures that would keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, until a person gets better.

I imagine "getting better" involves pledging support to a tyrannical State that is trying to void Americans' - inalienable - 2nd Amendment rights.

What will be the definition of "mentally ill"? "Extremely" religious? Regularly opposes authority? Depressed? Overly anxious? Too outspoken? Veterans that suffer from PTSD?

I say to hell with the NRA. I suggest those that truly want to support the 2nd Amendment withdraw their participation from the NRA and join the GOA. Use your free market vote to punish the NRA.

The NRA will help the government declare everyone mentally ill.

The NRA clearly supports gun confiscation.

They would rather see armed guards in schools than gun owners holding guns.

...are the "mentally ill" those who support, defend, and cheerlead for the "great gains" Alex Jones made "on behalf of liberty" through his appearances that have "gone viral" last week, and will most likely headline the blogs and forums and right-wing and left-wing cable talk shows this week???(I hope you all know my thoughts by now)

Or, is it just us "deceived"(who need religion as a crutch because we're weak-minded in the opinion of the great selfless atheist and conspiracy-peddler Jesse Ventura) who would subscrice to a literal 6-day creation since NOBODY was there "at the beginning"; who also believe our founders reverence for the Creator so named in our Declaration of Independence should be lauded, that need their gun rights revoked? I mean who among us really doesn't believe that knowing God's Word and loving His commandments is the more pressing mental disease these days???
